Celebrate Jenna Storm's Debut Novel

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of HER LAST KISS by Jenna Storm.  This wonderful paranormal romance is Jenna's very first published novel and the first book in Jenna's The Brethren of Stone Daggers Series!

Jenna Storm grew up in Pennsylvania and moved with her family to sunny Arizona after she graduated high school. She has a B.A. in Fine Arts, drawing and painting but her true love is writing. When not writing, she spends time with her daughters and enjoys reading various mythologies, romance, paranormal and suspense. The more vampires and mythical creatures the better. Throw in gloomy, cold weather, a soul shaking thunderstorm and she’s hooked.

And since, she's such a newbee to the publishing world, it would really make Jenna's day if you'd friend her at facebook and goodreads and follower her blog and twitter!

HER LAST KISS
- Book One of The Brethren of Stone Daggers Series by Jenna Storm

From the dark depths of the Realms, the warrior emerges with one mission. Protect humankind from the daemon’s unquenchable thirst. Fight to the death to save the innocents. No matter the pain or cost, never veer from the mission. One life sacrificed for the good of all.

Geneva Phillips life changes forever when she embarks on a weekend in the Arizona White Mountains to soothe her broken heart. Geneva never realized offering an injured man refuge from a raging storm would plunge her into a dangerous and sensual world. When a bloodthirsty daemon targets Geneva as his next kill, she must rely on the mysterious stranger to keep her alive.

Alek Savakis is an Enforcer for the Brethren of Stone Daggers. His mission is to destroy a rabid daemon loose in the area. His one intent is to kill the daemon and move on, the last thing he needs, or wants, is to find himself stranded with a woman who drives him mad with the need to possess her. As their dark enemy continues to feed on the innocent ones Geneva fears Alek will go to any length to protect mortals even if it means sacrificing her to the daemon.

So, I've read the excerpt and loved it - this series sounds really interesting. Tell us more about it and how the book in the series will fit together. And how many books do you plan for the series?

I hope you're first book flies off the cyber shelves!

  2. Congratulations on your first release! I'm sure you're really excited.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about the Brethren of the Stone. It sounds like they kill daemons, can you give us a little more detail?

  4. Thank you for your support!

I'm working on the next book in the series that takes place in Alaska. The heroine is an Aura and the hero is a daemon. The Aura's are introduced in this first book.

I enjoyed coming up with the Auras special abilities and their history. As of right now, I don't have a specific number for the amount of books in the series. The world of Daemons and Auras is widespread...who knows where it will lead me!

  9. Brethen of the Stone Dagger series sounds good. I love reading series. How do you choose to write a series as opposed to one book? As a reader, do you prefer series to standalones?

  11. Hi and thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all the supportive comments and I hope that Her Last Kiss is enjoyable to readers.

    Tracey,
I think it's a beautiful book cover also and I'm very grateful that the artist did such a wonderful job. I filled out a form with some basic info such as a forest setting because the book takes place in the White Mountains.

    Valerie,
I'm lucky I get to work on my writing a few hours everyday. I'm editing a book for a different series right now and I'm working on the second book in the Brethren series (definitely not at the same time though!).

    Estella,
I had the idea for this series when I was doing some research on gemstones. I love paranormal books so it was a natural progression that my manuscript would involve daemons/demons with some vampire tendencies.

    Elaine,
I would describe Geneva as someone with a good heart, her mind jumps topics so she might seem a little quirky, she's going through a rough time and feeling alone. Alek is powerful in both mind and body, he has a strong sense of right and wrong, and makes it his responsibility to protect the innocents from violent daemons.

As for writing in series...I don't know why but when I'm writing one story my mind spins off more scenarios that usually involve secondary characters either in the book or mentioned by the main characters.

Thanks for the friend request JoAnna! I have a lot of favorite paranormal authors. I enjoy Kresley Cole, Shannon Drake, Lara Adrian, Kathryn Smith, Sherrilyn Kenyon...there are more but I would need to check out my bookcase!

Again, thanks everyone for stopping by!

  14. Hi Sherry,

I always start with an outline and character sheets which helps with plotting the book. This way I figure out early on where I might have a hole in the plot that needs to be fixed.

I have a lot of authors I like. As a matter of fact, I've been on GoodReads adding to my bookshelves.

  15. Hi Sarah,

Thanks for the well wishes! It took me less than a year to write it which might seem like a long time but I was working on another book in between. I've been writing for a few years now.
