DENYING HIS WOLFEN HERITAGE - Book 2 in Missy Martine's A Wolfen Heritage Trilogy

Michael spent his adulthood taking care of his baby sister, pretty much putting his own desires on hold. Then Maddie fell in love and married, freeing Michael to have a life of his own.

He doesn't think things can get any better. He's a single, successful architect with his own firm, living and playing in downtown Houston. What more could he want out of life?

Just when he believes everything is perfect, Maddie shatters his illusions by revealing their family's furry secret. Now his sister is growling and running around on four legs while trying to convince him he has an inner wolf of his own. And if that's not bad enough, he's falling in love with a woman who occasionally has more hair on her legs than he does.

So, what's Michael's response to all the changes in his life? He denies everything!

  1. Super congrats on the new release Missy - Loved the excerpts and can't wait to read it!

Tell us a little bit about this trilogy and how the books fit together and if they should be read in order.

Hope the new book is a huge seller for you!

  4. First, a big thank you to Author Island for hosting my Cyber Release Party. It's a big, exciting day for me. A few health problems made this sequel a little "long" in coming so I'm doubly excited to finally have it available to the readers.

The trilogy is based on 2 separate families, one of which was never told about their heritage. The books are about their relationships, love interests, and their fight against a mutual, deadly enemy. Each of the books could be read alone, but the best experience is if you read them in order. I'm not just pulling your leg to get more sales but each separate story has little nuances that bring extra life to the over-all intrigue. You'll miss a lot of fun if you miss a book!

Again, Thanks so much for the opportunity to let people know about my new release.

  8. Congrats! What do you find so appealing about wolf shifters? Is it the mystery and legend surrounding the real animal? The strength and loyalty of a wolf? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Do you ever suffer from writer's block, if so what do you do to overcome it??

  11. Hi Julia - Thanks for the congrats. My hobby, outside of writing, is taking photographs of wild animals and the wolf has always fascinated me. They're strong, fierce, loyal creatures and that just seems so virile, and alpha like to me. Plus, the idea of some handsome, sexy man able to shift into a wild animal just does wonders for my libido. There was never any question that my hero would be wolf, at least in this book. I've got books coming out next year that branch out into other animal were!

    Thanks for stopping by,

  12. Hi Valerie, Thanks for the congrats! Be sure and drink some of that cyber bubbly for me - they won't let me have it anymore. Had gastric surgery last year and I'm not allowed alcohol or carbonation so it's a double no-no. The good news is I lose 145 lbs so far and still losing :)

Every writer gets writer's block periodically. At first I used to just walk away and do something else for a few days, maybe even talk my husband into a weekend get-away. I still do that occasionally, but now I have another approach. I work on 2 books at the same time, two that aren't related to each other or in the same series. That way if I get bogged down on one, I can always go to the other story with fresh ideas.

    Thanks for stopping by today!

  17. Hi Gabrielle, Thanks for the congrats! I'm really glad you liked the first book. As for inspiration for the story, most of it came from my very active imagination. But to develope a character like Maddie, who overcame medical and social obstacles, I sort of looked inside myself. Obviously I'm not a werewolf, but I overcame quite a few medical obstacles to become a writer. I wanted people to see Maddie as a survivor, and winner in her life.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  52. Hi Missy,
First congrats on the latest release in this Wolf Heritage series, secondly know that this series is on my TBR mountain series list and finally my questions. How long do you expect this series to last? Is your writing style that of a plotter, or character driven in that they tell you what to write?
