Celebrating A Kinky New BDSM Romance From Kacey Hammell

All day today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a sexy new BDSM romance from Kacey Hammell.

TIED DOWN by Kacey Hammell

The Edge Series

In the Arms of the Law Book 2.5

The time has come for Brady Jacobs to grab hold of the woman he loves and their future. But his lady, Isabella Knowles, is skittish. She’ll bolt at the mention of a future with him. He needs to handle her with precise planning, tools to seduce and never give her a moment to flee.

Brady will tie her down, pleasure her, push her farther than she’s ever experienced…then ask her to marry him. But no amount of planning can ensure Bella’s answer won’t include the business end of her Glock.

The writer: Kacey Hammell is a multi-published author who was encouraged to write by her beloved husband and quickly found herself writing fast and furiously. Not that she'll ever tell him those three dreadful words that he longs to hear..."You were right."

Kacey is a true romantic at heart. Nothing is better for her than two fated mates coming together to find their happily-ever-after. With a love of contemporary settings, modern day romances and the happily ever after, as well as the excitement of suspense, Kacey creates stories in genres she's familiar with and that she loves most. She also loves vampires who nibble the necks of the heroines, ghosts who can't leave a loved one, shape-shifters who are sexier than hell and the thought of her very own werewolf or were-cat to tame makes her tremble! Locked in her office, at her computer, she lets her lusty and exciting characters lead her through their trials and tribulations, love and their adventures. Detectives, P.I.'s, musicians, club owners, sassy and headstrong women all come to life in her heart and on paper.

The Wife and Mom: Born, raised and still living in her hometown in Ontario, Canada, Kacey found true love with her husband. As a Mom of three, Kacey has made certain that each of her children know the value of the written word and the adventures they could escape on by becoming book-a-holics in their own right.

Some of Kacey's favourite authors include: Suzanne Brockmann, JD Robb, Jaci Burton, Sara Brookes, Patricia A. Rasey, Sandra Brown, Rosalie Stanton, Jasmine Haynes, Maya Banks, Terri Schaefer, Lauren Dane, John Grisham, Cherry Adair ... to name a few.

    1. Thank you thank you!!

Tied Down ties (oops LOL) into my "In the Arms of the Law" series because it revisits Bella & Brady (from Illusions). So it's a quick, short read that lets readers know what's happening with the two of them.

This time, however, Brady gets the upper hand *g*

The Edge line at Decadent Pub is short stories that push the envelope on "edgier" love scenes. Many many amazing stories that are so delicious!! Mmmm.

  2. I just looked this up on my Kindle because I really enjoy police and fireman romances. Great reviews, a super cover-- I can't wait to read the whole series.

If you don't mind my asking: What started you writing stories featuring law enforcement?

    Congrats Kacey!

    1. Hi Buffi!
      Thanks for coming by.

I love cop shows -- NCIS, CSI, Rookie Blue, Cagney & Lacey, Hill Street Blues, Bones, Third Watch, Blue Bloods, (aging myself on some of those! LOL) So to write about cops and different branches of law enforcement, P.I.'s just seemed natural for me.

Thanks so much! I hope you get a chance to enjoy the whole series.

  3. Great post. Kacey is a new author for me and always looking for new authors to check out. Love law-police books. Cops & firmen are sexy. Love some sexy lawn enforcements with their handcuffs. LOL.
My questions for you are: what is your favorite genre to read? Which do you prefer to write-series or stand alones? And do you get to choose what is one your book covers or someone else?
    Thanks for the giveaway.

    1. Hi Chris! Thanks for stopping by.

Fave genres are contemporary, romantic suspense (erotic & non-erotic). I love series. I like revisiting characters, especially those that become great friends of mine, and like to develop the depths in plot with those amazing characters.
I've been lucky to have some input on all my covers. Most publishers allow authors to fill out a cover art form, let us give options of scene, and how sexy or not we wish it to be. So a lot of times the artists get it right. And most pubs allow one change from the mock-up cover that we receive, so it's a partnership.
With Tied Down though, because The Edge line uses specific images for each genre of the story, this was a standard one for this type of story. :D

Thanks so much for the awesome questions!

    1. I'm comfortable in the genres that I currently write in. But if I had to pick, I think it would b Sci-fi. Though I'm not a huge fan of the genre there are some authors that really impress me and I enjoy reading. I respect authors who specialize in the genre a lot, and the historical genre too, since I don't think I'd be able to conquer those genres. :D
      Thanks for stopping by Jean!

  5. Congrats on this release! I read Isabella's Illusions recently & enjoyed it very much. I love the cover for this book & this post makes me want to read it NOW. But I want to read the 1st book in this series first. Now ??? When you get an idea for a book (i.e. characters, setting, etc.) & you first sit down to type/write....how long before you come up for air so to speak?

This book, TIED DOWN is book 2.5 of the In the Arms of the Law Series.
    Order is :
    Illusions
    Awakenings
    Tied Down
    Wild Thunder

"The Edge" is a line at the publisher, which is short stories. So TIED DOWN revisits Bella & Brady, which you would have met / read in Illusions.

When I get an idea for a book, lately, I've had to have the whole thing -- begin, middle, end (for the main points) -- to play out in my head before I can write. Then once I see the Key moments/twists in my head, I can sit and fill in the rest, as it comes after each particular crucial moment. When it all comes together, I write until I just have to stop. But the longest I've written in one day consistently without stopping is about 10 hrs straight.

I hope you get a chance to read the sequels to Illusions :D

My absolute fave book is Pride & Prejudice. Totally draws me in, even after many years of reading it.

  10. Thanks for the great words! I love that you love the sound of it.

I am hoping to do at least 3 more stories for the series (9 are originally planned) but we'll see how things go.

When a new release comes out, my hubs will send me flowers. And my kids will make me a special dinner/bkfst. This past weekend was french toast cooked magnificently by my 2 sons *g*

    Thanks for stopping by!
