"All dreams lie beyond defeat." That quote by an unknown author has inspired Barbara Clark to keep writing and creating new stories set in a variety of locations. Her books range from the coast of southern California to a glittering penthouse in New York city, a working cattle ranch in Arizona, the romance and challenge of the Sahara Desert, and the heat and danger of a Brazilian Rain Forest. Her readers have come to expect deep emotions, simple joys, and heart-stopping peril in her award-winning books.
Her newly released book, DANGEROUS HAVEN, was first available in download and print. Now it’s available as an audio book from Audio Lark with a new cover and a button on the publisher’s website that you can click to listen to a short audio sample.
DANGEROUS HAVEN by Barbara Clark
Sharon Smith thinks Walkersville is a safe haven. Still bruised by the loss of her husband, a man she thought she knew until his death exposed his secrets, all she wants is the peace and quiet of small town life.
Brand Templeton thinks Walkersville is a crime scene. He’s returned to Hawk Haven to lay claim to his father’s empire and revenge the cruelty that led to his mother’s death.
Now they must help each other to face the ghosts of their past if either is to have a chance at a future.

I love audio books, how great that your book got picked to be one!
ReplyDeleteI have a long drive every weekend to see my folks, so I always take along a book on tape or two to make the boring drive a bit more fun.
Was it weird for you to hear someone reading your words the first time you heard it?
Hi, Everyone,
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your comments and question.
Dangerous Haven is my first book in audio, but I do have several audio books by other authors on my iPod Nano. I listen to them while I'm doing my exercises at the gym.
The company, Audio Lark, did a beautifully professional job. The cover is very appropriate, the sound is clear, and the reader did an awesome job.
Sharon asked if it was weird to hear someone reading my words the first time I heard it.
The first time I heard an audio book was when my husband and I were driving from southern California to Reno, Nevada, to a Romantic Times convention
Warm Regards,
Barbara
