Celebrating A New Christmas Release For Lee Ann Sontheimer Murphy

Today at our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating new Christmas releases for Lee Ann Sontheimer Murphy!

Lee Ann is a Missouri native. Although she emerged from the old neighborhood in her hometown of St. Joseph, Missouri to make her home in the rugged Missouri Ozarks long ago, she retains nostalgia for the hometown.

Her first novel, Wolfe’s Lady, debuted from Evernight Publishing in December 2010 and her second, Love Tattoo, came out in March 2011 from the same publisher. She has three other novels due out in 2011 and two confirmed for 2012. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, Paranormal Authors Guild, Missouri Writers Guild, and the Ozark Writers League.

She now lives with her husband, three children, and one feisty Jack Russell terrier in what passes for the suburbs in a small town.

SING WE NOW OF CHRISTMAS by Lee Ann Sontheimer Murphy

When Jessica Martin met Johnny Devereaux that December, holiday magic filled the air. But their love was no enchantment. He was without doubt the love of her life and by summer, they were happy newlyweds with their life and many more holidays ahead.

But when Johnny failed to return home from a fishing trip on the Fourth of July, Jessica's world was rocked to the foundation. When the authorities tell her that her husband is missing and presumed dead, Jessica refuses to believe it. As the months and seasons pass, no one holds out hope but Jessica believes.

She knows he'll be home for Christmas. Her family calls her crazy and Johnny's family tries to help her find closure but Jessica's heart refuses to surrender.

And when Christmas comes, the truth will shock them all.

Thanks you! I am so excited about this book - just got back from being dragged out of my writer's cave to do a little Christmas shopping but I love the season so I can't complain much! So far, it seems to sell nicely and I've got great reviews from Manic Readers and Sizzling Hot Book Reviews.

I have the fourth book of the Love Covenant series from Evernight coming out in January and five more Rebel Ink Press releases, two in February so there's so much more coming.

I'll be hopping in and out so if readers have questions, I'll be back to answer them!

  3. Congratulations!! I know I will enjoy reading SING WE NOW OF CHRISTMAS.

Apart from the time of year & all it brings, is there is difference in writing a Christmas story?

  4. I am really stuck on the name. Did you come up witht the name first or the story? Does the name refer to something specific? The story sounds emotional. I am really interested in finding out more about the character's journey.

  6. Mary - yes it's a little different writing a Christmas story because you have to recapature that holiday mood and feeling.

Jen - the title comes from my favorite Christmas carol, a 15th century French song with a haunting and poignant melody. It seemed perfect for the book so it became Jessica - the heroine's fav - too

I have a Valentine's day novel coming out Feb 3 from Rebel Ink Press, A Patient Heart I think readers will enjoy. And I'm trying to come up with a new Christmas idea for next year's release.

  7. Thanks for responding. I looked up the song on YouTube. I actually know the song but I never knew the name. I am going to add it to my iPod. Have a great day!
