Celebrating Stacey Kennedy's New Release

Today at our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Stacey Kennedy's new release SILENT HOWL, the second book in her Blue Bloods Series.

Stacey's novels are light-hearted fantasy with heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again.

Her journey as a writer began as a way to keep her brain alive since being a stay at home mom can sometimes be a little...let's say numbing. It was an escape from screaming kids, dirty diapers and plain old mom duty.

It started as a hobby, but as the stories progressed it became a passion. Now, Stacey indulges at nap time, especially the juicy bits! Every mom needs a good thrill!

SILENT HOWL - The Blue Bloods  - Book Two by Stacey Kennedy

When murder threatens innocent lives, will one woman unleash the wolf within her or hide behind the human that cowers in fear.

Rynn Murphy is a werewolf and she is in a state of bliss - her junkie parents are in recovery for their drug addiction. Her Grandfather, Pops, suffering from Alzheimer's has settled into a nursing home in Utah. And she has just witnessed the bonding ceremony of her friends, Nexi and Kyden from the Otherworld. With her mate, Briggs by her side, life can't get any better...

But this happiness is about to end as Rynn is brought to Philadelphia. As a Blue Blood Werewolf, she has been given a special gift to possess a strong scent. And after horrific murders take place in the Pennsylvania territory, Rynn must use this ability to seek the killer out...

This task does not come easily, Rynn is struggling. The human in her flees from danger. The wolf in her is desperate to end his murderous rampage. Rynn must reconcile these two halves while these murders begin to cross State lines. Soon, danger will be all around them, and Rynn will have to decide what is more important - the human who remains in her or the wolves she has sworn to protect...

  2. I gotta admit...I am totally smitten over the cover!! Anne Cain did an amazing job, as always!!

The Blue Bloods Series is the story of Rynn and Briggs. Rynn is a new werewolf so it's the journey of her settling into her fur, but it's also the experience of seeing their love grow and develop. Add in some danger and it's on heck of an adventure!

  7. Hi, Stacey-

Congrats on release #2 in your series! You're a new to me author and this week and last I've been seeing posts about Silent Howl on various blogs. I love the mystery element in the storyline.

In intro to the Cyber Launch party says your work is light hearted fantasy. Is Silent Howl a light read or a bit darker as the blurb would suggest?

  9. Hey Anne,

Thanks for stopping by!!! With all my books, they have a light edge to them in regards to the characters. There is ALWAYS funny moments in my books because...we all need a good laugh, right?

I write very real women that tend to take things in a humorous manner and deal with matters like most of us would.

But...there is also very dark times in my books, danger, adventure, and mystery. So, expect that too. And also lots of emotion while the characters deal with very real feelings.

I guess it's a bit of both worlds all wrapped up into one book. Oh...and you can't forget the romance. That is just a given!!

    :)

  10. Way to go, Stacey! I can't wait to read it. With all you do being a mom and taking care of everything, how long did it take you to write this?

  11. Hey Greenduckie, (LOVE THAT) LOL!!

This series follows the same characters throughout so it is important that you read them in order. You want to have that emotional connection to the characters and hearing their whole story is a must to fully understand Briggs and Rynn.

    :)

  12. Hi Allie,

You know this series is really easy for me to write. For a couple reasons. The first being that it is a spin off from The Magical Sword so all the world-building is behind me. That is usually what takes most of the time to figure out. And the other being, I am in love with Briggs. LOL! No, I'm not kidding. He is my favourite hero so when I get in his mind I want to stay there forever.

Usually from start to finish a story takes me about a month. I get a few hours every day to write if the kids are in school or at nap time. So, I use that time well!

    Thanks for celebrating with me!!

    :)

  21. Congratulations on your new release! I have heard stay-at-home moms say the hardest part is no adult conversation. I'm glad you found a way to keep your mind in the adult world while raising your kids. They are small for only a short while and it's good you can stay home with them and watch them grow and discover the world.

  22. Yes, Tracey...she is brilliant! One of my favourite cover artists for sure!!

  23. Hi Estella,

I've got four books planned for The Blue Bloods series, but of course...it won't end there. I am planning write a spin-off that will continue with the same characters but the lead hero will be Valor. :)

  24. lcdbtb2060 - I come up with the names by just researching the net. Then, I write a paragraph of the story and put a name in. Usually takes a little bit for me to find the right one, but once it fits...it fits!

  25. She - yes...adult time is a must when being a stay-at-home mom, but it's a job I love!! And yes, being creative is the perfect way to keep that brain of mine sharp!! :)

  26. Congratulations on your new release. Do you have to read the books in order?

  27. Hi Sherry,

Yes...I would recommend that you read them in order. But if The Magical Sword series doesn't interest you. I would suggest that you at least read The Devil's Kiss - The Magical Sword Book Three since that is where Rynn and Brigg's story begins!

Thanks for partying it up with me!! :)

  29. Hey Jessica!

It was all about the characters. When I wrote a little of Briggs and Rynn's life in The Devil's Kiss, I was instantly smitten with them! :)
