TAKEN: TALES OF CYMLLON SERIES by Marion Webb-DeSisto
A blind date with a guy dressed as an angel is what Esther Nolan's friends give as her thirtieth birthday present. Reluctant to accept, she nevertheless goes to dinner with the pseudo angel, named Zortek, and he's rude, chauvinistic and very odd. The following night he suddenly appears in Esther’s apartment and takes her captive to the magical world of Cymllon. There she learns he's a demgel, someone who is half demon, half angel. Rescued by another demgel, named Dreydon, she spends time with him in his home. Esther quickly develops feelings of attraction toward Dreydon, but tries to ignore them because he isn't human.
Rescuing Esther is a very unusual act for Dreydon. He doesn't normally
concern himself with what other demgels are doing. Yet he feels drawn to her.
Having her company fills the loneliness in his life. Dreydon discovers and
shares with Esther a truth about herself that she finds impossible to believe.
He also realizes she is his mate.
Will Zortek want revenge because Dreydon took Esther from him? And will two unalike individuals from different worlds find lasting love?

Good morning (or should I say Good Evening, since you're on the other side of the pond) Marion and super congrats on your newest release!
ReplyDeletePlease tell us a bit about your new Cymllon Series. How many books do you plan for the series and how will the books connect?
You have a fascination with angels and demons, why is that one of your favorite subjects to write about?
I hope you have a lot of fun today at your Cyber Launch Party and may I be the first to wish you a Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy your day and I wish you much success with the new book!
Thanks,DeNita, for hosting this cyber launch party for me.
ReplyDeleteTaken is the first story in the series and I recently submitted a second one to my publisher. Right now I'm writing number three. Not sure if there will be more, but it's quite possible. Each one is a standalone story, featuring a hero who is a demgel/half demon, half angel, or a fallen angel, or a demon. Each heroine is either human, although one doesn't know she isn't fully human, or a humangel/part human, part angel. The stories take place on Cymllon, a world that is similar in some ways to Earth, but is magical. These are definitely 'Adults Only' novels, being naughty-but-nice---in other words somewhat erotic. ;-)
Yes, I am fascinated by angels and demons, but I'm not sure why. I love writing about them rather than penning stories about the oh-so-popular vampires and shifters.
Also, thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm sure I'll have fun tomorrow.
Congrats on the book! It sounds good. How do you come up with character names?
ReplyDeletebn100candg(at)hotmail(dot)com
Thanks!! I usually silently ask for a hero's or heroine's name and I 'hear' it in my mind, as though the character answers me. Crazy, eh? However, once in a while I flip through my copy of 'A Dictionary of Angels' to find a name for a hero if he's an angel.
DeleteHi there Marion. I also love angels, have always found them interesting and love books about them. Your characters are part angel and part demon which has to give you all kinds of great twists for your books. I hope you decide to continue your series past the first three books. I love to revisit an exciting "world" again and again.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your new book, I'll be checking it out for sure.
Thanks, Lauri Jo,
ReplyDeleteCymllon is definitely an exciting world with lots of demons, angels, demgels, shifters, dragons and other mythical creatures living on it, too.
Congrats on your release!! Sounds awesome! Where do you get your character's names?? Zortek and Dreydon are definitely unusual names.

Thanks, Susan. Those two names just came to me, almost as though the demgels told me their names. That's the way I often come up with the names of characters.
