Celebrating A New Contemporary Romance From Michel Prince

All day today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Michel Prince's new release with Secret Cravings Publishing!

SILLY GIRL by Michel Prince

Are professional sports just children’s games played by oversized kids?

With an all-consuming focus Matthias Jessup has sacrificed his body in pursuit of greatness. But while he’s enjoyed the spoils of being an elite athlete, the physical punishment can only be held at bay for so long. He knows his time is running out and he will have to face his future soon.

Sylvia Kinder is obsessed with Matthias' public image. But now that her fantasy has walked into her life, could it possibly lead to a happy ending? She worries if there's any place for her in his world, much less his heart.

Drawn to each other on a chance meeting, Matthias must look off the court and discover the real world, while Sylvia will have to find the strength of self to not become lost in a world she doesn’t understand. But those who aren’t ready for a life after the game surround Matthias and are willing to do anything to keep him on the court.

Michel Prince is an author who graduated with a bachelor degree in History and Political Science. Michel writes young adult and adult paranormal romance as well as contemporary romance.

With characters yelling "It's my turn damn it!!!" She tries to explain to them that alas, she can only type a hundred and twenty words a minute and they will have wait their turn. She knows eventually they find their way out of her head and to her fingertips and she looks forward to sharing them with you.

When Michel can suppress the voices in her head she can be found at a scouting event or cheering for her son in a variety of sports. She would like to thank her family for always being in her corner and especially her husband for supporting her every dream and never letting her give up.

Michel is a Pro member of RWA and Midwest Fiction Writers. Currently she lives in the Midwest with her husband, son, cat and new puppy.

  1. Good morning Michel and welcome to AuthorIsland!

Since you're a new author for me, can you tell us more about yourself and about your new release, SILLY GIRL?

Love the prize you have up for grabs today - thanks!

I hope you enjoy your cyber launch party here and on Facebook today! Have fun and here's to SILLY GIRL being your biggest seller yet!!

  2. Hey Michel,
I read the excerpt and look forward to reading the whole book. You asked on your facebook page about athlete crushes and I responded with Michael Phelps. Now that I understand the context of the question better, I feel like a cradle-snatcher! Oops.....

    1. I hope you have fun reading it and it's okay you have every right to like Michael Phelps. I like Derek Rose and my son thinks it weird because he's in his early 20s.

  3. Happy release! Do you have a favorite sport?

    1. I have favorites, Football (American), Basketball, Volleyball, Track, and Gymnastics. I'm a bit of sports nut.

  4. Hi Michel, it's always exciting for me to find new to me authors.

Given your love for sports, did you have trouble deciding upon the sport your characters would play?

    1. Mary, I'm glad you stopped by. Actually no, I feel that the sport and position a person plays dictates their personality. You take Matthias who plays the 4 position in basketball. It's kind of an in between position. Its a power forward. Unlike the 5 which all about muscle and driving to the hole, the 4 is more graceful and has the ability to shoot from the elbow or edge of the court, but also have the ability to drive to the basket as well as work a high/low with another player.

That was probably more than you wanted to know, but with my athletes there is a reason they have the position they do. My other SCP book The Guardian's Heart there are four girls with different positions on a softball team and once you get to know them you can understand why they play where they play.
