What's a gal to do if she hails from D.C., lives now deep in the heart of Texas, travels often everywhere, and adores Paris, Florence, London, Tokyo and all points east and west?
Ah.
She becomes an author who can write about those romantic places. And if your sweet tooth craves spies, pirates, body guards and gutsy women of today and yesteryears of medieval and Regency England, then she is the author you crave for smoldering erotic encounters and delicious love affairs!
Her name? Cerise DeLand.
Busy lady. Happy writer.

LADY VARNEY'S RISQUE BUSINESS by Cerise DeLand
Lady Kitty Varney runs a discreet, but risqué matchmaking business to support herself and pay off her late husband's debts. When Viscount Justin Belmont appears in her parlor, Kitty's latest client is the very man she was forbidden to marry years ago. Kitty wonders if she can find Justin a woman worthy of him...and if she can bear to match him to another.
But when Justin lists his own criteria for a wife, Kitty is among the few candidates suitable. And he demands each candidate spend one night of bliss with him in his love nest.
Can Kitty deny herself the opportunity to enjoy the charms of the man she's never forgotten? Lady Varney's risqué business might be her saving grace -but it may well become her undoing.

Forgive me for just now signing on!
ReplyDeleteThunderstorms here in south Texas...and oh, do we need the RAIN.
So if I go abruptly and write briefly, you will understand why.
To some RISQUE BUSINESS here:
I adore writing historicals--and do so in erotic romance in medieval and Regency periods. (I did do it in print to the tune of 16 novels with lots of awards and great reviews, too.)
Here, LADY VARNEY has a teeny problem. Money. A woman who is titled in her own right, by ancient writ, she was forced to marry a bounder. You know what happened there. Sadly--sniff!--he had passed this mortal coil--and Kitty is Free. Except of his debts. Damn his eyes.
This is my 5th erotic Regency, a stand alone. The previous 4 (with a nifty little quickie in LADY FEATHERSTONE) were part of the STANHOPE CHALLENGE.
Nedma, THANKS FOR COMING OVER!
ReplyDeleteSOOOO glad you liked Mia Dolce!
How I adore Tuscany!
Want to go with me?
I have been there for extended stays twice and adored it. Florence really lights my fire. I like to sit in the central piazza, sip wine and eat chocolates from the chocolatier on the corner while gazing at the copy of David by Michelangelo.
I just completed a new erotic romantic thriller with DESIREE HOLT, titled UNTIL TWILIGHT, out soon, wherein the opening scene is in this lovely piazza.
Danielle, hi!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you came here.
I like second change love stories too. Somehow I think that even after an HEA with the one you love, maintaining that love requires a sense of dedication to the cause.
Yes. I have been married to the same man forever and still adore him.
Congrats on the new release. It sounds great. I love historicals and hot romance books so this sounds like it would be right up my alley. I would ask you if there is a certain place that you like to write? An office, deck/patio, coffee shop, livingroom?

Congrats on the new releases. My question would be do you prefer writing historicals or contemporaries? And do you have any plans to write any paranormals, since they are so popular right now?
ReplyDeleteI love historicals so I would choose Lord Stanhope's Improper Proposal

I try to read books from lots of catagories. I haven't been able to find non-fiction history books that keep my interest. How are you able to write in the non-fiction catagory and find topics that keep you motivated?

I love the historical period...makes for unlikely heroine since women were not looked upon as equals...well until the authors write them....
