Celebrating A New Erotic Vampire Romance From Tianna Xander

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of FREEING THE LOVE SLAVE, a new erotic romance from Tianna Xander and Cobblestone Press.

Tianna is the author of several paranormal, time-travel and science fiction romance novels. She loves reading everything from romance novels, murder mysteries and encyclopedias, to handbooks on solar energy. Tianna is the first to admit she spends far too much time surfing the internet and chatting with her online friends and critique groups. Having written several novels and working on at least one more at any given time -- Tianna still finds time for her family, friends and her many pets. She currently lives in Michigan with her husband, two children, three cats, two big dogs and one occasionally terrorized Netherland Dwarf bunny. Her life is anything but boring.

  3. I know you can't answer my question because it's the point of the story but...if it's in her DNA, how does he free her? Thanks for the giveaway.

  8. Loved the love slave and shifter idea. I have never read about a ferret shifter...too cute!. Since you have a bunny for a pet, have you ever written a shifter story about bunnies or will you use one in the future? Love the unique ferret idea!

  9. Thank you, Missy. I hope you liked reading it at least half as much as I loved writing it.

  10. It was just a what if senario. A friend and I were asking each other questions and I went off on a tangent. A lot of people write BDSM stories about submissives. That is what they want. But what if there was something that could force you to be submissive even if it was against your nature to be so?

How would you feel and how would you react while something within you forces you to do something totally abhorrent to you while your mind screams, "NO!"?

What would an honorable man do when faced with loving such a woman? What would an honorable woman do when faced with loving such a man?

I tried to capture that with Freeing the Love Slave.

  11. I haven't written a shifter story about bunnies, though it's an intriguing idea for am Easter story. Lol A Tabby cat shifter makes a short appearance in Return to Paradise, but that's as close as I get.

As far as th ferret goes, I have always thought they were cute. Destructive, but cute.

  14. Congratulations on your new release. How much research did you have to do for the book?

  15. This may ne this first of a trilogy. I'm not sure . It depends on how well it's accepted and what the reviews look like. The next two may be longer.

As for the research, I don't think there is much to find on such a species. To my knowledge, it hasn't been done before, nor are there any myths or legends.

It was fun inventing the mythology though. :-)

  16. Thanks to those of you who commented on the cover. I usually give my cover artist artistic freedom. I have found that if I do, nine times out of ten, it is better than anything I could have imagined.

  17. Jen, that was a very good question. It took me a while to come up with an answer that was more than, "You'll just have to read the book to find out." LOL

Let's just say that he gets a little angry and figures it out. It would take a very smart, loving and secure man to figure out how to defy one's very destiny. :-)

  21. Congrat Tianna! Sounds like an awesome book! It's definitely on my TBB list. What made you choose a ferret shifter?

  22. She,

I usually start writing and the title will come to me somewhere in the middle. :-) Other times I have to work at it. LOL This one was one of the former. It just came to me as I wrote the story.

    Debby,

I have a Hidden Breeds series. Book 1 released the first of February and I have the Dragon Bound series. Book 1 released the first of April.

You can always go to www.tiannaxander.com and check out what's new there too. I also have a blog there and at blogger. They mirror each other. I will be posting information about a new contest for a freshwater pearl and jasper bracelet from Amanda's Mystical Mayhem Jewelry soon.

I hope the info will also be here on the Author Island contest page.
You might want to check the page out. The last time I looked there were lots of contests listed. :-)

  23. Jessica,

I've always thought ferrets were cute. I used to know someone who had ferrets. they are very cute, but destructive creatures. They love to chew on doorframes and baseboards. It doesn't make them any less adorable in someone else's house though. LOL

I thought using one in a book would be nice. Besides, Nicco isn't only a ferret. He has many shapes and sizes. I He will have his own book if I make this a trilogy.

I can't think of a better way to humble him than have him fall in love and have his mate take hime for the ride of his life.

  24. If Nicco can shift into many forms, what kind of being is he? And does Alexander know that Nicco is more than a ferret?

    lynda98662@yahoo.com

  25. Yes, Alexander knows that Nicco can shift into other forms. They have been friends for a long time.

  26. I like the concept that one has to agree to be captured to be set free. Not seen many shifters that are ferrets but I agree they can be destructive though usually because they are bored.
