Celebrating A New Phoenix Agency Release For Desiree Holt

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of EXTRASENSORY, book two in award-winning and bestselling author Desiree Holt's Phoenix Agency Series of romantic suspense.

Desiree has lived a life of excitement that brings the color to her writing. She was a summer fishing guide, a summer field hand where she was one of only three women working, a member of a beginning ski team that skied in competition (and no, no broken bones!). She spent several years in the music business representing every kind of artist from country singer to heavy metal rock bands. For several years she also ran her own public relations agency handling any client that interested her.

She is twice a finalist for an EPIC E-Book Award, a nominee for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award, winner of the first 5 Heart Sweetheart of the Year Award at The Romance Studio, and is published by four different houses. Romance Junkies said of her work: "Desiree Holt is the most amazing erotica author of our time and each story is more fulfilling then the last."

EXTRASENSORY by Desiree Holt

Book 2 in the Phoenix Agency series.

Mia battles with skepticism about her precognitive skills. But her visions about Carpenter Techtronics are so vivid she sends anonymous emails. She also has a vision of a gorgeous naked man who arouses her so vividly she is forced to satisfy herself. She is shocked when the man shows up in her office sending her silent erotic messages.

Dan is helping Chase track down whoever is threatening Chase's company. When he meets Mia he has a hard time thinking about anything but off-the-charts sex with this intriguing woman. But bodies begin falling. As Mia's visions escalate so does the explosive sex between her and Dan as well as an unexpected emotional connection. When Mia is shot and almost killed, Dan and his team race to find the killers before they can strike again.

Publisher's Note: You just can't keep a good story down. Previously published as VISIONS OF DARKNESS with The Lotus Circle and then Cerridwen Press, this book has been revised and the bedroom door opened for Ellora's Cave.

  2. Hey everyone. This book is my birthday celebration. The Phoenix Agency is run by 5 partners, all former military, each with special skills. In Book One: Jungle Inferno, the man who becomes the 5th partner is rescued from terrorists in the Peruvian jungle. In Book Two we meet the vert hot and sexy CEO, Dan Romeo, who is in Texas to help a friend. There are 5 books in total, and as each hero meets his heroine we learn she has a special psychic ability that helps the agency in its security and protection work for both government and private contractors.
I love all the men and wish I could keep them but I just have to share them with my readers.

  5. Morning, ladies!
Elizabeth, I got the idea for the series when marilyn CAmpbell, at that time the managing editor for The Lotus Circle, asked me to write something for the new line. It had to have a psychic element in it. One of my favorite songs is If I Needed You by the late Townes Van Zandt and it reminded me of two people communicating telepathically. I'm big on military and suspense so the idea of a Delta Force soldier captured by a terrorist cell and his only communication being with the woman he loves telepathically was born and the plot took off form there. Then my editor asked me to write about each of the partners in the agency and here we are. My shooting instructor is ex-Delta Force and has been a huge resource for me.

  6. Chele, Funny you should ask. I am right in the middle of edits for a book called Joy Ride,. Here's the tag line: Emma was the 'good girl' poster child until she met rock musician Marc-and he took her on the Joy Ride of her life.' The hero is a bass player in a high profile rock band and the story is set against the background of the music industry. The heroine is a thirty-year-old typical 'good girl' who wakes up one day and realizes life is passing her by. I'm really excited about it. It will be releasew August 12.

  10. Hi all!Sherry, my love, each book can be read as a stand alone. Although I refer to other characters the references are brief but informative enough you don't get lost.

  11. Hey Bookwym
Yes, my treat for making my word count each day is to read at night. My faves are romantic suspense and contemporary romance. I also stick my ereader in my purse whenever I leave the house. Just in case *wink*. I have some authors I've been following forever, some I've dropped because I thought their writing got stale and some new ones I'm in love with.

  15. Thanks for the wonderful birthday wishes. Karen, I usually write in the great room. I have a built-in computer station and I keep the television on. (Big secret-I write best to Walker Texas Ranger reruns.!). It's quiet because it's just me, although I have one cat that's very vocal. I can't listen to music because I tend to sing along with it and forget what I'm writing! LOL!

  18. First, Happy Birthday! Today is my birthday. I plan to party down all weekend!

This series sounds really interesting. If you could have a paranormal power, which would you choose? I think I would want empathy. Some of the others are just a tad scary!

    Thanks for the giveaway!
