Celebrating Karen Kelley's Sexy New Western Paranormal

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Karen Kelley's sexy new paranormal release!

WHERE THERE'S A WILL by Karen Kelley

Her Fantasies Were Wild But Buried Deep...

Haley Tillman works hard at being a good girl, hiding her rich fantasy life in the pages of her diary. But being good doesn't seem to get her anywhere with men, and her confidence is on a downward spiral. She's ready to try something altogether different, but hasn't a clue where to start. In a moment of desperation, she prays for a miracle...

He Might Take Her Beyond Them...

Ryder is the perfect combination of powerful angel plus normal hot–blooded man. Crossing into the mortal world could cost him his existence. But mortals are like a potent drug to Ryder, and Hayley is quickly becoming his drug of choice...

Karen Kelley became very adept at how things worked in the publishing world. You write a book, you mail it off, you get rejected, you write another book. She did this for six years until one day she talked her husband into mailing her manuscript for her. She couldn't take one more look of pity from the postal workers. Being the loving husband that he is, he mailed Bachelor Party to Hilary Sares at Kensington to be considered for the Precious Gem line on a Tuesday. On Friday of that same week, Hilary called to offer a contract.

Wow! Wouldn't it be great if everything in life was that easy? Publishing can be a rocky road with lots of highs and lows but, oh, what a fun trip!

When Karen's not writing, she loves doing crafts, and she'll try just about anything. At present, she's scrapbooking and making necklaces. She's country all the way. She loves antiques, embroidered scarves, crocheted doilies and quilts.

Karen met the love of her life when they were kids, they married when they were still just kids even though everyone said it wouldn't last. That was almost 42 years ago and Karl is still her very best friend. They have two fabulous children who married fabulous people and gave them four wonderful grandchildren that they can spoil--then return to the peace and quiet of their home.

  6. Hi everyone. Sorry it took me a while to get here. I'm working my other job--nursing 😊.
Yes, this is part of a series about heroes who are half angel and half man. In where There's A Will Haley has no confidence and she's been stood up again. As she cries herself to sleep she prays for a miracle. The next morning Ryder is standing on her front porch ready to answer her prayer.

  7. I'm posting from my phone so I'll be on/off most of the day. But I'm thrilled to be here.

  8. Congrats on your new release Karen... I wish you lots of wonderful sales...
    Sounds like a great book....

  14. Congrats on the new release, it looks fabulous and will be going on my wishlist!! What made you decide to write about angels? I personally love to read about them but so few authors write stories about them (atleast I have a hard time finding them).

  15. Congratulations on the book! It sounds good. What's your favorite craft to make?

  16. Ohmigosh, what a day, but I'm back again :) And I'm on the computer rather than the phone. Everyone makes using the Iphone so easy. Not me. Give me a bigger screen any day! Thanks for all the congrats and good wishes! Y'all are a fantastic bunch!!!

I know what you mean about bugeting! That's why I work two jobs, I have to support my reading habit! LOL I love books! Y'all are funny, too!

Right now in this series, three books for sure. Then I have the option book that I'm working up a proposal on--which will be Hunter's story. I also mentioned Nevaeh in one of the earlier books. She's a female Nephilim and I'd like to do her story.

I like writing both series and stand alones. I guess with series it's like visiting with old friends.

My favorite genre is paranormal--or whatever book I fall in love with at the time :)

Where I got the idea? I once read about the Nephilim--which is actually in the bible, and since then this series has been brewing in the back of my mind. It finally all came together.

I'm afraid I have too many authors I love to be able to list, but I'd have to say one author I always buy is Sharon Sala/Dinah McCall. Her characterizations are some of the best I've read.

I made the necklace, then gave it away in one of my contests :) It's actually from a belt buckle, but it was one of my favorites. This year I'm giving away a piece of jewelry and a book every month.

I think that answered most of the questions. Great questions, too!

  17. Congratulations on your newest release it sounds amazing and the cover draws me in. I saw on your website assuming I counted right that you have 20 books out, how do you find time to write all of those? Is there a genre that you enjoy reading and writing the most, or one you don't like to write or write?

  18. Wow, Karen! Congrats on this new release! I don't think I'm caught up with this series yet--I love that it combines a couple of your best genres--westerns AND paranormals! Woot! did you do anything special to celebrate this release? (Besides make and give away such gorgeous jewelry! ;)) Maybe any pieces you've kept?
