Celebrating A New Sci Fi Release For Sara Brookes

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of PERFECT LIMIT, a new erotic sci fi release in Sara Brookes' new Sypricon Masters Series.

Sara Brookes is a multi-published author who has always been fascinated by the strange, the unusual, the twisted and the lost (tortured heroes are her personal favorite). She is an action movie junkie, addicted to coffee and has been known to stay up until the wee hours of the morning playing RPG video games. Despite all this, she is a romantic at heart and is always a sucker for an excellent love story. Born and bred in Virginia, Sara still lives there with her husband and daughter. The entire family is owned by two cats, Galahad and Loki, who graciously allow the family to cater to their every desire.

PERFECT LIMIT by Sara Brookes

A Sypricon Masters Book

Deputy Brigade Manager Rayna Donaghy is convinced she's imperfect. Abandoned and left for dead, Rayna now lives on Sypricon, a frontier planet known for its scarred surface. After a fatal blaze at one of the planet's quarries, Rayna seeks an escape at the landmark BDSM club, Tawse.

Burke, a Dom at the club, is captivated with the woman who has been under his command for the past several months. However, he's finally had enough of her self-loathing and is determined to help Rayna overcome her fears. In the center of the action, Burke lays her bare for all to see in order to show her being perfect is simply a matter of perception.

  1. Happy Release Day Sara!!!

I'm really excited about your Sypricon Masters Series - for those who might be familiar with it, can you tell us a bit about it and how the books fit together? And what are your plans for the number of books in it?

Read the excerpt and can't wait to read the rest!

Enjoy your special release day launch party and I hope the new book is a huge bestseller for you!

  2. Thank you!

Perfect Limit is the second book in the Sypricon Masters seriesn but really, the books can be read in any order. The only thing that links them together is the fact they all take place at Tawse, a BDSM club on a faraway planet.

Perfect Limit is about acceptance. That no matter what you are like phyically, you're still worthy of love & affection. That people can love you for whp you are on the inside and the rest doesn't matter. Rayna, the heroine, has scars that prevent her from truly believing in herself. She feels as if she doesn't deserve what everyone else has. Burke, the hero, has been Rayna's Dom for a while, and he decides to show her just how wrong she is.

Right now this series is open ended. There are two more books come by year's end--No Restraint (a popular hot shot racer & the Dom who doesn't care about her fame) and Slow Break (a submissive comes back to the club seeking the Dom he walked out on--it will mark the first male/male entry in the series!)

Looking forward to talking to you guys!

  4. Congrats on the new release.

You said the Sypricon Masters series is open ended & can be read in any order because they are mearly set in the same BDSM club. Are there any common characters from the club that might develope into stars in their own books somewhere down the line?

  5. Congrats on the new release.
It sounds great and I want to read it NOW! Do you ever want to swap places with your heroines in these books? *thinks it might be fun once in a while to do that*

  6. Thanks for stopping by Bookwyrm, Kathryn and ilona.

Bookwyrm, I'm currently working on another book that falls in line with a book that I released last year, Hardware. It's a contemporary erotic romance w/ BDSM themes. For fun, I like to read just about anything that catches my interest. It it's a good story, with intriguing characters, I'll read it!

Kathryn, there are a few characters are that in each of the stories, but play a supporting role. Bales, the bartender and Miranda, the owner of the club. I will say a character mentioned briefly in the beginning of Perfect Limit gets his own story in Slow Break, which will be out shortly.

ilona, it certainly sounds like it would be interesting to switch places, wouldn't it? LOL

  8. Ooh, sounds good, Sara! This series sounds like a good one! And we have more to look forward to this year?! Even better--long waits in between books is sometimes way too hard to bear ;)

Are you working on other stories simultaneously? Or do you write only one at a time?

  9. Yummy! Space BDSM! Since one of the upcoming books is m/m, which was easier to write? M/F or M/M? Which is more fun?

  10. Great idea for a series. I love the everyone is worthy of love theme. And sounds like the BDSM theme works well with that concept.

How does the setting play into the books? I'd love to know why you picked it.

I'm going straight over to read the excerpt!

  12. Thanks for swinging by Jen B., fichen1, June, Kate and Debbie.

LOL Jen B. I love your reaction.

Yes, fichen1, I worked on several books at a time so I have a few at various stages. It helps if I get stuck on one story, I can take a break from it and work with something else.

LOL, another one for space BDSM. Love. It. June. Actually m/f and m/m are about the same as far of which is easier. I've written 3 m/m stories and they were just as much fun to write as any of my m/f stories. Though I will admit, m/m is just a teensy bit more fun to write. *g*

In Perfect Limit, Kate, the heroine is a firefighter on Sypricon, so there's some talk in the beginning that stands as some world building. The reader gets to learn about some things outside of the club. But mostly the books focus on what happens inside the club.

Oh good question, Debbie! There are so many to choose from. But probably my favorite tortured hero is Han Solo. Handsome, roguish, never really sure what side he's on...sure he's w/ the Rebellion, but he's a space pirate!
