Lizzie T. Leaf's magical romantic comedy is now available in print!

When a magical spell by his twin sisters goes wrong, Rand McAlister's life goes to the dogs. As a black scottie, he is taken home to live with the vet, Amanda, whose car hit him during his pursuit of a cat. In Amanda, he discovers the woman of his dreams. But to pursue her he has to get back to his sisters and make them reverse the spell.
Amanda Livingston wishes she could find a man as understanding as the little black dog who listens to her so attentively. Instead, the men who have passed through her life were jerks and maybe she's better off with her dog.

Is there a way to reverse the spell, or is Rand destined to spend his life in the dog house in this magical romantic comedy from Lizzie T Leaf?

  1. Congrats on the new print release Lizzie!!!! I love this story and I'm so glad it's now available in print so it'll be available to those who don't read ebooks.

It's a funny and fantastic story and I am hoping you'll revisit these characters again - any chance of that?

You're also very busy with your Dead Done Right series - when is the new book in that series coming out?

Enjoy your very special day and here's to DOGSPELL reaching a lot more readers now that it's in print!

  2. Thank you. It was a fun story to write. I hadn't planned to do another, but hmmm...never plant ideas in an author's head...grin.

The next book in the Dead Done Right series is slated for late summer/early fall. Have started to make notes for it, but need to get a few projects off the table before I jump in to it completely.

  3. What a great book trailer! This sounds like a really fun story. If it were made into a movie, who would play your hero and heroine?

And I agree about turning this into a series, can't you see those twins getting into more and more trouble??? Off to read the excerpt now....

  4. Goodness, Katie! Hadn't consideref a movie, so will have to give that some thought. Who do you think would be good to play the H&H?

The twins are a handful and can't you see Simma the cat getting his tail all huffed-up over the problems they create...grin.

  7. Thanks, Virginia. I don't have any western romances planned at the moment. About as close as I can come is the hero in the current Cougar Club series I'm working on. He's a NYC attorney whose father's family made it big in ranching and he spent time there as a boy, but still loves the peace and freedom to which he escapes when his career permits.

  8. Delighted you enjoyed Stuck by Lightning, Sherry. Currently, I write contemporary erotic romance and spicy paranormal, which is fun. I'm also working on my first mainstream and have several women's fiction/mainstreams planned.

  18. It's good to read a book that will make you smile. Do you find that the characters sense of humor ever slip into your everyday dialogue?

  19. That's a good question Leni! I often wonder if romantic comedy writers are really funny and outgoing people in person. I've always heard that writing or doing comedy is very difficult.

    What's up next for you?

  20. Hi Leni & Lauri. Thanks for the question. I never viewed myself as funny, and in fact, my feelings got a little hurt when one of my early critique partners keep excusing herself to go get a tissue to wipe her eyes from laughing so hard. When I asked what was so funny, she replied "your writing, it's like you." So I guess some of my personality is there.

On the edits for Dogspell, my editor said it was a delight to work with someone where the humor was natural, not contrived. I'd just received my edits and thought she hated my work. She said that's all stuff we can, fix...natural humor isn't something that I can fix.

Looks like my snarky, smart-mouthed self is a good thing!
