DELICIOUS DANGER by Desiree Holt

Book 3 in the Phoenix Agency series.

Kelly was shocked when her Caucasian Ovcharka Xena bonded with Rick Latrobe. The dogs are known for linking with only their owners. She's even more shocked at the intense sexual heat that sizzles between her and Rick. When she tumbles into bed with him at the very first opportunity, experiencing a night of erotic bliss in his arms, she knows they have something special.

But Xena is very much aware when an attempt is made on Rick's life, and the dog drives Kelly crazy with signals of danger as a shipment of arms is stolen in Iraq. Rick is nearly killed and Kelly and Xena are ferried to the secret clinic he's taken to. As Rick heals and they race to find the mastermind behind the plot, the sex between them heats to the boiling point.

Publisher's Note: You just can't keep a good story down. Previously published as Scent of Danger with The Lotus Circle and then Cerridwen Press, this book has been revised and the bedroom door opened for Ellora's Cave.

  12. You sure are a busy lady, with 2 releases now and so many more coming up! Do you finish 1 book befores starting another or do you have multiple books going at once? If you work on multiple stories, is it hard to keep them straight?

Happy release week, and can I say what a fabulous year this has been for you and all your fans!

I am really enjoying the Phoenix Agency series. Love the combo of hot romance and psychic storylines.

  16. Hey all! Love, love, love that you came to the party. Waving to buds Fedora and Cathy. Cathy, at the moment there are 5 books in the series, the 5th currently in process. But there may be more. We'll see. Hard to go back and add? Not really because I already had a concept in my head of what I want to do with the characters and it allowed me to enrich them. Yum!

  17. Hi stacy! Glad you enjoyed Crack the Whip. At the moment 4 books are planned but I expect there will be eight in total. Keep chasing those cowboy s with me!

  18. Congrats on the new releases.
Look forward to reading both of them. What made you use a Caucasian Ovcharka for the dog in the story, not a dog that is well known?

  19. To follow up on Jean's question - what on earth IS a Causasian Ovsharka dog? Where does it come from?

Congratulations, Desiree, on these releases! Oh, My, Goodness - you are one busy lady - and we all thank you for that.

Given that you have all of these different series in the works, do you have any special routines that you follow? What are your 'must haves' when you sit down to write?

    Enjoy the party!

  20. Jean , political thriller author Brad Thor is a good friend of mine. He used the dog in several books and the psi aspect fascinated me and fit right into the theme of the series.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The Caucasian Ovcharka is a sheepdog in the Caucasus Mountains of Russia that has proven psi ability.
When I sit down to write I have to have the television on and a cold drink or coffee. The I write for six hours, pushing through even when I hit a wall, or switching from one story to another.

  23. I have to ask, at any given time, how many different books are you working on? You always seem to have something new coming out. Thanks for the giveaway.

  24. Hey Jen. I'm usually working on at least 2, sometimes 3 books at a time. Keeps me fresh. And Debby? I went ziplining over Bootleg Can yon in Vegas. Plan to use that. Also did a police ride along twice. Also toured a place where sniper rifles are made and learned to shoot one without shooting myself!
