ETERNAL LOVERS by Zenobia Renquist
Three couples caught in a war have only one solution -- peace. Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Darius and Medusa, Lamon and Sicily, Theron and Ryver -- these three couples have struggled to make love work in the middle of the vampire-mage war, but now talk of peace is testing the strength of their relationships. Once simple meeting could mean the end of it all or the start of a new and brighter future together.

Renee is a military brat turned military wife who is currently stationed in Hawaii with her husband and two cats.
Whether writing as D. Renee Bagby or Zenobia Renquist, she is a world-builder. She loves inventing new cultures and shaping their histories and laws because it beats researching the existing ones.
Her stories span the fantasy gamut but she dabbles in sci-fi and contemporary from time to time. While her main characters tend to be of different races, she doesn't let skin color rule or limit her stories. For her, it's all about how much she can torture her characters so they earn their happily-ever-after ending.
The rules are all new and pre-conceived notions will only slow you down, so when reading Renee's stories, she asks only one thing -- Leave Your Reality Behind.

Good morning Zenobia/Renee and super congrats on your new release! It has to be a little sad that this is the final book in your Caveat Emptor Series, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteFor those not familiar with your Caveat Emptor Series, can you tell us a bit about it and how the seven books fit together? Any chance of Changeling putting all seven together in a print edition?
So now that this series is over, what's up next for Zenobia?
Hope you enjoy your Cyber Launch Party today and I hope ETERNAL LOVERS is your biggest seller yet - have fun!
MORNING!
DeleteI say as I'm about to head off to bed. I wanted to stay up and greet everyone. :D
Thanks for having me, DeNita. I love doing Cyber Launches.
I actually felt refreshed when I wrote the last word of ETERNAL LOVERS, ending the Caveat Emptor series, because I left my characters in a good place.
The Caveat Emptor series is about three couples struggling to make love work in the midst of the vampire-mage war. The books are written as couplets (two books for each couple in the heroines' points of view) that should be read in order. The finale, which is written in the heroes' points of view, wraps up everything.
Will it be gathered in print? Only time will tell.
Next up for me is a lot, actually. I just gave my editor three short stories -- two for Razor's Edge Press and one for the multi-author Christmas collection (yup, already thinking about Christmas). I'm finishing up two more novellas slated for the Wet multi-author series (should have them done later today) and then I'm going to focus on finishing a novel. I also have the next book in the Guardian's Tales series started.
On top of all that, I also turned in three Encounters (free reads) related to the Caveat Emptor series. I think I turned them in on time to be included in the next Cheeky Changeling eZine. We'll see when the 15th rolls around.
Let's just say, I did a LOT of writing in July. And I'm not anywhere close to being finished.

ReplyDeleteGood Morning,
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read the series. But what do you do in your spare time? How did you do get started in writing?
Hi Brenda,
DeleteI fight crime in a stretchy outfit that barely covers... no wait... that's the comic I'm reading. :P In my spare time I read and/or watch TV. I got started writing because I wanted to see fantasy books with a black heroine. Not finding any, I decided to write my own. I've never regretted the decision since I love writing.
Thanks for coming out.

Oh WOW! Congrats on finishing this series, Z! I sure do hope they'll make it into a print collection--that would awesome! And I love that you've been doing so much writing because that means lots more reading for us ;)
ReplyDeleteDo you celebrate your releases in any special way? Do you have a special shelf for your own print books? :)

Hi Fedora,
DeleteThanks for the congrats and coming out. I celebrate a release by sending out lots and lots of promotion to people know about it. Other than that, I'm usually working on the next book already so there isn't much time to do anything fancy.
I don't have a special shelf for my print books because I don't have that many print books. I keep them stacked on the top shelf of my bookcase behind my desk so I can look back at them, though. One day I shall have a bookcase full of nothing buy my books. :D
~ Zenobia
That'll be something to look forward to! The rest of us will have to buy more bookshelves so we can have a special case just for you ;)
DeleteCongratulations on the book! Is Hawaii a setting in your books?
ReplyDeletebn100candg(at)hotmail(dot)com
Hi BN,
DeleteHawaii is a setting in LOVE REVERSED. I'm debating using it again since I've been told readers aren't that fond of it as a backdrop. It's a gorgeous locale but most people can't find the time or funds (or want to be stuck on a plane that long) to come out here, so it gets kind of a negative reaction to read about it.
Thanks for coming out.

I have lots of questions but will only ask one .How did your love of story telling affect your own relatships with family, friends ........email address is htompki@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteHi Helene,
DeleteBeyond my hubby being upset that I'm always writing (or doing something related to writing) rather than spending time with him, it hasn't affected that much. My family is supportive and always wants to know when the next book will be out.
Most of my friends are writers or artists. We're the same type of crazy so we get along really well.
Thanks for coming out.

I was wondering Renee/Zenobia, is there a Genre/Sub-Genre that you have not explored yet, but have had the spark of interest in & wanted to try writing that Genre?
I would very much appreciate the opportunity to be considered in your extremely generous giveaway for the Entire Seven Book Collection of your Caveat Emptor Series! Thank You so much!!

Hi Other Renee,
DeleteThanks for all the fan love. I really appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoy my books so much. Fans like you are the reason I keep finishing books. I would write tons regardless since that's for me, but finishing them and getting them published is for the readers so they can enjoy my wackiness too. :D
I am on my way towards Horror Romance. I have a stack of straight horror books I plan to read so I can understand the pacing. Once I've got that down, I will try my best to incorporate a love story without sacrificing either element. Hopefully it'll work. Also, I hope I don't scare anyone too bad... or maybe I do want to scare them bad. We'll see. *eg*.
Thanks again for coming out.

I have not read this series but it does sound interesting. Are you able to write on more than one book at a time?
ReplyDeletelinze_e at hotmail.com
Hi Lindseye,
DeleteThanks for coming out. As a matter of fact, yes I can write on more than one book at a time and usually do. I go where my muse tells me. That means I end taking longer to finish some books but eventually I finish them all.
I'm currently in the middle of two novellas and one novel.
~ Zenobia
Congrats on the release. Are you sad that this series is ending? Also, do you have something new you'll be working on in it's place?
ReplyDeletemythic021@gmail.com
Hi Vanessa,
DeleteThanks for coming out. I'm never sad to end a book. This is my first finished series and these characters were fun, but I'm happy to see the finale out for everyone to enjoy.
I've already submitted five other stories and am working on three more (two novellas and one novel). My muse keeps me hopping. My needs-to-written queue is starting to look like my to-be-read pile, which is huge. Kind of scary but also great to have all those stories waiting for me to get to them. That's better than struggling to get ideas and worrying about what I'll write next.
Thanks for the congrats,
~ Zenobia
Hi again All,
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the release of the Caveat Emptor finale.
The winner of the ENTIRE seven book series is Vanessa N. Congrats! You'll be getting an email from me soon.
I also decided to give one commenter a PDF copy of ETERNAL LOVERS and that goes to BN100. Congrats to you!
Thanks again for coming out!
