Stacey Kennedy's New Release Kicks Off A New Paranormal Series

Today at our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of BLESS THE BEAUTY, the first book in Stacey Kennedy's  new Special Agent Fang Series.

Stacey's novels are light-hearted fantasy with heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again.

Her journey as a writer began as a way to keep her brain alive since being a stay at home mom can sometimes be a little...let's say numbing. It was an escape from screaming kids, dirty diapers and plain old mom duty.

It started as a hobby, but as the stories progressed it became a passion. Now, Stacey indulges at nap time, especially the juicy bits! Every mom needs a good thrill!

  1. Happy Release Day Stacey!!!

You have got quite a lot going on there lady!!

First of all, tell us about this new series and heroine you have, Hadley Sloan - will the series follow Hadley or will there be different character taking their own stories?

What's the rules for your vampire world?

I loved the excerpt and can't wait to read more! Hope it's your bestseller yet!

  2. Stacey this book sounds awesome. I love that the heroine's past comes back to haunt her. Serial killers, ex-husband, vampires! This sounds like such an exciting story! Congratulations on yet another new release!

  3. Congrats Stacey!

My question isn't one of your book(s), but rather . . How do you keep going!?!?! You do so much, on top of being a wife and mom . . Where does all your energy come from?

  4. Hi!!! Love Cyber Parties!!! WOOT!

This series follows Special Agent, Hadley Sloan. Each book will be written in her point of view. But she's got two hunky men to deal with. One vampire, Kellen and another mortal, Chase.

Not only does that have her busy, but she's an interrogator with the FBI and needs to find two missing women.

Problem is vampires have rules. Now that Kellen has returned in her life she needs to follow the rules set out by the Mistress' or all their lives are at risk. Rules that mean Chase needs to be claimed as their consort.

But Hadley enjoys living by mortal rules and tries to follow them. Needless to say she's conflicted. She's got a job to do, but she won't risk the lives of the men she loves. And so she sets out on a journey to not upset the Mistress, break a serial killers mind, settle the relationships in her life and find the missing women before it's too late!

    A fun sexy ride!!! :)

  5. Hello!! Congrats on your new relases. I would like to know how you got started writing a m/m romance? Thanks!

  6. Hi Stacie - Thanks!! This book was SO FUN to write! I really love my vampires and the rules set out for them. Hadley made a short appearance in The Devil's Kiss - The Magical Sword Book Three. I knew the second I wrote her character in that book she'd get her own series. :)

Stephanie - Good question! I get 3 days a week where my mornings are free to myself. A lot of writing time!! And I love it. That's the simplest answer. As much as the readers enjoy it, I do too! It's not hard to work hard at something you love to do!

  7. Hi Lynn!!

Actually, the m/m story Takedown came to me after I wrote a story for Decadent's 1NightStand line, Forever Bound. My editor told me about the new m/m line they are starting and asked if I was interested in writing a story for it. I thought, why not?! LOL!

It wasn't something planned, just kind of fell into my lap. After that I got the brainstorming cap on and TAKEDOWN was born. It's HOT! Way HOT!! LOL!

  8. I have to admit when I first read the title, I pictured a cat shifter type hero/ine. Sounds interesting especially with the possible love triangle...unless a menage is in the works???

  9. Hi Anne!

Ooo...cat shifter! Neat! But nope, it's a vampire romance. The title is worked into the story and will make sense when you've reached "the end". And yes, this is a menage novel. A molten title with Liquid Silver...so expect HEAT! :)

  10. This is awesome! I love the new series already and I haven't even read it. I think it's going to be a wild ride!

Hmmm...question...Oh, yes, can I be you when I grow up? I'm plotting two of my own series while writing a single title, but look at you! You are rocking the new releases! Congrats Stacey!! (lots of exclamation points, huh:-))Seriously though, a couple of questions I do have is how do you see yourself - plotter or not? How do you keep up with the plot threads for your series? Onenote, sticky notes, white board, magical influences from Zia and Nexi??;-)

Congratulations on your new release, Stacey!*hugs* :-)

  11. LOL Talina!! You know, I actually don't plot. EVER! I'm a panster all the way. I sit down and start writer and let the story take me wherever it wants to go. For the first six chapters or so I have no idea what's going to happen and not until the middle mark do I see more of what needs to happen in the plot. I'm only lucky by the end it all makes sense! LOL! And good luck with yours! :)

  12. Wow, this looks really good. I love vampires and put into the mix a jealous vampire husband and I'm sold! Definitely going on the wishlist.
Stacey, do you find it hard writing so many different series? How are you able to keep track?

  14. Congrats on your new release, read the excerpt and loved it. Hadley seems like a interesting character, a vampire that enjoys living by mortal rules.

  15. Danielle - No I don't find it hard at all writing so many series, because the characters are so different. Once the character is fleshed out...they become so real it's impossible tom ix them up! But I will tell you that when I'm writing new stories where names are similar to I sometimes write the wrong name. LOL! That can get annoying when I come across it and say, "hey, you don't belong in this story."

Ashley - I have an overactive muse. My ideas usually come for the story I'm working on. I'll meet a character who deserves their own book, or a scene will make me think of another idea for another book. My muse exhausts me! LOL!

Jean - Exactly!! She tries to fight to conform to mortal rules...but in this book you'll see her struggles to do that. :)

  16. Sounds like a great new series! What are you working on now? Do you bounce between several different stories or stick to one until it's finished?

  17. Sarah - Right now I'm working on A WARRIOR'S WITCH. It's a single title spin-off from THE MAGICAL SWORD series. I'm half done so hoping to wrap it up in the next few weeks or so. I've got 7...yes 7...work-in-progresses on my desktop right now. I usually write the scene that is killing me to write and then I leave it and work on one project at a time. :)

  18. I'm just amazed at how many books you are able to write - and how quickly! There are so many big name authors who only seem to be able to put out 1 book a year. It always drives me nuts to have to wait a whole year to read the next book in the series, lol... I definitely can't wait to read this book. I also can't wait for Takedown - when does that book come out?

I just wanted to say that the covers for your books are great and was wondering if you come up with the ideas for the covers or do you let the cover artist come up with it based on your suggestions?

  24. Happy Release Day. Special Agent Fang: love this. It's so clever & appropriate. It's all there.

  25. Tisha - I think with most authors the wait time isn't on their end...its the publishers who set the rate the books come out. But I agree...I hate waiting too!

elaing8 and Estelle - There will be three for sure. I know what's going to happen in the next book...but the 3rd is still up in there since I don't plot out my books. So, you never know there could be four by the end of it.

Sherry - I only write and read in genres that I love, paranormal romance/urban fantasy and erotic romance. Any genre that doesn't fall into those categories would be hard for me to write! LOL! I'm trying my hand at my first contemporary romance and am loving it!!

    Aw, thanks Tracey D.

Cathy - I actually picked all the models for this cover because they fit the characters so well. You're always allowed to give your input on what you'd like and then the artist is the one who pulls it all together. I'm in love with this cover! Amanda Kelsey did it and she ROCKS!

Thanks Marybelle! I loved it too when it popped into my mind! LOL!

  27. This looks like an awesome book. My question is what made you decide to set it in Wisconsin. Why Milwaukee?

    Thanks

  28. Sheri - That's a really great question. Whenever I look for a setting for a story I just play around on the internet to read about different cities. Since I've never been there before I look at TONS of pictures and try to imagine my story being there. Milwaukee felt right...that's the only way I can explain it. :)

  29. She - It's a journey for Hadley there is no doubt about that! :)
