Celebrating A Hot New Romance From Teirney Medeiro

Today we're celebrating Teirney Medeiro's hot new romance AXEL'S OBSESSION.

Let's meet Teirney Medeiros:

I'm not much of an exciting person... I'm quiet, shy and usually socially backward. I'd rather read than talk on the phone, and write than watch television. I'd rather make a difference in one person's life than the world.

My heart belongs to my husband, family, friends, children and my stories, everything I am goes into my writing. I hate activity, I'd rather sit beneath the sunshine and listen to my own random thoughts than attend a college party. I'm flakey at times, and I make no promise to understand what you're saying half the time. I'm usually not listening because I've got to deal with the voices in my own head first. My husband thinks I'm smart as a whip and dumb as a doornail at the same time because I have hope someday mankind will wake up and see what they're doing to each other.I don't pretend to be sweet, innocent or kind. Sometimes I just am. I'm not always humble, and I'm not always proud.

Honestly, I'm just a person grateful for life. I love to watch the world going on around me. I think I'd rather observe than talk. If I never spoke again, it's okay, I'm a better listener anyway. I'm a living contradiction, and I love it that way.

  3. Hello everyone! I'm so glad to be here. First, let me tell you about my last minute road trip. My father told me last night we were going to see my grandmother in Ohio, which is only a few hours away, however, she does not have INTERNET!!!! So, I'm logging on at various places between his place and hers. I'll try to log on as much as possible, but I'll definitely get all your questions answered before midnight! Just bear with me, and I apologize in advance.

So, Axel's Obession is the follow up book to Ivory's Addiction and tells the story of Axel Danvers and Jolene Victor. Axel is a soldier returning to Mississippi to take care of the family property when he meets Jolene, a Romani woman employed by his recently deceased grandmother.

Jolene's family has lived with a curse her great ancestor, Kaja, placed on the children when Reed Danvers broke her heart. To bed a man is to seal her fate with death.

So, it get's interesting to say the least when the attraction between Axel and Jolene heats up!

Thanks again for having me, and I hope that I find a Starbucks or something close by! If not, then I'll certainly be online this evening to answer all your questions and chat :)

  4. Hi, Valerie! I am so glad you stopped by :)

This book took me about a month to write and then about a year to actually go back and edit before sending off to a publisher. I was actually concerned that the storyline was too different from my first book, and seriously considered scrapping it! But, I am so glad that I didn't. I loved this story from start to finish.

  7. Thanks for stopping by Regina!

Hi Wanda, thanks so much! I would say I didn't have one particular influence. I loved to read. I love to read everything and anything. So, every story I read influenced me. When I started reading romance, I realized that's what I wanted to do. I've wanted to write romance as long as I've been reading it, so that's about 15 years now. Thanks for stopping by!

  10. Hi Jane, thanks so much for stopping by! I'm working on Luke's story now. He was introduced in Ivory's Addiction and has a small part in Axel's Obsession. His story will also answer some questions that were left open-ended in Ivory's Addiction.

Estella, thank you! I'm planning at least three more, but with the way these characters talk to me, there may be even more than that :)

  15. Hi Teirney! Congrats on your new release. Your book sounds amazing.

Have you ever thought about what your book would be like if it was turned into a movie? If so, who would you cast as your main characters?

  16. Hi, Becky. Thanks for coming on over.

I haven't thought about it, but I guess it would be rated R, definitely. Maybe even NC-17, LOL. But, if I were to cast characters, I would say the lead male would be Jason Lewis and Jolene would be Sofia Vergara. They both have the look I have in mind for my characters.
