Celebrating A New Release And New Series For Cheryl Dragon

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of CHRISTMAS IN DREAMLAND a new book for Cheryl Dragon and book one in her brand new 7th Kind Series with Resplendence Publishing!

A lover of unusual things, Cheryl Dragon enjoys writing unique stories with sinfully hot erotic romance or suspenseful mainstream paranormals. Never at a loss for ideas, there are plenty of stories in her brain waiting to be written. Her two favorites book settings are Las Vegas and New Orleans...where anything can happen!

Cheryl lives in the Chicagoland area with her deaf albino cat. By day she crunches & analyzes numbers as an Assistant Controller for a division of a large international conglomerate which leaves the creative juices free for her erotic romance and paranormal suspense novels.

CHRISTMAS IN DREAMLAND by Cheryl Dragon

7th Kind Series, Book One

Dr. Meg Lyle is a classic geek working on a top secret project deep within a military research base. Being stuck on a project over the holidays sucks, but when three hot members of security make her dreams come true, she knows there’s more to their story than they’re revealing.

Are these sexy military studs men in black or aliens?

The truth may throw her ordered life into disarray, but either way, Meg’s sex life is now out of the world!

  7. Congratulations!!

I love Christmas stories. My question: do you make a point of writing a "Christmas" story or does it just happen? Sparked from an idea.

  8. Is this entire series based on the characters we meet in book one or do we get introduced to a new set of lead characters with each book?
Either way, I'm looking forward to reading this series.

  11. First impressions of the cover??

The herione in the book is more of a geek type. she has glasses. they got the ponytail and the lab coat right:) but she's not so well endowed....

but you always see the one thing that's not perfect. I love the themes and the hot guys!

  12. about the series???

Dreamland is a nickname for an area in the nevada desert:) and yes, more books will be in there. it's a five book series.

all are menage + stories. and I get to dabble with the alien issue with some smart and spunky women and very hot men!!

i don't want to give away the good parts....

  13. My cat does just fine being deaf. she's very vocal and fearless. but she's indoor and i don't have other pets.

i have cats in books occassionally but i don't write any books just about cats.

in my spare time i read, write, and give in to my TV addiction!!

    Dragon is a pen name:)

    thanks for the questions!

  14. sci fi stuff.. I loved the X Files and ST TNG:) Buffy, Angel, Supernatural.....

    so yeah, i like it;)

  15. series/ characters.

every book will have a new group of characters falling in love and fighting the good fight.

but characters from book one will be secondaries in book 2 etc:)

  16. the christmas theme.

well, i like writing a holiday story so i stay open for the right idea.

but i also wanted to write a series of menage + with the right premise. where 3 or 4 men + one woman is normal. aliens helps. even Dreamland has more men than women...

and when i got the idea of being stuck at work over Christmas in a place where you're really stuck and cut off....like Dreamland, it all fell together. it's the perfect springboard for the series to have things quiet and yet work has to continue and problems happen.

so it's not your average christmas story...but that's what made it the perfect idea to write. i couldn't resist!!

  17. Didn't know about your new series, Cheryl! How on earth do you manage to keep all your different series straight? (Not that I mind--I'm a greedy reader, and I love that you have so much available!) Looking forward to picking this one up--so many elements I enjoy--scifi, hot guys, a little bit of mystery...

Is there anything you enjoy doing to recharge?

  18. Lol, I snuck this series in. It started as just the one book and ballooned:)

i do need to break from writing, everyone once in a while. So i might space some books out to give myself a break now and then.

have some TV time and go to movies with friends. Glee is starting next week so Tuesday will be all about enjoying TV. it's very recharging when someone else tells the story to you!!

    hope you like the story!

  19. LOL! I'm sure I'm going to love it, Cheryl! And good for you--taking some time to enjoy other people's stories can be very relaxing, I'm sure ;) And yay for Glee! :)

  20. I love a man in the military. What is your experience with the military?

  21. I don't have any personal military experience. I have friends whose husbands are military and work with former military men. The fun here is they are in a top secret capacity so they have the experience but are on a very unusual mission:)

  22. Looking forward to digging into the new series.

I've heard writers say that there is a little bit of them in their heroines. Which of your heroines do you think is most like you?

  23. hmmmm. most like me?? well Penny in Pushing Penny is more my size (bbw) but i don't like being told what to do:)

Meg here in Christmas in dreamland is more like my personality. i get wrapped up in my work and i don't really get too worried about other things. she wears funky floral print dresses. i'm more jeans and T-shirts but its low maintenance. work is our main passion and the right man has to step up and say HEY, I'm here!!

so those are the two main ones. but it's all a mix. In joining the party, I gave Cassie my nosiness...peeping on the neighbors.

so it's a little something or a big something. but Meg got 3 hot men out of it...writers are nicer to their characters sometimes!

  24. Congrats on the new book and the new series. I have to say that until is started reading erotic romances/erotica I did not think I liked Sci-Fi. Now I definitely do. Do your aliens look like humans or will there be some noticable differences?

  25. i love the cover, it's gorgeous and the excerpt was wonderful. i can hardly wait to read the rest of the book and see what happens next.
