Today we're celebrating Lexxie Couper's new romantic sci fi adventure, THE SUN SWORD!
Lexxie's not a deviant. She just has a deviant's imagination and a desire to entertain readers with her words. Add the two together and you get darkly erotic romances with a twist of horror, sci-fi and the paranormal.
When she's not submerged in the worlds she creates, Lexxie's life revolves around her family, a husband who thinks she's insane, a pony-sized mutt who thinks he's a lapdog, two yabbies hell-bent on destroying their tank and her daughters, who both utterly captured her heart and changed her life forever.

She has the power to bring new life…or utterly destroy it.
Torin Kerridon, the last warrior from an ancient order, is drawn to an abandoned, dying Earth, where he finds a forgotten young woman. A woman forged by the Immortals to wield the ultimate weapon—the Sun Sword. A woman capable of commanding the power of the suns. A woman with no past and no memory, the body of an angel and the spirit of a demon. He will train her. Prepare her.
Hunted all her life, Kala Rei has endured more than one woman should. Sheer grit, and a dangerous skill with a lead pipe, are the key to her survival. But nothing threatens her sense of safety more than dominance-oozing Torin. He wants her, but not for what’s between her legs. For what he believes her to be—some ludicrous savior from some absurd prophecy. No matter…his offer to take her away from Earth is too good to refuse.
But when a savage desire begins to burn between them, both Torin and Kala are in danger—and so are the worlds of man.
Warning: This book contains an ancient prophecy that can’t be denied, a brooding hero tormented by desire, a stubborn woman who hungers for his touch, a villain so vile you’ll want to kill him yourself and sex so hot it’ll melt the suns of the known universes…and then some.

Good morning, Lexxie. Congrats on your new release; I'm sure it will do well.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your opinion on book trailers? Do you think they help in book sales?
Thanks,
Tracey D

Congrats on the new release. Would love a chance to read this.
ReplyDeleteI checked out your website and see you write in a lot of different genres. Which is your favorite to write and whichis your favorite to read.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds really good. If it were a movie who would play the hero and heroine?
Best of luck with the book and I'm so glad I got to find out about you and your work!
Tracey D - I've made quite a few book trailers and sometimes I think they work *grin* I love watching them and for me, they are a great way to pare the plot down to the asolute bare bones. LOL I've actually made more than one trailer before finishing writing the book :)
ReplyDelete" Let's see if we can't get it up to the #1 spot! " LOL Oh, man....wouldn't that be wonderful! *grin*
ReplyDeleteThank you for having me here. Sorry it's taken soo long. Curse this round world of ours, I say. It's early in the morning in Australia and I'm running around getting my girls ready for school. Argh!!!! :)
Anna - definitely paranormal (with a touch of horror, if I can find it). I love the beasties and the mystery of things that go bump in the night....oh, that sounded a little naughty, didn't it ;)
ReplyDeleteTa, muchly, Karen :) I loved writing this book, but damn, did my characters misbehave! They didn't do a thing I told them to :)
ReplyDeleteCJ - my favourite to write.....oh, that's a really tricky one. When I'm writing sci-fi, I'd answer sci-fi, when I'm writing a shifter tale, I'd definitely say shifter *grin* Honestly, it all depends on how my muse takes me at the time. As for reading, I will read just about anything, but I do love reading paranormal/horror romance, if I can find it.
ReplyDeleteCJ - oops, forgot the movie question.... Torin, definitely Gerard Butler (think 300 Gerard Butler, not The Ugly Truth Gerard Butler *grin*) and Kala would be played by Rose Byrne (the Aussie actress who got to seduce Brad Pitt in Troy. She's little and cute and very feisty - perfect for Kala)
ReplyDeleteHi, Lexxie!! Thanks for celebrating Sun Sword's release here!! Do you do anything special to commemorate your launches? Do you have a special shelf devoted to your prints? Framed cover flats? Jewelry? :D Hope you're having a terrific week!

Hi!!
ReplyDeleteWow!! This book looks great! HOT!! I also love that cover!! Congrats on the new release and how well it is doing.
Hi Lexxie, I love your Sanctuary series and am looking forward to reading The Sun Sword. How do you handle keeping up with all the different characters and continuity?
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Lexxie. You are a newly discovered Author for me and I am loving your Excerpts. My question Is there going to be a sequel to the sun sword?
ReplyDeleteLex, if you're reading this, you know I adore you and want to win this book ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe new book sounds great. I have yet to read any of your books but I have one already on my "To Be Purchased" list. Looks like I'm adding another... ( - ;
ReplyDeleteLisa - thank you (although I have to come clean and admit I'm not the author of the Sanctuary series...but I'll bask in your love anyways, if that's ok? *grin*) As for keeping up with everything. I haven't a clue, because I'm the most unorganised person in the world. I pick up a lots of inconsistencies in my editing and thankfully I have the most wonderful and patient editor in the world :)
ReplyDeleteMelanie - Ah, thank you. I love being newly discovered *grin* Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy :) There wasn't going to be a sequel to The Sun Sword until about 12:16am when a title popped into my head - The Sun Sword's Curse. The story is still shrouded in the mist inside my head, but I can feel it itching to get out....
Tez - *smooch*
Crystal - Thank you :) (Can I ask which one you already have on your list? Maybe I can give you some inside info on it *wink*)
Judy - it is a hot cover, isn't it. Don't you just want to lick that tattoo alllll over? :)

I like how feisty Kala Rei is and loved how she knocked him on his ass, and then at one point told him what she would do to a certain part of his anatomy.
ReplyDeleteZina
Lovin this one so far, another add to the TBR for sure. I like the futuristic fiction and of course the erotic ain't bad either...LOL
ReplyDeleteI love your WARNING makes me want this one even more..
Another no winner book?
ReplyDeleteWas there a post sent out telling everyone that you would be putting winners in comments instead of posting the way you were. I don't remember getting anything and think this is unfair.
ReplyDeleteHi Misty and Karen in TN.
ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry about not getting the winners posted as usual, was on vacation without internet access and then had some very serious family issues as soon as I got back that we are trying to deal with now. Am trying to get all our winners posted and notified by the end of the weekend.
