Celebrating A Hot New M/M Romance From Jane Leopold Quinn

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog we're celebrating Jane Leopold Quinn's brand new m/m romance with Siren Publishing.

This title is offered at a 10% discount. Offer ends midnight CST, February 2nd.

I'LL BE YOUR LAST by Jane Leopold Quinn

Life dealt Mack Penchant a raw deal. He's hidden his sexuality, the secret he's carried since he was a teen, through the Marine Corps, and now as an undercover cop. The only relationship he believes possible for himself is the furry kind, with his dog Kiki. One young cop, though, drives him to a frenzy, and he fights his passions and needs every step of the way.

Woody Kane's gaydar spots Mack the moment they meet. And even though Mack rejects him, Woody lusts after the perfect masculine body and wants him in his bed. Woody believes in commitment. Mack makes it clear he does not. Can Woody prove to Mack that he's worthy of love? After all, he adopted a rescue dog. Isn't that a start?

What peril will it take for Mack to accept Woody's love and join him in a committed relationship?

Hi, I’m Jane Leopold Quinn and I'm one of the lucky ones - a published author. My debut novel, ANCIENT TIES, received 4-½ Stars and Top Pick from Romantic Times and was nominated for Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Erotic Romance of 2006.

It is my honor and pleasure to write romance. My tag line reads: My Romance: Love with a Scorching Sensuality. I love to wring every ounce of passion out of my characters and bring them together for their well-deserved Happily Ever After.

I understand about HEA. I met and married my husband a bit later in life, so I know it can happen in real life. We live in Chicago, and my writing space overlooks the park and lakefront. My message to you is take that chance to do what you want in life, and more importantly, take the chance to fall in love. Please check out my website to read about my other wonderful stories.

  1. Happy Release Day Jane!!!

Congrats on the release of your new book I'LL BE YOUR LAST. Tell us all about it and since you're new here at the Island, please tell us about you and what other books you have available.

  2. Thank you to Author Island for having me today. I'm really excited about this release. I'm an author of erotic romance - time travel, historical, contemporary, fairy tale, but this is my first M/M. This particular genre isn't for everyone, but I write love stories and every person deserves to find love.

I'm published by Loose Id, Siren, The Wild Rose Press, and Phaze. I also have 2 short stories self-pubbed at Smashwords. They're all listed with covers, blurbs, and buy links on my website - http://www.janeleopoldquinn.com. On my site, I also have a page called Hot Flashes with some pretty hot flash fiction.

I also love creating miniature rooms and houses. I recently found in a miniature catalogue a set of mini doilies some of which look like ones my Swedish great grandmothers crocheted decades ago. I have them framed on navy blue velvet above the bed. They look like snowflakes.

I'm really pleased by the pre-order sales of "I'll Be Your Last" this week. I hope to be able to chat with readers here today. Thanks so much for having me.

  5. Happy Release Day, Jane - I have to admit that I was surprised to find that I like reading M/M romance. What made you decide to try your hand at writing M/M, especially if you're happily married? Again, congratulations!

  7. Hi Anonymous,

I love reading a really romantic M/M and was surprised that I liked it so much myself. I support same sex marriage and partnerships and am proud that my husband does too. I think that although the love scenes are different in some ways from M/F, they're also the same. Love is love.

The story came to me with two men - two Chicago cops. I considered changing one of them to female, but neither guy would let me. ;-) So, the M/M was born.

  8. Hello Jane! Congrats on the new release! I adore m/m romances. I think Mack and Woody's story sounds lovely. My heart already goes out to Mack for having to hide who he really is from his family and friends. I can't wait to see how Woody helps him find what he needs.

  9. Thanks, StacieD. Mack certainly never expected to fall in love after hiding his sexuality for years. And Woody wants to fall in love. I felt their love growing. I hope I got it onto the page/screen.

  10. Congrats on the release of your new book. Do you find writing m/m to be more of a challenge than m/f?

    1_trouble AT msn DOT com

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi Donna, writing M/M is definitely a challenge since I personally know nothing about it. That's why I rely on my "it's a love affair" theory. Plus, sitting here at the computer writing stories is about the best job in the world. Add writing love scenes, and it's just too good to be true sometimes. ;-)

    Thanks for commenting.

  12. Congratulations, Jane! This is your first m/m romance. Do you plan on writing more in the future or is this a one-time experiment for you? I certainly hope you write more in this vein. :D

  13. Hi Ashley, my main focus is M/F, but I'd like to write more M/M. There is a secondary character in I'll Be Your Last who may need his own story. He's way in the closet. I have to find someone to bring him out. Thank you so much for your comment!

  14. Happy Release Day, Jane!

    Dear readers,
    Buy This Book.
Jane's such a visual writer, I walk away with her scenes in my head, replaying them for the texture and emotion. You'll love her story-telling.

    Wishing you crazy-great sales, Jane.

  16. Congrats on the new release. It sounds really good.

Now that you've tried m/m will you venture into f/f?

  17. Hi "elaing8," thanks for the congrats. And as a matter of fact, I have an f/f free read at Whipped Cream Reviews. Here's the link. http://whippedcream2archives.blogspot.com/2010/04/education-of-eris-by-jane-leopold-quinn.html?zx=5c1eeda620ff8832

I hope you enjoy reading it. ;-)

  18. I always love finding new to me authors. I see that you typically write M/F romance. I laughed when you said that neither Mack nor Woody were willing to become female. :) Did you consider scaring the daylights out of them and making one of them a cross dresser? Sorry, it just seemed like the natural next step!

  19. Oh, Jen B., you are too funny.
;-) Seriously, a cross-dressing Chicago undercover cop? Mack has a tiny, furry dog that Woody says looks like his sister's bedroom slipper. That's as close to feminine these guys got.

    Thanks for commenting, Jen.

  21. Sounds like a great book. Did your research lead you to anything unexpected?
    Debby236 at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi Debby, thanks for your question. I'm not sure anything was unexpected, but it was a learning experience to put myself into the mind of two men and how they relate to each other.

And I've written cops before and have discovered that I love the look of all the equipment they carry. I lust after those guns.

  23. And elaing8, I hope you like the f/f. It's intended to become its own story in a contemporary series I'm writing.

  24. I'm a really early riser which makes for a pretty early bedtime. I've enjoyed today at Author Island so much, but my eyes are closing. I'll check back in the morning to see if there are any more comments and everyone will be in the running for the prize which is a free pdf of I'll Be Your Last. If you already bought it, thank you, and if you did, I'll give you a choice of another one of my books.

Thanks to all for coming today.
