Good morning LuAnn and super congrats on the new release and congrats on Target stores stocking it! I saw on your twitter account that you hit a few stores to sign the book - that had to be a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteFor those not familiar with your Cricket Creek Series, can you tell us all about it and how the stories connect?
I love the humor you put in your stories, is CATCH OF A LIFETIME a romantic comedy, or is it more of a serious contemporary romance?
It's so great to have you with us today and congrats on your recent wedding and good luck with the move to Florida - since I'm looking out at a yard covered with the white stuff, I'm a bit jealous...lol
Here's to CATCH OF A LIFETIME being a monster bestseller for you and hope you enjoy your party!
Congrats on your new release! I love romantic comedy so this is my kind of read. Would love to year your book. Do you ever base books on things that happen in real life?

Hi DeNita, I'm so excited that this book is out. Jessica and Ty are favorites of mine since they are an older couple getting a second chance at hapiness.
ReplyDeleteCricket Creek is a combination of some favorite small towns in Kentucky. I love boating and the Ohio River so I knew I would write about a quaint river town. And I am huge fan of southern diner food so I had to have a diner! Of course I've written about baseball before with Hot Summer Nights because I really love the boys of summer... so this town has all of my favorite things!
ReplyDeleteHI Virginia,
ReplyDeleteI think all of my heroines have a little bit of me in them and yes I do base some of my scenes on things that happen in real life... especially funny things. I love small town characters and diners are a favorite of mine (it was fun research!)
Hi LuAnn,
ReplyDeletecongrats on the new release. I love romance books, and comedy even better. You are a new author for me and always looking for new books and authors to check out. Thanks for the chance to win.
My questions for you are: Any favorite books? Favorite authors to recommend? And if you could write any genre, what would you write? Would you stick with romance?
Congrats and thanks for the chance to win.

Congratulations LuAnn. I grew up along the Ohio River in Ky. I am always looking for new authors and when I found tweets about you today I came to your page to check you out. Loved the fact that you worked with Wynonna Judd on Restless Heart. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Anticipating reading your back list with a smile. Do you have plans on any more works with Wynonna?

Many congrats LuAnn for your books being at Target! I always make a bee-line to the book section when I go to Target. I don't have a bookstore near me so finding books at Target or a grocery store is always a treat.

I am a Southern girl, so I enjoy reading books that have a dose of Southern humor! I especially love the humorous and eye-catching book titles that you have. My favorite is "Dancing Shoes and Honky Tonk Blues."

Hey, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see that this story is the next in your Cricket Creek series. You know I totally agree with you that there is a need for older heroines/heroes in contemporary romance. I can't wait to receive my copy of your latest...waiting on the mail. Congrats!

Congrats on your release. I was wondering if you have a special thing you have to do when you write.

Congrats on the new release!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you love most about the BIG BLUE NATION?
csdsksds[at]gmail[dot]com
LuAnn, I do not know if anything can top the cooking scene in A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action. That is my all time favorite over the top hysterical book moment. I do not remember how many times I had to stop reading as I was laughing so hard tears were rolling down my cheeks.
ReplyDeleteI love that you were able to create a story with older main characters. The older I get the more I appreciate older heroines in my romances. I look forward to reading this story and wish you lots of new readers through the availability of this book at Target.
Oh Jennifer I loved writing that scene! Nothing has come close excpet for the bathtub scene in He's No Prince Charming. Yes, I went to Target today and took a picture of it on the shelf!
ReplyDeleteChris, I grew up reading historical romance with classics like The Wolf and the Dove but I've always loved romantic comedy. I started out getting published in erotic romance with Kensington Brava but found a great fit with NAL/Signet Eclipse. If I could write anything else it would be middle grade books for kids. I think this age bracket gets lost in the shuffle and we lose future readers.
ReplyDeleteTeresa I was thrille to work with Wynonna. I was so nervous but she is so down to earth and put me at ease and had me laughing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteDo you find that where you live plays a big part in what & how you write? Especially as regards your characters.

I cannot wait to read this book. I so love books that take place in small towns.. I think it is because I grew up in such a large city..
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the book...and your new hubby...
