WILD THUNDER by Kacey Hammell
Short story for "The Edge" Line with Decadent Publishing
Connected to the In the Arms of the Law Series (short story features Ethan James)
On leave of absence from the police force and desperate to resolve the intense anger inside him, Ethan James escapes to the Shenandoah Mountains...alone.
During one of the worst storms to hit the area in years, he's surprised when he opens the door to find Shanay Gold, an old friend, and sometime submissive lover, dripping wet and looking sexy as hell. So sexy, he has to keep reminding himself he's kept her at arms-length because of the future she wants. A future he can't give her.
When lightning sparks an old flame, desires blaze to life, and Shanay and Ethan are left with little choice but to roll with passion's Wild Thunder.

The writer: Kacey Hammell is a multi-published author who was encouraged to write by her beloved husband and quickly found herself writing fast and furiously. Not that she'll ever tell him those three dreadful words that he longs to hear..."You were right."
Kacey is a true romantic at heart. Nothing is better for her than two fated mates coming together to find their happily-ever-after. With a love of contemporary settings, modern day romances and the happily ever after, as well as the excitement of suspense, Kacey creates stories in genres she's familiar with and that she loves most. She also loves vampires who nibble the necks of the heroines, ghosts who can't leave a loved one, shape-shifters who are sexier than hell and the thought of her very own werewolf or were-cat to tame makes her tremble! Locked in her office, at her computer, she lets her lusty and exciting characters lead her through their trials and tribulations, love and their adventures. Detectives, P.I.'s, musicians, club owners, sassy and headstrong women all come to life in her heart and on paper.
The Wife and Mom: Born, raised and still living in her hometown in Ontario, Canada, Kacey found true love with her husband. As a Mom of three, Kacey has made certain that each of her children know the value of the written word and the adventures they could escape on by becoming book-a-holics in their own right.
Some of Kacey's favourite authors include: Suzanne Brockmann, JD Robb, Jaci Burton, Sara Brookes, Patricia A. Rasey, Sandra Brown, Rosalie Stanton, Jasmine Haynes, Maya Banks, Terri Schaefer, Lauren Dane, John Grisham, Cherry Adair ... to name a few.

Hi Vanessa,
DeleteMy fave genres are contemporary and romantic suspense (erotic & non-erotic).
Thank you for stopping by today!
Thanks for having me today!!
ReplyDeleteThe In the Arms of the Law series is a Contemporary Erotic Romance/Romantic Suspense that revolves around many friends/family.
ReplyDeleteWILD THUNDER is tied to the series because it features, Ethan, who we met in book 1 & 2. He is the Police Office who is Alicia's (in book 2) partner.
The Edge line features erotica stories that push the envelope so to speak, push the edge of boundaries for the characters (and sometimes authors too!!). They are short stories ranging from 5000 to 7000 words.
Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Hi there, sorry I'm late to the party but just couldn't get any "fun" time on the computer yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI love the Edge line and have added this one to my wish list. Do you prefer to write shorts or full length stories?
You know, Katie, until I wrote the 2 Edge stories that I have, I would have said full length. But writing these 2 really rejuvenating me after working on longer stories. Gave me the break of research and longer edits, etc., and allowed me to really have some fun with a fast, uber sexy story. I used to think that it would be very difficult to really get the plot/character development into a short story but it seemed to go smoothly for me with the 2 short stories. Thankfully!! And I do plan to try and write at least a short story in between all longer pieces. Even if I offer them free or submit them to publishers, just something lighter, more fun...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the awesome question and stopping by!!
Congrats on the book! What are your plans this weekend?
