Celebrating A New EC Release For Veronica Tower

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a new release in Veronica Tower's popular Playtime Series!

CHANGING ROOM by Veronica Tower

Playtime Series Book 3

On their tenth wedding anniversary, Edie and Jack vowed to reinvigorate their sex life and save their marriage through randomly selected fantasies. They’ve each had a turn but now the games are escalating, and Edie and Jack are growing bolder.

Edie’s always wanted Jack to pay a little more personal attention to her. Acting as her personal shopper—picking out clothes to mold her curves, skimming his hands along her skin to check fit—should provide ample opportunity for him to pay attention to every tiny detail. Best of all, they don’t even have to leave the house, or her closet, for the fantasy. But Jack won’t settle for anything less than authentic. Edie better brace herself for Jack’s very personal, and very public, attention.

Veronica Tower was married to her high school sweetheart for five deliriously happy years and ten far less wonderful ones. Now she is taking the time to make up for lost opportunities. In addition to returning to school to pursue a degree in psychology, Veronica has committed herself to fully exploring her fantasies, both in writing and in person…

    1. Thanks, DeNita, it's always great to be at Author Island. Playtime is a series of short stories about a couple who has been married for ten years and discovered that their relationship has been withering away because their crazy hectic lives have stolen the critical private time couples need with each other. Their marriage counselor suggests as part of their therapy that they need to start sleeping together again and to get them communicating (and having sex) she directs them to start acting out each other's fantasies. So the series is more than a bunch of sexy encounters, it's also about a couple re-learning how to express their love and share their lives.

The series has been well-received. Book 2, Masseur, was a Night Owl Top Pick. You can see the review here: http://www.nightowlreviews.com/v5/Reviews/Aiobhan-Belen-reviews-Masseur-by-Veronica-Towers

As for future works, I just finished the first round of edits on my new science fiction series, Jewel, also with Ellora's Cave and am working on drafts of the fourth book of the Playtime series and a short New Year's Eve romance.

      Thanks for hosting me!

  2. I loved your last Playtime release. Not enough romances featuring a married couple. Kudos!

    1. Thanks Beckie, writing about new love is fun and it can be inspirational, but it's also very different than "mature" love. Somewhere in a long term relationship we get comfortable and a lot of the urgency seems to disappear. I think of it as "Life Intervening". It doesn't mean we're not still in love. In fact, our love for our partners is often stronger at this point but the passion that fuels and inspires us often ebbs at the same time. I'm very interested in how people cultivate long term love and keep the passion burning in their relationships. That's what led to this series and I hope it will show up in future books as well.

    1. Book titles are tough. I often change them several times in the course of writing, searching for that word or three that will perfectly capture what my story is about. A good editor will also weigh in on the subject and help.

    1. Playtime has been a lot of fun to write and I've been touched by the positive response to the series. I hope you enjoy it.

My next book from Ellora's Cave should be my sexy science fiction novel, Jewel, which will start a new series for me. Jewel is running away from an arranged marriage, hiding out by working on a tramp freighter on the Fringe, when she meets a very sexy executive officer and gets herself into a galaxy worth of trouble.

This summer, Red Rose Publishing, is going to release a series of short Hot Summer Teases of mine called Daydreams, about what happens when a divorced woman and the young man who cuts her lawn discover that they've both been having fantasies about each other. It's a lot of hot fun.
