Celebrating A Sexy Hot New BDSM Anthology

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a hot new BDSM anthology from Total-e-Bound Publishing that features stories from authors Desiree Holt, Wendi Zwaduk, Lisabet Sarai, Elizabeth Coldwell, Amy Valenti and Lauren Gallagher.

SWITCH ANTHOLOGY

'Top or Bottom?' by Desiree Holt

When you think something is missing from your BDSM relationshiop, maybe it's time to ask 'top or bottom?'

Both Keith and Shea were looking for something a little different in the BDSM world. Their chance meeting in an adult toy store gave them the opportunity to switch for an afternoon.

But when their playtime was over, would they be fulfilled? And could they go back to their normal roles or would they still crave something more?

Reader Advisory: This book contains active BDSM play and a high degree of smuttiness.

'Still The One' by Wendi Zwaduk

She'll be his salvation if he's willing to switch.

Being stressed out sucks, especially when you're in charge of a team. Just ask Eric Trask. The pit crew of the Fifty-Four truck team depends on him. The stress of keeping things running smoothly is wearing Eric down. What's a guy to do to get a little relief?

Janine Walters knows exactly what Eric's up against. She's the public relations face of the team. Pressure is all a part of the job. Her outlet for stress just happens to be wielding a crop. Can Eric embrace her methods for stress relief or will her suggestion tear their fragile relationship apart?

Reader Advisory: This book contains the use of a crop, spanking, a little bondage, a little pegging, some toys and a woman who knows how to use a strap on to pleasure her man.

Other stories include:

'Mastering Maya' by Lisabet Sarai

Behind the mask of control hides a spirit aching to surrender.

'Wagers of Sin' by Elizabeth Coldwell

Selina will never be a true dominant until she learns to submit...and Marcus bets he can show her how.

'Switching Off' by Amy Valenti

With his collar around her throat and her pulse pounding through her body, can she switch off enough to submit to his every whim?

'Who Compels My Strength' by Lauren Gallagher

'Can switching roles restore their confidence in their Dom/sub relationship, or are these doubts happening for a reason?

  1. Good morning ladies and super congrats on the new anthology!!! I know I speak for a lot of readers when I say how much I love anthologies for giving me samples of authors I haven't fallen in love with yet ;)

Please feel free to stop in and tell us about your story in this new anthology and tell us how we can learn more about you and your other work.

Each of these stories are available alone as well, is that right? Any word on whether this will go into print?

Wishing all of you great success with your new book - have fun today and thanks for the giveaways!

    Enjoy your party!

  2. Hi all! "waving madly to fellow author Wendi Zwadek!" I had such a good time writing for this anthology. Most of the BDSM stories I write have a strong Dom and a lovable submissive (at least I hope she's lovable!). I did write one with a female Domme, which was a nice twist for me. But in this one the couple got to swap roles, which led each of them to a new understanding of the other one. I hated for the story to end!

  3. This book sounds great. My type of read. I love anthologies, it gives you a chance to check out work of other authors in shorter stories. Most of the authors I am familiar with. Wendy is a new author for me. My questions are for her. Wendy-What is your favorite genre to write? Do you prefer to write stand-alones or series? Who are your go to authors? Definately want to check out your story Wendy and the rest of this book sounds awesome. Can't wait to read Desiree's stories. Love switches-willing to go both sides. Thanks for the giveaway.

  4. Hi Ladies! Hi Desiree!!! So glad we got to do this anthology together! I love to write BDSM, but mine tends to be on the lighter side. Hey, gotta have light and dark bdsm. In this one, I've got a saucy Female Domme who grew up in the lifestyle. Her perfect sub doesn't realize he's sub material. Good thing he's got her to straighten him out. I'm with Desiree, I hated for this one to end, too.

Looks like its going to print in the month of October, so for those who want a paper book to read, keep the peepers peeled!

The standalone stories should be available in November. :-)

  5. I love anthologies and this one sounds great. I usually read paranormal books and just starting reading this BDSM. How did both of you get into writing BDSM?

  6. Chrisbalis - Thanks! I hope you find some of my work you enjoy. I love to write both stand alone and anthology stories. The challenge in antho stories is making it fit with the others. But I love standalone ones, too. My favorite genre to write in would be contemp with light bdsm. I love strong heroes, especially those who are willing to experiment. My go to authors...Desiree, KA Mitchell, Devon Rhodes, Anne Rainey... I love a lot of authors. I hope you enjoy the book. Desiree and I teamed up on the Treble anthology at TEB, as well. More BDSM with menages!

