Celebrating A New Release And A New Series For D. Renee Bagby

All day today, we're helping D. Renee Bagby kick off a new series by celebrating her new release!

FAVORED DRAGON'S RELEASE by  D. Renee Bagby

Hidden By Dragons Book One

He wants her for his bride to end the dragons’ curse but his love for her is ruining his plans.

In the aftermath of a senseless war that claimed many lives, the gods have punished the dragons for causing the conflict. The next generation will not hatch until Prince Shurik finds a human female willing to put aside generations of animosity to become his bride.

Yolette goes to sleep on the side of a mountain, the odd woman out on a couples' camping trip, and awakes in a field outside the home of a dragon. Transported to an unknown world very different from her own, she must depend on Shurik for shelter and guidance.

Shurik doesn't anticipate his growing feelings for Yolette, making the task of proposing that much harder. Danger looms from those who want the punishment ended and from those who want it to continue until the last dragon is gone. Shurik must decide whether he will save his people or his love and pray to the gods his choice is the right one.

D. Renee Bagby is a military brat turned military wife who is currently stationed in Hawaii with her husband and two cats.

Whether writing as D. Renee Bagby or Zenobia Renquist, she is a world-builder. She loves inventing new cultures and shaping their histories and laws because it beats researching the existing ones.

Her stories span the fantasy gamut but she dabbles in sci-fi and contemporary from time to time. While her main characters tend to be of different races, she doesn't let skin color rule or limit her stories. For her, it's all about how much she can torture her characters so they earn their happily-ever-after ending.

The rules are all new and pre-conceived notions will only slow you down, so when reading Renee's stories, she asks only one thing -- Leave Your Reality Behind.

    1. Hi Mindy!

The follow up book (there are three in this series) will be take place a few years after the first. Another dragon and another human building a relationship. For that book, the dragon will be a shifter...

And that's all I'm saying about that. :P

    1. When this went live it was waaaaay early morning -- like 4AM. My hubby was just getting up for work and I was just falling asleep. And yes, FAVORED DRAGON'S RELEASE has hit the top 10. It got up to #9 but now it's at #12... on the MF Bestseller list. It's #1 on the Mainstream Bestseller list. :D

I didn't realize I'd had such a huge gap between my DRB books and yes my muse has been hung up on ZenRen for a while. Still is but as soon as I get some books out of my system, I'll be going on to the next Hidden By Dragons book.

      Thanks for hosting me,

      ~ Renee

    1. Hi BN100,

I wish I could have done research for this. I love dragons. Meeting a real one, especially a real version of the ones I wrote, would make my lifetime. That would be absolute heaven.

    1. Hi Marisa,

Thanks for coming out. I usually do all my writing when I first get up so my mind is fresh. Once I get in all the words I can, I switch over to do everything else -- promotion, spending time with the hubby, etc.
