Thanks for hosting me at Author Island Today. The Pembroke Steel series are short mysteries (sometimes with a paranormal element) set in the 1920s. Overboard is the sixth story in the series, but it's complete in itself if you just want to jump in and see what the stories are about.
DeleteOverboard is about the wealthy son of a steel tycoon who has been under tremendous pressure from his family to make a marriage advantageous to the family fortune. He's been maneuvered into taking a trip to England with his prospective bride and her parents and he's not happy about it. He likes his life as it is. But much to his surprise he discovers that he likes his prospective bride even more and she seems to like him as well. The problem is that there are other people who have designs on the woman and they are willing to kill to keep Mitch and her apart.
Sounds intriguing. Have you been on a cruise?

No, unfortunately I haven't been on a cruise yet (although with all the problems cruise lines have been having lately, maybe that isn't a bad thing). But there is a lot of literature about the great passenger liners and it was fun to research. I hope you'll give Overboard a try.
