NEVER LOOK BACK by Tim Smith
Nick Seven and Felicia Hagens left the CIA to carve out an idyllic anonymous life in The Florida Keys. The last thing they wanted was to be used by their former employer as pawns in America’s war on terror.
Nick and Felicia navigate a complex maze of intrigue and double-crosses while dealing with a rogue agent from their past who has a score to settle. When Felicia becomes part of the scheme the stakes get higher and more personal.
Can Nick keep her out of harm’s way or will he finally be outwitted? Will Felicia stay with him or return to Barbados?

Congrats on the book! It sounds good. What's your favorite thing to photograph?

Thanks for the warm welcome! Nick Seven came to me from a desire to create a hero that hadn't been extensively used - a former CIA spook who wants to stay out of the game. He's an everyman in that he wants to live his life on his own terms in The Florida Keys. In each story something comes up that pulls him back into the life of intrigue he walked away from. He lives with a former co-worker named Felicia, who hails from Barbados. She's as tough as he is and in each story she gets to kick some serious butt. The heat they generate between the sheets could melt the polar ice cap.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite things to photograph are sunsets, because they're like snowflakes - each one is different.
Congratulations on your new release!!
ReplyDeleteDid you have to do a lot of research into the CIA for your character?

Hi Tim your book sounds great. Do you ever use things from real life in your book?
ReplyDeletequiltlady110 AT gmail DOT com
I did some research for the character's spy background, but the reason I chose the CIA is that it's so secretive no one really knows what they do.
ReplyDeleteAs for real life elements, I always include some of my own experiences in my books.
Congratulations on your newest release, it sounds like a winner.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspired you to become an author, do you have a favorite book that you've written?
tiffanykrepps @ gmail . com
Hello Tim and congratulations on your new book. I love action thrillers and when you add in some hot sex, well, I'm sold!
ReplyDeleteHow many books are already out in the series and what is the reading order? I like to start at the begining.
Beckie, "Never Look Back" is the second in the e-book versions. "Memories Die Last" (Nov. 2011) came first but I must emphasize that they don't need to be read in order. Each book stands alone.
ReplyDeleteTiffany, I'm not certain what life experience pushed me to pursue authorhood, but I've always had an interest in writing. Ten years ago I decided to either treat it seriously or stop talking about it.
Asking which book is my favorite is like asking which one of your kids you like best. The correct answer is "All of them!" and that's what I'll go with. I had fun writing every book and there are elements or scenes in each that I'm fond of.
