Celebrating A Brand New Release For Erin Nicholas

Today, on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we are celebrating the release of a sexy new romance from Erin Nicholas  and Samhain Press.

EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT by Erin Nicholas

A girl, a guy, a set of handcuff... What more could happily ever after possibly need?

Anything and Everything, Book 2

Luke Hamilton's requirements for the perfect woman are straightforward: live, work and play in his beloved hometown-and get along with his mother. Dr. Kat Dayton's got it all. And Luke's noticed. It's obvious to him that his long-time friend belongs with him, especially after the world-rocking kiss she lays on him at his birthday party.

While Kat can't deny she's imagined a kiss like that - and more - for years, she's less convinced they're destined for happily ever after. Still, Luke figures that's nothing a friendly kidnapping and a three-day road trip won't fix.

Kat would love to let Luke in, but if he discovers the truth - that committee meetings bore her to tears and she'd rather have a root-canal than go to another potluck - his white-picket-fence dreams will be crushed.

Being stuck in an RV with Luke should be three days of flirtatious fun, but for Kat it's heavenly hell. The close confines and good old-fashioned lust are making a mockery of her perfect-woman facade, and if he finds out about the mistake that might cost her job - and force her to leave town for good - it'll take more than a sexy pair of handcuffs to keep him close.

Warning: Contains a man who's willing to do anything for the perfect woman, an RV and surprise road-trip to help him prove it, and a woman who's wondering just what the hell she's gotten into.

Erin has been reading romance since her mom first let her into her book cupboard when Erin was about fourteen. LaVyrle Spencer, Julie Garwood, Debbie Macomber... they took Erin's 'happily ever after' ideas from animated princesses to real people in the real world.

She's been writing romance almost as long. Many a family car trip was spent with her head bent over a spiral notebook in the back seat. She'll confess that her very first attempts at fiction were fantasy and paranormals, influenced by her father's love of the Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the original Alice in Wonderland. If Harry Potter had been around, Erin's sure he would have been on the bedtime story shelf as well.

But it wasn't long until Erin started writing about true love and that's where she's been ever since.

She's so thrilled to be able to share these stories with you and hopes that they make you smile, sigh, maybe even choke up a little. Most of all, She hopes that they help you believe in magical things like first kisses, the spark of passion, and the power of true love.

  2. Hi Erin, Do you come up with the premise first then add people, places etc. or do the people come first?

    1. Hi, Donna!

The people almost always come first for me. Then I have to figure what means things to do to them!
But at least I given them a happily ever after eventually! Lol

      Thanks for stopping by! Erin

  3. Hi, DeNita! Thanks for the congrats! I'm really happy to have Everything You've Got out!

These two books are going to be it for this series :) (is it a series if there are only two books? ) Everything You've Got came from Anything You Want a little unintentionally :) but Kat and Luke really needed a story. Luke was the third guy in a sort-of love triangle in Anything You Want and I just had to give him a happily ever after too-- especially after I met Kat and realized she was crazy about, and perfect for, Luke.

And yes! Two more Bradford books! We're even kicking off the two new ones with a free short story that is a bit of an epilogue for the first three! I'm excited-- it's time for the two friends (Dooley and Kevin) to have their books!

  4. Hello Erin!
Where do you come up with the names of the characters? Are they based on names of friends or do you maybe use a Baby Book of Names? Also, do you come up with the titles of the books themselves or is does the publisher do that?

    Congratulations on the new release!

    1. Hi, Stacie!
Names... ah, good question. Lots of places. Honestly, usually they just come to me. But yes, I've definitely been known to hit the online baby names sites :) Last names are hardest for me-- I do go online for those often. Names have to fit the character's personlity in my mind. And have to work for me as I'm creating this person. The name David means something to me. Ned gives me a definite first impression. Joe gives me a mental picture... it's an interesting process! And I can *not* start writing with an un-named character! It's one of my quirks :)

As for titles... so far I've come up with all of my titles. We haven't had an disagreements or conflicts yet! :) That's another thing I struggle with-- writing much before it's titled. I have changed titles part-way through a book, but I can't just call it "Work In Progress" or "the book"... have to call it something "real" LOL

    1. Hi Shadow! Thanks!!
Well, this summer and fall I have two books coming out (two more books in the Bradfords series!) and I have two more scheduled for next year so far. One of them I can't say much about yet ;) but the other I can tell you is the start to a new four book series! I'm excited about all of them! So, after I get some loose ends tied up with the upcoming releases, I'll be starting book two of that new series. I'm excited about it-- meaning I'm already writing scenes and ideas down (which makes it hard to focus on the other stuff I have to do first! *G*)

  6. Congrats on the new release. Are you going to write any paranormal books? Can't wait to read this book. A blindfold, handcuffs, and a hot guy. What more do you need.

    1. Hi, Joanne!
I don't know about paranormal :) Fantasy maybe-- wizards are fun! But all my upcoming story ideas are contemporary. I did grow up reading paranormals and fantasy though... so you never know! ;)

  7. Congrats on the new release. You are a new to me author and would love to win and read your books.
My questions for you are: Do you prefer to write stand-alone or series? And what is your favorite genre to write?
    Thanks for the giveaway.

    1. Thanks for stopping Chris! I like writing both-- it depends on what the story needs-- can everything and everyone be wrapped up in one book? But I do love to write secondary characters and it seems that I always get attached enough that I want them to all have HEA too! :)

  8. Hello Erin,

    Congrats on the new release!

I see you are continuing with the Bradfords series. I have to tell you that I LOVE this series! Therefore, what can I expect for Just For Fun (The Bradfords, Book 4)?

    1. Thanks, Nina! I'm glad readers have so embraced the Bradfords and all their friends! :) Just For Fun, BOok 4, is Dooley's story (it's a nickname, for those of you who haven't read :)). He's a pretty laid-back, un-PC kind of guy... which made him fun to write! Especially when he met his match, Morgan. Morgan is the opposite of the type of woman Dooley usually goes for-- and vice versa! They have a great time (lots of FUN ;) ) along the way!

  9. I really like your writing style. I was wondering if you have ever read something written by another author and then your mind sorts out how you would have done it differently? When I read excerpts, I always end up trying to figure out what happens next. I am almost always wrong! jepebATverizonDOTnet

  10. Hi, Jen! Thank you for the nice words :) And that happens all the time-- with movies and tv too! Not that my ideas make it better, but I do like to play with endings! :)
    Thanks for stopping by!
