SPACE BRIDE by Missy Martine
Galactic Nuptials Book One
Galactic Nuptials finds mates for species living in the Federation of Planets. They offer monetary incentives to lure young women into leaving their home planets to find love. Each prospective mate has ninety days to decide if their new home is right for them.
Caleigh Davis is struggling to raise her younger brother alone. The last thing she expects is for him to sign her name to a contract with a mail-order bride agency.
Andon and Tarik of the Castir Clan have tried to lure a mate to their home on Kilara twice before. Tarik doesn’t want to risk his heart a third time, so Andon doesn’t tell him when he contracts with Galactic Nuptials for a wife from Earth.
With so much deception, can the three of them find love before Caleigh’s trial period runs out?

ReplyDeleteTell us all about this new book and the new series. How many books do you plan for the series and will they all be menage?
I hope you enjoy your cyber launch today and here's to SPACE BRIDE being your biggest seller yet!
Have fun!
Good morning, Author Island and thank you! Galactic Nuptials is a company that finds mates or brides for various species from different planets in the Federation of Planets. In "Space Bride" a young woman is struggling to raise her younger brother. When he sees that Galactic Nuptials gives a financial reward for new brides, he signs his sister up without bothering to mention it to her.
ReplyDeleteAndon wants a mate badly, but he and his brother have tried before, unsuccessfully, to lure mates to live on Kilara. His brother doesn't want to risk getting his heart broken a third time, so Andon doesn't tell him when he places an order with Galactic Nuptial. When these three people meet up, they have a lot of deception to get past to find true love.
Right now the Galactic Nuptials Series has 3 books. The second one, My Chameleon Loves will be out next month. It's a M/F/M menage. And the 3rd is Meredith's Pride and it's a M/M/M menage. There may be more, I haven't decided yet. I have been getting some good ideas for stories from some of my fans.
Thanks for hosting my party today. I look forward to hearing from the readers.

Hi Missy, Congrats on the new series. Was it hard to build an alien civilization words, customs, etc.?

Hello, Donna. Thank you :) It wasn't hard to build a new world, it was fun! I got to use my imagination with the idea that "anything goes" - I had a blast creating Kilara. Thanks for stopping by today and good luck with the contest.
DeleteCongrats on the new book, I already have it I got it on pre-order. Love all your books and grab them up fast. Can't wait for more.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, rougebolo :) I hope you enjoy Space Bride and hopefully you'll look for My Chameleon Loves next month. Thanks for stopping by today!
DeleteHi Missy! :) Congrats on your new book. I've read quite a few of your other ones (Anna Doubles Down will always be a favorite). Do you prefer writing books like Space Bride, or time travel stories?
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica, Thank you. I actually preferred writing the books based on the old west. It wasn't the time-travel part that attracted me, but all the research I did on the west. I truely think I was born in the wrong time. I should have lived in the 1800's. Thanks for stopping by today.
DeleteHello, Missy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for introducing us to a new world (universe?). I love reading menage stories. Thank you for your stories.

Hi Tiana, you're very welcome. Thanks for taking the time to stop by today. Good luck on the contest.
DeleteCongratulations on the book! How do you decide on character names?
ReplyDeletebn100candg(at)hotmail(dot)com
Hi BN100, It depends, when the names need to be unusual, or tribal, I use a dictionary of Native American words. When it's a contemporary story, I use names from a list I made when I first started writing. It's a list of 100 of my most favortie names :) Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and good luck with the contest.
DeleteCongratulations, Missy! I know this will do well for you. It's a great book!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tianna. You're a good friend. Thanks for stopping by today.
DeleteWhat a great premise for a science fiction story! I cannot wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Candy, and thanks for taking the time to stop by today.
DeleteHi Missy: Congratulations on the release of your book. I have a question: Since you can't rely on actual history to write this book, what type of research did you do in order to make this story sound so believable?
ReplyDeleteLynn
lareynolds0316@gmail.com
Hi Lynn, Honestly, I didn't really do any research. I just relied on my fertile imagination. It was great fun just letting things go wild. Thanks for stopping by and good luck with the contest.
DeleteHi Missy, oh, that book Space Bride looks fabulous, i hope to win it. My question...is how did the idea for this novel come about? How do you know what genre it is and do you base your characters on people you know. Thank you!

Hi Suz, The idea came from my love of mail-order bride books about the old west. I also love paranormal, so I decided to combine the two. In the second book of the series my main characters are shapeshifters. I'm not sure I understand your "genre" question. The genre is decided after the book is finished. You just label it with as many genres as it falls within. And, with the exception of Table for Three, I have never based any of my characters on real people. Thanks for stopping by today and good luck with the contest.
DeleteLooking forward to reading this book. Do you decide before starting whether you are writing a series or a single story?
ReplyDeletelinze_e at hotmail.com
Hi Lindseey, So far, with one exception, I've known before I started how many books would be in the same grouping. The one time it backfired on me was Catch Her When She Falls. It's the sequel to Table for Three. I hadn't planned a sequel to that book, but I got careless and left a secondary character's outcome up in the air. I can't tell you how many emails I received wanting to know what happened to Serena. So, Serena got her own story. Consequently, her book has been my best seller so far. Thanks for stopping by and good luck on the contest.
DeleteHiyah Missy! dont know whether I am too late or not...hope not! *grin* It is great to "see" you here and to read of your newest book. My question would be what compels you to write menage? I have noticed you write quite a bit of it and am curious as to why you chose it or did it choose you?
ReplyDeleteHope you are well and the family is good!
Hugs from your fan,

You're not too late, Johanna :) I think I write menage because it's my naughtiest fantasy, one that I've never indulged, and it just comes naturally to think about it. I think a lot of women read erotic romance in order to "experience" things they don't have in their lives. For me, my fantasy would be two hot men all to myself :) Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the contest.
DeleteMissy, this sounds like a delicious new series--congratulations on the excellent reviews, too!
ReplyDeleteDid you do anything special at home to celebrate? Wishing you many more happy celebrations of releases--looking forward to adding them all to the TBR!

Hi flchen1 :) Nothing special about celebrating this time. I've been sick, and only out of the hospital a short time. Had a bout with severe pancreatitis which has definitely changed my diet. When you can't eat much of anything it makes celebrating problamatic :) Thanks for stopping by and good luck with the contest.
DeleteJust a final thank you to Author Island, and to the lovely readers who turned up to make me feel so welcome. I had a blast :) Everyone have a wonderful weekend and we'll have a winner of the book very shortly.

DeleteCongrats on the new book, Missy! Even though you can't have a proper celebration with a buffet, I think the success of this story will fill you up perfectly.
ReplyDeleteReaders are going to love this book. I've been keeping up with it through your excerpts. It's fantastic!
Hugs.
I have had this book on my wishlist since I first read the blurb for it some weeks go. I think it's a wonderful idea and hope that you have plenty of stories in the making featuring the concept of 'mail-order brides in space'.
