Celebrating The Release Of Cherish D'Angelo's LANCELOT'S LADY

Today we're celebrating the release of LANCELOT'S LADY by Cherish D'Angelo (aka Cheryl Kaye Tardif) as a stop on her massive "Cherish the Romance" Virtual Book Tour!

Cheryl is a Canadian author, whose is best known for Whale Song, which is now available in its third edition, the 2010 ebook edition.

Whale Song, an emotional mystery that explores controversial issues like assisted suicide, school bullies and racism, has captured the attention of numerous film companies. A screenplay, which Cheryl wrote with co-writer Alison Neuman, was completed in 2006, along with a movie treatment. Cheryl is now in negotiations with a respected film producer/director.

Cheryl branched off into romance with her debut romantic suspense Lancelot's Lady. Since romance is a different genre from Cheryl's usual suspense/thrillers and YA, she wrote Lancelot's Lady under the pen name of Cherish D'Angelo. Lancelot's Lady was a semi-finalist in the Dorchester Publishing Next Best Celler contest hosted by Textnovel. It also won an Editor's Choice award from Textnovel in 2010.

LANCELOT'S LADY by Cherish D'Angelo

A Bahamas holiday from dying billionaire JT Lance, a man with a dark secret, leads palliative nurse Rhianna McLellan to Jonathan, a man with his own troubled past, and Rhianna finds herself drawn to the handsome recluse, while unbeknownst to her, someone with a horrific plan is hunting her down.

When palliative care nurse Rhianna McLeod is given a gift of a dream holiday to the Bahamas from her dying patient, billionaire JT Lance, Rhianna has no idea that her 'holiday' will include being stranded on a private island with Jonathan, an irritating but irresistibly handsome recluse. Or that she'll fall head over heels for the man.

Jonathan isn't happy to discover a drop-dead gorgeous redhead has invaded his island. But his anger soon turns to attraction. After one failed marriage, he has guarded his heart, but Rhianna's sudden appearance makes him yearn to throw caution to the wind.

To live fully in the present, Rhianna must resolve her own murky past, unravel the secret that haunts JT, foil the plans of a sleazy, blackmailing private investigator and help Jonathan find his muse. Only then can Rhianna find the love she's been searching for, and finally become...Lancelot's Lady.

"From the cold rocky shores of Maine to the extravagant mansions of Miami to a lush tropical island in the Bahamas, Cherish D'Angelo takes her heroine through a series of breathtaking romantic adventures that mirror the settings, often in surprisingly ironic ways. A page turner in the best possible sense." - Gail Bowen, author of the award-winning Joanne Kilbourn series.

  5. Thank you so much, DeNita, Sandy, Sarah and Jean, for the warm welcome. Today is day 3 of my mega tour and it's been exciting so far.

DeNita, Lancelot's Lady was a novel I'd started way back in 2002 when I thought maybe romance would help me break into the book world. I wrote part of it and then tucked it away as I soon realized that another more pressing story needed to be told--Whale Song. I'm glad I listened to instinct.

In 2009 a romance contest by Dorchester Publishing and Textnovel inspired me to dig out the old manuscript (which was titled Reflections at the time), and I entered the Next Best Celler contest. This is how Lancelot's Lady was born.

I do have another romantics suspense plotted. It's set in New York and it's about a woman who through one stroke of bad luck after another loses everything, only to discover there's more to life than her massive loft apartment and shoe collection. :-)

However, before I get to work on that romantic suspense, I have at least one thriller to finish.

By the way, I think I'm now close to 120 blog stops on my tour...in 14 days. The 15th day will be when I start awarding prizes...and slipping into a coma...hehehe

  9. Good luck in all my draws, elaing8, yadkny and Valerie. :-)

Valerie, my days are not always the same as it depends on whether I'm also promoting a work, but in general my writing day looks like this...

I fire up my computer, answer important emails, then get to writing. I usually have a word count goal and the number depends on what other priorities I have that day. On average my goal is around 2000 words, more if I'm writing articles or blog posts as well.

    Good luck all! :-)
