Celebrating Missy Martine's New Release And New Series

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Missy Martine's brand new shifter ménage release and the start of a new 12 part series!

BLIND ACCEPTANCE by Missy Martine

The Wind River Pack

Laynee Conners has been in a school for the blind since her mother died when she was five. Now, her father wants her to come home so he can get his hands on the inheritance her grandfather left her.

David and Eric Rivers are brothers, adopted into the Wind River Pack. They’re called home to Wyoming when their alpha wants to do a head count of all his pack members. Children are disappearing from other packs, and he’s concerned about his family.

The brothers find Laynee in the woods, drugged and left to die. Both their beasts claim the fragile young woman as their mate.

Can a bear and a wolf share a mate?

Time’s running out. They have to convince Laynee she’s theirs before her father succeeds in his plans.

This title is offered at a 15% discount. Offer ends midnight CST, July 11th.

    1. Good morning, Cheryl - My favorite shifters are wolves. They're fierce, beautiful creatures and I think it's exciting to think about a handsome, sexy man changing into one of these magnificent creatures. Wolves have the capacity to be a docile as your family pet, or ferocious in defending their territory. Makes for some great storytelling. Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and good luck in the contest!

    1. Good morning to you, Author Island and thanks for hosting my party today. The Wind River Pack series picks up 25 years after my book "Changing Their Wolfen Heritage" in the "Wolfen Heritage Trilogy". All the original characters (Alpha Remus, Maddie, Michael, Arianne, Ethan, Latan and Kitania) are still there, only now they have grown children who're looking for their own mates and leading complicated lives.

In the original trilogy we defeated the family's worst enemy and things looked rosy, but the good times are about to be challenged. Pups are disappearing from packs all over the northwest and Remus is afraid his pack will be next. This new series is about their struggle to defeat this new foe, and about dangers from the past rearing their ugly heads. Pretty dramatic, huh :)

Blind Acceptance is about Laynee Conners. She's been shut away in a school for the blind since she was five years old, right after her mother died. Now, her father is taking her home, but not because he misses her. She's inherited her grandfather's fortune and daddy dearest wants it for himself.

Two of Ethan and Latan's adopted sons, David and Eric, have been called back to the Wyoming home of the Wind River pack for the Alpha to take a head count and make sure none of his pack is missing. They stumble on Laynee where she's been drugged and left in the woods to die. They can hardly believe it when their beasts both claim the frail young woman is their mate. How can that be? One of them is a bear and one a wolf! The story is a fight against time. Can they convince the young blind girl to accept their claim and join their paranormal life before her father succeeds in his plans to end her life.

As for the 12 books - There have been 16 children added to the pack from the characters already introduced in the first series. Seemed only fair to make sure they all got their stories out there. As for how fast they'll come, difficult to say. They already have rough drafts so it should go quickly, but hubby threw a wrench into the plans when he found a house he wanted and we upped and moved recently. I'm not as young as I used to be and packing, unpacking, decorating and gardening is taking a toll on this poor old body. I am happy to say I'm over half way through the next book - "An Officer and Two Gentlemen" and I've already started the 3rd book - "Her Healing Touch". So, hopefully they're won't be too long a wait between stories.

Thanks so much for the kind wishes, Author Island. You are the greatest!

    1. Hello Rose, my advise to late bloomers would be to never give up. You're not too old to start over, or to introduce a little romance in your life. Good things are just right around the next bend! Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and good luck in the contest.

  6. Hey Missy,
Loved your response to Authorisland. What is the most challenging thing you face as a writer of a new book or series?

    1. Hello Ladybirdrobi - love the name :) In a series, the challenge is to create an underlying story that runs the length of the series, while still having separate romance stories that begin and end in each book. There is a challenge with any book you write to try and capture the reader's interest and still get your story across. Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Ilona, I'm glad you like wolves, but I should prepare you - this series has wolves, bears, coyotes, mountain lions, house cats and a Falcon shifter - quite a variety is descending on the Wyoming mountain where the Wind River Pack reside. Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and I hope you have a great weekend.

  9. Hi bn100 - Yes, I've seen several. There are many wolves in Wyoming, especially around Yellowstone. My hubby and I love taking photo trips where our only purpose is to photograph wild animals. We have lots of interesting shots, one of my favorite being a red fox who tried to get in the car when I wasn't watching :) Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and good luck with the contest.

  11. Hi J Annas Walker, I've always liked reading long, epic stories so I wanted to try something like that with my paranormal shapeshifters. I get 'comfortable' with recurring characters and I like bringing the underlying story a little further along with each book. Thanks for stopping by today and good luck with the contest.
