Celebrating A New Paranormal Gay Romance For B.A. Tortuga

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of a new paranormal gay romance for BA Tortuga called JUST LIKE CATS AND DOGS.

BA Tortuga enjoys indulging in the shallow side of life, with hobbies that include collecting margarita recipes, hot tub dips, and ogling hot guys at the beach. A connoisseur of the perverse and esoteric, her days are spent among dusty tomes of ancient knowledge, or, conversely, surfing porn sites in the name of research.

Mixing the natural born southern propensity for sarcasm and the environmental western straight-shooting sensibility, she does her damnedest to produce mainstream fiction, literary erotica, and fine works of pure, unadulterated smut.

With characters ranging from supernatural demons to modern-day cowboys, alternative illustrated men to Victorian dandies, the addiction to history and atmosphere is everpresent, and laced through with sensual pleasure. BA's latest projects include werewolves, rodeo cowboys, and fistfighting rednecks.

JUST LIKE CATS AND DOGS by BA Tortuga

If there's one thing Sam knows for sure it's that you can never go home again. As a feline shifter who grew up in a family of wolves, he's used to being a freak. He stays in the city and tries to get his family to visit him, but when a loved one passes away, Sam has to go back to the New Mexico desert for a last goodbye.

Gus only comes back to the pack at gathering time, once in a blue moon. He's usually a wanderer, but he's with the pack when Sam comes home. Gus and Sam have never gotten along, but this time around Gus is surprised by the attraction he feels for this new, slinky version of his high school nemesis.

Sam and Gus may not be able to resist each other, but finding time to be together and overcome their differences might be too much for them, especially when danger lurks just around the corner, and all around the world. Can cats and dogs live to learn together, or are Gus and Sam destined to fail?

  2. Hey y'all!!!

Oh, man. I'm so excited to have this one out. It's my first novel-length m/m book out in over a year and I'm in love with these boys. They made me cry, they made me laugh and I'm as proud as can be.

I do have Romance Trading Cards coming for these boys, and, if you'd like some, please email me at batortuga at gmail dot com with your mailing address and I'll send a set to the first 25 people who write.

    Y'all have a fabulous day! I can't wait to party with y'all!

  7. Joder: This was not intended to be a series, but Cole showed up and... wow. Yeah, book 2. ;-) I think m/m is popular because everyone deserves a happy ending and you know, I've been saying for ten years, if one beautiful man is good, two is better.

  8. Congrats on your latest release! Love the premise of this one :-) What do you like most about writing M/M, or what drew you to start writing in this genre?

  9. Bookwyrm: Believe it or not, I started an entire publishing company 8 years ago because no one was publishing our genre. Julia Talbot and I started Torquere Press together because we and our friends (Chris Owen, Sean Michael, Jodi Payne, Tory Temple, etc) were writing m/m, but couldn't find a place to write it. Now the world's much more open. :D
