A New 1Night Stand Story From Cheryl Dragon

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a 1Night Stand Story for Cheryl Dragon!

THE LAST MAN by Cheryl Dragon

A 1Night Stand Story

Jeffery Ellison and Monica Collins face off daily in Atlanta's family court system. Both want the best for their clients but they rarely agree. The sparks are obvious to everyone else, but Monica has been disappointed by men too many times. Jeff knows pushing her will only hurt the respect and trust they've built.

A match with 1NS sounds like just the thing. The pair is off to Vegas for a legal conference and to enjoy their one night stands.

Jeff does his best to spend time with her outside of work but he can't be sure she's his for the night. All he can do is hope that Madame Eve agrees with his heart and Monica will let her guard down long enough to see their passionate potential.

Never at a loss for ideas, there are plenty of stories in her brain waiting to be written. Her two favorites book settings are Las Vegas and New Orleans...where anything can happen!

A full-time author, Cheryl lives in the Chicagoland area with her deaf albino cat.

    1. Great! I hope you like it:) It's my first effort for Decadent so I want to see if I got right before I dive in again...when it's an established series like this reader expectations are high and specific. And I do have a busy writing schedule elsewhere, so we'll see how this one is received and what the muse creates....The Edge is another tempting series at Decadent so we'll see where I fit in best! Thanks!

  3. The Last Man is part of the 1Night Stand series so it's a tight story:) Hopefully readers like it!! It's about coworkers who should be together and need that nudge....

What else is going on?? Plenty. October will have two new releases! A m/f paranormal called Don't Drink the Blood and a m/m bdsm cyberpunk called Cyber Scavenge (first in a series)...so some new fun stuff!!

And don't worry....menage + fans! November has 2 for you!! Lucky Springs: Salesmen on the Rise and Warrior's Craft: 4 GIs & A Witch.

    I definitely didn't take the summer off...lol!

  4. Do you approach writing menages differently than you do straight m/m (my favorite!) or m/f?

    1. menages are a bit different because you're talking about an unconventional relationship structure. My menages 99% of the time involved m/m. All of the men (unless related to each other or on rare occasions you have a straight guy find his way in) are bisexual so it's very hot and involved but the woman is the center and the heart of it all. I love writing them and they flow for me...but you have to think about it differently:D

I've got some m/m coming out...those are wild fun!

I don't gamble much because there is so much else to do...see the sites and what's changed!

  7. Elvis impersonator? Seriously congrats on the book. I find it hard to believe that this is your first 1NS. Was it hard to work around their very specific rules for this series?

    1. Actually, I've written one Regency m/f bdsm erotic romance and I've been tinkering with more regency ideas. The change in tempo and feel makes historicals slower to write for me...but I love them:) I CAN'T wait for Downton Abby's new episodes! I know it's not regency but historical!

How do you decide upon where to set your stories?

    1. Thanks Marybelle! It depends. Some series are set in a location so I don't have to think about it...I love Vegas and New Orleans. I'm from the Chicagoland area so I try not to overuse Chitown. I try to pick a location that'll support the story. Like here, they both live in Atlanta...a large city that'll have plenty of lawyers working in the family court system.

    1. Hi Annalisa!
Yes, I have read other 1Night Stand stories. That's half the trick. Trying to include the right themes/elements and not pattern the story after another story. Making it all mine but with the proper pieces. Lol! It's a fun writing challenge;)
      thanks!

    1. This weekend? I watched the Emmys...I am a TV junkie so I do enjoy it. My favorite way to unwind is TV. a marathon of a show that takes me out of my stories and plans let's my muse take a break. Thanks!

    1. Hi Vanesa!
This was my first 1NS. We'll see if I got the combo right before I plan more. I was thinking about trying the Edge...another series at Decadent but its all about what the muse decides to write next...the story has to grab me and then I figure out where it fits:D Thanks!
