EXCLUDED by C.M. Humphries
One moment Adam Coy holds the lives of a family at the flick of lighter, and the next someone else holds his inside of the Douglas Residence. Worse off, he’s not alone.
Five others with similar murderous backgrounds find themselves confined to the Douglas Residence, wondering what will happen next and if the owner of the house is a bigger threat than they are to each other. The Douglas Residence has seen many generations from the rich and respected to the greedy and degenerate. All six individuals have heard of the stories that made the house infamous in Raven’s Crook, Chase County. Their only hope of survival is remaining cohesive. That’s assuming there’s a chance for survival at all.
Will the house bring them to the same fates of their victims, or will they tear each other apart first?

HOW TO BECOME A LADY ADVENTURER by Deborah Castellano
It's hours before Luna's wedding to a man who holds less interest to her than the kitchen in his inn. His kisses (the few that propriety would allow) were less electric than the newest alchemical ovens.
Still, she chose him so she could secure a good life for her sisters. She had few choices as a baker’s daughter, and she wanted them to have more.
Promises were made and expectations in place. She was prepared to do her duty...until she received an unexpected visit from a handsome, long-lost childhood friend.
Will Luna be able to resist the lure of adventure, aereships, and Aldwyn?

MAKING LOVE IN THE RAIN by F.L. Bicknell
Olivia is a single mother struggling to raise her daughter, finish college, and work at a popular café. Her ex-fiancé has tainted her view on love, but a chance meeting on a rooftop with a new tenant in her building changes Olivia's life forever.
When Ben meets the fiercely independent Olivia, he knows he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. However, neighbors catch them making love in the elevator, and the repercussions might end not only Olivia's livelihood but their budding relationship, too.
Do they have more to hold them together than one night of making love in the rain?

These sound intriguing! Are these stand alone stories, or do you authors have plans to extend them in a series?

I may make How to Become into a series eventually, but I don't have concrete plans right now :)
DeleteYou all have fantastic excerpts! Congratulations on your latest releases, they sound great!
ReplyDeleteDo each of you have a scene in your mind that you haven't been able to fit into one of your stories yet?

Yes! I would like to talk more about the aereship crew's reaction to Luna and more about Bia and Mastana's relationship.
DeleteHello authors and welcome. I can't wait to hear more about you and your books. Please feel free to pop in toot your horns - we love finding new authors to love!
ReplyDeleteEXCLUDED sounds like a very interesting way to turn the tables on some bad guys. Where did the idea for that one come along?
And this question is for all of you - if your book were to be made into a movie, who do you see playing the leads?
Hope you all enjoy your party today and may you all have much success with your new book and with your career.
These sound like some interesting books. I love horror and romance. My question is, how do stories come to authors? Are they fully formed or meticulously plotted?
ReplyDeleteIt's usually a bit of column A and a bit of column B for me. The seed of this particular story came to me in a dream!
DeleteIs Excluded based on a real house? Sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteAll the books sound good. Very nice covers. How did you come up with the cover ideas?

It was really important to me that Luna and Aldwyn be represented as People of Color and I worked with the wonderful Taria Reed to accomplish that and to give it a Steampunk vibe!
DeleteThank you for visiting!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! Love the covers. All of the books sound good. Wishing you all the best! :)
