Celebrating Release Day For BLADE SONG by J.C. Daniels

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating J.C. Daniels, aka Shiloh Walker's release day for BLADE SONG, the first book in her urban fantasy series The Colbana Files.

BLADE SONG by J.C. Daniels
The Colbana Files

Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades—has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.

So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters—especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.

Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she’s gotten in over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she fails—she’s dead.

If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…

J.C. Daniels exploded in being in May of 2012. She’s the pen name of author Shiloh Walker and was created basically because Shiloh writes like a hyperactive bunny and an intervention was necessary. J.C. is the intervention. The name… J.C. Daniels is a play off of the three people who pretty much run Shiloh’s life.

Shiloh Walker has been writing since she was a kid. She fell in love with vampires with the book Bunnicula and has worked her way up to the more…ah…serious works of fiction. She loves reading and writing just about every kind of romance. Once upon a time she worked as a nurse, but now she writes full time and lives with her family in the Midwest. She writes romantic suspense and paranormal romance, among other things.

  2. Happy release day Shiloh!

My question is - How many books will there be in the Blade series?

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    1. Tasnim, at this point, I can't say... it all depends on how the first one does. Selfpublishing requires a huge commitment, both time and money, upfront and I have to know I have afford to do it.

In a month or two, hopefully, I'll have an answer.

  3. This doesn't sound like much of a departure from your Shiloh books. What makes the blade books worthy of a pen name?

    1. I actually go into detail more about that on my site, but the pen name was necessary, and the book is actually very different. It's not a romance, and there is no set HEA, not in this book, and if I'm able to pursue the coming books, there is no HEA in the coming titles, either.

    1. Ummmm... that depends. LOL. Writers use bits and pieces of stuff for inspiration all the time, I think.

    1. I go into detail with that on my site, but the short story...it was necessity. Easier to focus things down.

  17. Sorry I'm late in replying, guys. I was out of town yesterday and commenting on blogs with a cell phone is difficult, at best. Today was dealing with the dentist and catch-up and I try to avoid work stuff in the evening so I can be with my family.

    thanks for dropping by, though!
