Celebrating A Hot New IR Romance From LaVerne Thompson and Stephanie Williams

Today we're celebrating a new release for LaVerne Thompson and Stephanie Williams called MODEL MISBEHAVIOR.

LaVerne is the mother of two teenage girls, a wife, a former intellectual property attorney, a multi-published author, an avid reader and a writer of contemporary, fantasy, and sci/fi sensual interracial romances.

She is an award winning bestselling author, and is currently working on several projects. Since one child is now driving, she no longer has to shuttle her girls to and from school and their various activities, so technically she has more time to write. Which is why she also writes under her alter ego Ursula Sinclair. She can usually be found on online in either persona. Visit her website to read excerpts of her books or check out her blog to see excerpts of some of the stories she's currently working on or check out Ursula's website to see what she's up to.

MODEL MISBEHAVIOR by LaVerne Thompson and Stephanie Williams

JT is a top model for book covers. Burned once already in love, however, he wants nothing to do with another cover model. None can be trusted, until he meets a brown skinned beauty who's shy about posing in the nude--a novelty in his world, and as genuine as she seems.

How could he not fall in love with her?

Tina is a top fashion model, accustomed to strutting her stuff on the runways of the world, but usually all the interesting parts of her body are appropriately covered. When her twin sister, a famous model, has a severe allergic reaction, she fills in on a book cover shoot. Little did she realize she'd been shot in the nude with the sexiest man alive, and he'd want her in ways she never dared to imagine.

  4. Cognrats LaVerne and Stephanie! Sounds like an awesome story and the cover is smoking! Is it hard to write a book with another person? What was your inspiration in writing this book? Or how did you come up with this idea?

  6. Congrats on your release. My question is about collaboration. How does that work? Do you each write a character or a chapter or ...?

  7. Hi Jessica- Steph and I have been critique partners for years so already understood each others writing styles so it was really easy for us to write together. This is actually the second book we wrote together. The first was part of a series we collaborated on, The 3 Sisters Series. We wrote the first book together about the youngest sister, then she wrote about the middle sister and I wrote about the oldest.

And one of our favorite cover models was the inspiration behind the story idea.

  8. Hi DeNita and AI-

Thank you. Steph and I are both working on several things. I just finished up the third book in my Guardian Agency Series that I write under Ursula Sinclair. That has more suspense and drama to it. And also a couple of paranormal works. I know Steph also just finished up a contemporary.

  9. Hi Donna,

Thank you. I know other authors who co-write work do things a differently from Steph and me. And really I think it could depend on the story we're writing what we do. But so far one of us might write a chapter or a section. Then the other one goes over it. So by the time we're done the writing is seemless. We each bring something different to the story that makes it different from either of our independant work. You can't tell where one began and the other one started. That's real collaboration and gives us both yet another voice in which to write with. Plus it's a alot of fun writing with Steph she has a great sense of humor.

  11. Hey Ladies!

Like LaVerne said we’ve been crit partners for years, we kinda know each other’s style. We haven’t come to blows about what should stay in a story and what should go—yet. LOL! And even though our styles are different (she’s deeper, I have a bit of a sense of humor and sarcasm), it works great when the story comes together.

  12. Hey DeNita and Al

OMG! I’m working of several things. I’m working on another IR/Cougar story, a Christmas Threesome. WHOO-HOO! And a Contemporary IR/Threesome. Oh and a paranormal IR short.
    WHEW!

Okay, what I have out now is an Erotic IR/Cougar called DETENTION. A former student has the hots for his Vice Principal, and he turns the table holding her for detention. YUMMY!

And I have a contest going for my fans and readers. I need ideas sent to me for a sequel to FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. It’s a IR/Threesome.
I’m trying to make a name for myself in the Ménage a trois department. LOL
Here’s the link to the contest on my blog: http://missstephaniewilliams.blogspot.com/

    Anyone can play!

  13. hahahhahaha Like I said busy.

For fun what do i read. Well I'm a member of RP World http://rpworldgroup.com and I've been doing most of my reading there. The work is all original stuff and all free by some really talented writers writing in character form. Most of it is paranormal work so that's what I've been reading the most. I'd highly recommend Journey of The Princess of Ice

  16. Wow, great looking book! I always wonder how hard it is to write together. Does one come up with the idea and then the other bounces ideas? Or does one person write one part and the other another?

  17. Hey Jen lightbulb. hahhhahahaha. And we pretty much had it about the same time.

  18. Hi Debby,

Thanks. Phaze did a great job. I think if you find the right writing partner not hard at all. Sometimes one can come up with an idea then we talk it out. The key is I think listening to each other and just being in sync. We usually know where we want the story to go before we begin to write. We have a loose outline. Sometimes it's just okay this needs to happen in the next chapter and we write to get us there.

The funny thing is our styles are different but when we write together like I said before it really becomes yet another style. One we create together. It just works.

  19. Hey Debby and Jen!

Well, LaVerne and I came up with the story talking on the phone and exchanging emails. We were talking about a certain…ahem…male model, and we wondered: “How could a woman be relaxed in his arms especially nekkid! Then we said: “Hey, that would make a great story!”

After some research and bouncing ideas and scenarios back and forth, a story was born. Sometimes it’s dangerous when we talk to each other, because we end up giving each other ideas and yet another story is brewing. LOL!

As far as writing the story together, we pretty much have it mapped out before we hit the computer keys, and we each take a chapter following each other’s style.
