Celebrating A New Time-Travel Menage From Missy Martine

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Missy Martine's new time-travel historical Western menage romance, ANNA DOUBLES DOWN.

Missy Martine is an erotic novelist who began her new career late in life, after she had retired from nursing. She's written contemporary ménage, paranormal erotic romance and is the author of the Wolfen Heritage books, a trilogy of wolf shapeshifter romantic thrillers.

ANNA DOUBLES DOWN by Missy Martine

Anna can't believe how much the woman in the picture looks like her. They could be twins, except the picture was taken in 1871. Either she's a relative, or Anna had a past life in Hamilton, Nevada. Either way, the temptation to visit the old ghost town is too much. She and her friend Kat travel west.

While off exploring on her own, Anna is knocked unconscious when she falls down the steps in the saloon. She can hardly believe her eyes when she wakes.

Beau and Zeke won the Silver Rush Saloon in a poker game and have been partners and secret lovers for over ten years. They don't know what to make of the woman they found half-dressed in their cellar. She claims to know something terrible that's about to happen to their town and needs their help.

Will Anna be able to win their love and trust before it's too late?

  9. Good morning everyone! Wow - you got ahead of me :) I fell back asleep. Thanks so much for hosting this party for me, Author Island. As for the research, this book required more than all my others put together. I started with researching the time era that I was writing about, studied the clothes, food, mannerisms and speech. Then, I traveled to the real ghost town of Hamilton, NV and the mine and mill nearby. My descriptions are 100% accurate from the real thing in this book. I'm going to be around all day so I'll get around to everyone's questions! Everyone have a great day!

  10. Good morning, Sara. My next book is the first in a new series called "Galactic Nuptials". It's about a futuristic mail-order bride agency that supplies brides/mates for various races on planets that have women shortages. It's going to be a fun series with shapeshifters, menages, and good old-fashioned romance. Thanks for stopping by today.

  12. Hello Phyllis, I have a pretty active imagination, and my husband and I were taking a trip on backroads in Nevada. We came across some really old towns that dated back to the 1800's and I started wondering what it owuld be like to have lived back then. Next think I knew, I was taking notes on a tablet in the car and "Anna" was born. Thanks for stopping by today.

  18. Thanks so much, Elizabeth - and thanks for stopping by.

  19. Hi Desere, I get my inspiration from my wicked imagination. Truthfully, I found true love late in life, after spending 20 years in an abusive relationship. Since I found my soul mate, who happens to be 10 yrs younger than me, and it makes me want to create romantic stories that encourage others to believe that there's one true love out there for each of us. Thanks for stopping by today.

  20. I have a soft spot for time travel romance. The thing that always strikes me is that these modern women would have to learn to survive in a time that doesn't treat women the same way. Does the story contain any of the information about how Anna has to adjust? I always figure that the women would end up being the beginning of changing women's roles in society!

  21. Congratulations on your new release. Do you prefer to read and write series or single titles?

  22. Hi Jen, I did a lot of research so I have have scenes where Anna would have to adjust to doing things their way, including an involved scene where she't trying to get dressed, with a lot of garments she's not familiar with, another scene has her getting a bath in an old iron tub set up in the kitchen with water that's been heated on the stove, and my favorite - her introduction to the "privy" - thanks for stopping by today.

  23. Hi Sherry, I've been thinking about that very question for the last few months. I have to admit a preference for reading series - but I also admit that single stories are easier to write. I'm not sure I could ever get so involved in a series that I hade 20 plus stories, but my next 2 ventures are both series with 6 books planned in each one. Thanks so much for stopping by today.

  24. Have you ever gone through a photo album and saw someone who looked just like you?

  25. Hi Leni, I didn't grow up with my family, I grew up in foster homes. When I met my real father, after I was an adult, he showed me a picture of a huge family. There must have been 14 children, and the mother and father. He asked me if I could pick out the young girl that would have been my great grandmother. I could pick her out really easily. She had the same round face and dark hair that I do. To this day, I still think it looks like me, back in my teens. Thanks for stopping by today.

    debby236 at gmail dot com

  27. Hi Debby, Most of my research is done online, but for this book I took it to the road. We visited the real ghost town of Hamilton, NV so all my descriptions would be accurate. Thanks for stopping by today.
