STARK NAKED by Desiree Holt
Reenie Davenport learned the hard way that men are cheating, promotion-thieving poison. A month after making a fresh start in Texas, she looks forward to taking a breather at her old college friend Amy's family ranch. Instead, she's left breathless when Amy's very drunk, very sexy, very naked brother lands at her feet. Even as she hardens her heart, a small part of her wishes that quickly tossed towel would shift...just a little.
When Matt Stark shows up at Reenie's door to apologize, he can barely squeeze a word past her emotional barriers. Suddenly nothing else matters except convincing her not all men are clones of her ex. Sweet-talking her into lunch is only the beginning.
One touch, and boom! Much to Reenie's dismay, lunch ends in a hot, flaming dessert - in her bed. Shutting Matt out isn't as easy as simply blowing out a match. Especially since this cowboy is equally determined to unlock her heart.
Product Warnings: Contains graphic and explicit, hot nekkid cowboy lovin'.
ERECTED by Desiree Holt
Who can resist a pint-sized female with luscious curves stranded in a parking lot? Not Josh McMann. It's his pleasure to save Ness Bowen, especially given the instant sensual chemistry that explodes between them. When she wrecks her car on the way to meet him for dinner, he saves her once again. And dinner at home takes on a whole new meaning as the sexual pull becomes too strong for either to ignore. The more they see each other, the more intense and erotic the sex becomes.
But Ness sees Josh as a player, and she's been dumped by men like him who were always looking for the next conquest. Josh has his own trust issues, having been burned by women interested only in his money and power.
When a breakfast date goes awry and Ness thinks she's been dumped once again, it takes a lot of fancy maneuvering from Josh to make amends.

Desiree has lived a life of excitement that brings the color to her writing. She was a summer fishing guide, a summer field hand where she was one of only three women working, a member of a beginning ski team that skied in competition (and no, no broken bones!). She spent several years in the music business representing every kind of artist from country singer to heavy metal rock bands. For several years she also ran her own public relations agency handling any client that interested her.
She is twice a finalist for an EPIC E-Book Award, a nominee for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award, winner of the first 5 Heart Sweetheart of the Year Award at The Romance Studio, and is published by four different houses. Romance Junkies said of her work: "Desiree Holt is the most amazing erotica author of our time and each story is more fulfilling then the last."

Yes - I do believe she is a writing machine!!! I'm sure she doesn't sleep at all!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new releases Desiree and Wow! They both sound fantastic!
Tell us about your new Erector Set Series with EC - will it be a multi-author series, or just your books? And how many books do you plan for it and how will they connect? I also have to know (if you can tell us without spoiling anything) why Erector Set? Can't wait to find out how that fits in!
And another sexy Cowboy - sounds like a great story, and I'd love to see it as a movie! Who would you like to see as your hero and heroine?
Enjoy your cyber launch party and I hope both your new releases blaze up the charts and become your best sellers yet!
Have fun!
Stark Naked sounds fantastic, I can't wait to read it. Is it going to be part of a series?

What a great way to start off the year, Desiree. You have such an amazing back list. Which of your characters is most like you?
ReplyDeletecaity_mack at yahoo dot com
So sorry. Just sliding into my desk chair. Between the satellite guy, the carpenter and the plumber it's been a hectic day.
ReplyDeleteOkay, answers to questions:
I have so many authors I like it's hard to pick even one. But my favorite genre to read is romantic suspense and romantic thrillers. ESpecially if they're hot!
Okay, 5 people for dinner:
Sam Elliott, the actor. I'm in love with him.
Jackie Joyride, the inspiration for my book JOY RIDE.
Beverly Barton, in my opinion the very best romantic suspense writer
Chris O'Donnell,
Barbara Cartland (the romance queen)
Okay, favorite scene in STARK NAKED: the scene in Chapter One where a drunken Matt wanders into the living room, naked, where is sister and Reenie, the heroine are sitting and dhow they get him back to his bedroom.
ReplyDeleteIn Erected, the scene in the parking lot between Ness and Josh. because it actually hastened to me!
STARK NAKED win't be part of a series but I am writing a sequel. It will be Amy's story.
ReplyDeleteThis is for both Donna and Anne:
ReplyDeleteYup, I do write all over the place, but that's how I like to read. My preferences go in spurts for reading and a lot of it is author fixation! LOL! For my own books, it's whatever story comes to me. Usually my characters come to me first and the story develops from there. But then I once wrote a book that started with use one line.
CAthy, I think of the two books the character most like me is Ness from Erected.
ReplyDeleteBTW, this is Book One of a 30book series. The McCann brothers, who own a full service development company, are smart, hot and desirable. Hammered will be Alex's story (he's the architect) and Nailed will be Tyler's story. He's the contraction engineer who oversees al the projects.
Hello Desiree! Both stories sound lovely. I like that both heroines are doing their best to protect their bruised hearts. I like to see the hero break through the walls and convince the heroine to take a chance on them. Congrats on the new releases!

ReplyDeleteFavorite cover-not really. I have great cover artists and they give me fabulous covers.
Debby, I write in all my favorite genres and all mu publishers are very good about letting me move from genre to genre. Bit I write in the genres I read. So, no, there isn't one I'm still pining for. I'm very fortunate.
