All day today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a new release for the writing team of April Fifer and Danielle Hylton-Outland!
LOVE, LIES AND A BLOKE by April Fifer and Danielle Hylton-Outland
Katherine Thomas is a lackluster kind of girl who refuses to bend the rules.
Until one day she loses her job and is forced to reevaluate her life.
One trip
to Australia changes her world forever. Katherine leaves her hometown of Fleming
to find herself, however she ends up finding love, lies and a bloke.

Danielle Hylton-Outland was raised in Virginia. She grew up having a huge appetite for daydreaming; always wanting to live in the spectacular worlds she created in her mind. She now lives with her husband and dog where she is pursuing a degree in literature. Danielle is a strong animal activist. She is currently co-writing the second book in the Flesh Series, "Flesh and Flames".
April Fifer grew up in a small town in Virginia, where it was common practice believing that dreams could only be found in stories. At the age of seven she was diagnosed with dyslexia. She was told that she would struggle through life and would never pick up a book to read for pleasure. Although school was hard, she was able to find her way with the help of two teachers who taught her self-discovery. Ignoring what she was taught growing up, she turned it around and found that your dreams could become stories.

Welcome ladies!!! So excited to have you with us again to celebrate your second book together! I love the cover and the title, sounds like a great movie!
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact, if it were made into a movie, who would each of you like to see in the lead roles?
Tell us about the book and what you have coming up? Are you working on the follow up to your Flesh Series? When you do expect that one to come out? And I saw you had a shifter book coming out soon, right? Glad to see you guys keeping busy!!
Enjoy your party today - thanks for the great giveaway and I hope LOVE, LIES AND A BLOKE is a big seller for you! Enjoy!
Thank so much!
ReplyDeleteHmmm.... a cast for Love, Lies and a Bloke? We'd have to say Chris Pine as the very hot Brody, Olivia Munn for Katherine and Amanda Seyfried for Zoe.
We hope that everyone finds this as a fun read. We've all wanted to jump a plane and forget who we were for just a little while. And that's exactly what Katherine does, only she finds herself in love with the man of her dreams and everything she has told him is a complete lie!
As for as other works, we are still working on Flesh and Flames which is book 2 of The Flesh Series, and we have some other fun stuff in the works :-)
We look forward to hearing from everyone!
Hello Ladies, your book sounds fabulous and I would love to read it. Authors amaze me and to write a book together is something else! How hard is it to get together and write a book? Do you use things from real life in your books?
ReplyDeleteWe love writing together. We see each other everyday so it's not too hard :-) And we steal from our real lives as well as our imagination! It's a great balance. LOL.

Hi April and Danielle. Your book sounds great. I love the cover. Did you travel to Australia to research your book?
ReplyDeleteCrystal816[at]hotmail[dot]com
We wish we did! haha. No, we didn't travel there. But we did research... a LOT!
DeleteCongrats on the new book. I guess because this is your second book together you find that collaborating isn't horrible. My question do you write via internet or in person?
ReplyDelete1_trouble AT msn DOT com
We write together in person :-) We are lucky enough to live two minutes from each other.
DeleteHello to you both! I am always fascinated by how authors are able to collaborate on a book. Do you have any plans to co-write any more books in the future?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new release!

We have one rule... we never write alone! haha. It's too fun to write together. Either of us would hate to write by ourselves.
DeleteCongrats on your newest book,i already have it on my Kindle and will be reading it later today :)
ReplyDeletereginamayross@gmail.com
Yay! Thanks so much :-) We appreciate it!
DeleteWoot--congrats, April and Danielle! How neat to be celebrating your second release! Do you have similar work and writing approaches? Have you had to adjust either to accommodate co-writing? And are you doing anything fun to celebrate this new release together? A toast? A trip to Australia? :)
ReplyDeletef dot chen at comcast dot net
Haha. We do have more in the works. It has been so fun to write together. And since we seriously believe we were separated at birth, no, we don't have to adjust anything. It goes pretty smoothly. And how we would love to go to Australia, but won't be doing that anytime soon. We will probably have a couple of drinks and call it a day. LOL.
DeleteCongrats on your release! Sounds great! Love how she just picks up the pieces and takes her life into her own hands. :) I cant wait to read this. Adding it to my TBR pile. Thank you! Congrats! What are you writing next?
ReplyDeleteshadowluvs2read(at)gmail(dot)com
Thanks so much :-) I think the question is what aren't we writing. My laptop is looking a little scary at this point. It' have 4 works in progress, and over 20 plot bunnies. Yikes! We do have another book in June coming out called "The Witch and The Werewolf."
DeleteCongratulations on the book. It sounds good. How do you like to celebrate each new book?
ReplyDeletebn100candg(at)hotmail(dot)com
So far we just hang out and take a night off. LOL.
DeleteLOVE, LIES AND A BLOKE looks like a great read.
ReplyDeleteHave either of you been to Australia?
marypres(AT)gmail(DOT)com
No :-( *cry*
DeleteIs it harder to write a book as a team?
ReplyDeletecsdsksds( at) Gmail.com
We don't think so. We love writing together. It's like a two parent job.
DeleteSounds like you two are making a great team. Don't stop writing! Do either of you have "real life" jobs? Do you ever have scheduling conflicts, or does your two minute walk make everything pretty easy?
ReplyDeleteashley.vanburen[at]gmail[dot]com
We do have real life jobs. We work at the same company. So we see each other everyday. Schedules are never bad. And we live 5 minutes apart so getting together to write it easy!
DeleteSounds like a great book!
ReplyDeleteDo you guys have a favourite place to write?
chey127 at hotmail dot com