  7. Hi Vanessa,

I got into writing BDSM because the characters demanded it. I write what they want to do. I hope you enjoy the book. :-)

  8. Hi Vanessa, I got into BDSM after reading books in Joey Hill's Nature of Desire series. It fascinated me and prompted me to begin doing research on the lifestyle. There are some excellent web site plus I joined a couple of communities. People have ben great about answering my questions. The more I get involved in it the more I realize there's a level of trust you really don't find anywhere else. So I guess I like to explore people's emotional connections as well as their sexuality. Whew! A long answer but then I could never say anything in 25 words or less!

  9. Congrats on your new release Ladies. The anthology sounds excitng. I'll have to buy it just to learn what "pegging" is. LOL. And I thought I was risque for writing a karate black-belt bondage scene for my upcoming Freya's Bower release. Maybe something good will come out of "50" and more and more readers will buy erotica =)

    1. Hi Amy! So glad you made it. Switching Off is a great story. So hot! Being in an antho with you and Desiree is the best. Where'd you get the idea for Switching Off?

      Wendi

    2. Awww, thanks Wendi. :D

The idea for Switching Off actually came from working in an office. I'm now a freelance editor who works from home, and the contrast between how chilled out my schedule is now and how regimented it was when I wasn't my own boss got me thinking.

The main character of SO is a woman who's used to being very professionally dominant - she's in middle management, and so has to boss her team of underlings around constantly. She's not a Domme in the sexual sense, but she can't leave her work at home and her friend, who just happens to be a Dom in a very sexual way, takes it upon himself to get her to switch off her constant connection to her inbox and become his submissive.

I think a lot of women who have to be dominant in everyday life find submission in the bedroom rewarding, cause it's a total change of pace and they get off on that. Personally, I've found that to be the case. I'm getting more in control of things by the year, but I do love relinquishing that responsibility in, um, certain areas. ;)

How about you, Wendi? Did Still the One come from anywhere in particular? :)

    3. Still the One was born out of another story of mine, Ever Fallen in Love. In that one, the guy is the dominant and the heroine is the sub. She's very in charge at her job and you guessed it, she craves the change in pace. But she's got a friend and co-worker who needed a story. In came Still the One. I also admit, the story was born out of my love of racing. And the drivers have a lot of things they have to control in the car and on the track. So for Still the One, my crew chief - the guy in charge of the driver and car - is having a melt down. He needs to be dominant in his job, but his coping skills need a tune-up. Enter Janine. She's the dominant he needs in order to make everything else work.

And it looks like I've jumped on the long-answer train. Snicker.

    1. Hey, Desiree! Nice to be here.

I'm in complete awe of 'Top or Bottom?', I have to admit - what a way to kick off an anthology! The twist at the end was fantastic. Thank you for such a lovely reading experience. :D

  18. These stories sound good. How do you coordinate with the other authors on the anthology?

    1. We didn't actually coordinate at all - Total-E-Bound put out a call for switching stories at 10-15K, so I wrote one. After the deadline passed I got an email saying I'd made it in, and I worked with the anthology editor (who actually is another Amy, randomly enough) to get it ready for publication. I didn't get to read everyone else's stories until we got our author copies of the books last week.

All the stories are very different, which is great - it's not just a repetition of the same story six times. I found that really interesting, actually.

  19. Congrats on this new release!! It looks so good and I will be adding it to my wish list! I love to read BDSM stories and I have wondered if the authors who write in this genre also read it? What do you all like to read?

    1. Susan, I don't know about the other authors, but for my part... sometimes. I first started thinking about BDSM when I read Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series, which is a lot of political intrigue in a fantasy medieval world, and the kink is a plot device because the main character has been chosen by a god to find pleasure in pain. There's plenty of naughtiness, but the books are so long that there are lots of chapters without erotic/kink scenes, too.

I prefer to read plot-heavy books with erotic elements rather than full-on erotic fiction a lot of the time. Kelley Armstrong and Ilona Andrews are favourites of mine when it comes to stringing out the sexual tension for chapter after chapter.

Erotic romance genrewise, I'm not sure if you've read Sara Fawkes' series of shorts named 'Anything He Wants', but I have to admit I'm totally hooked on those. ;)

  21. I enjoy reading BDSM stories. I started with Lora Leigh's Ops series and moved right on to Joey Hill and of course, Desiree's books. I like to read most any book as long as there's a good hook to it, engaging characters and heat.

  22. I love reading BDSM stories too! Some I read are lighter ones, others darker and intense. And I do love reading anthologies from time to time, they are great to try new-to-me authors and for short bedtime reads, that hopefully won't keep me up all night reading, lol.
