Celebrating Erin Nicholas' New Romantic Comedy With Samhain Publishing

Today, on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we are celebrating the release of a new romantic comedy from Erin Nicholas called ANYTHING YOU WANT

Erin has been reading romance since her mom first let her into her book cupboard when Erin was about fourteen. LaVyrle Spencer, Julie Garwood, Debbie Macomber... they took Erin's 'happily ever after' ideas from animated princesses to real people in the real world.

She's been writing romance almost as long. Many a family car trip was spent with her head bent over a spiral notebook in the back seat. She'll confess that her very first attempts at fiction were fantasy and paranormals, influenced by her father's love of the Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the original Alice in Wonderland. If Harry Potter had been around, Erin's sure he would have been on the bedtime story shelf as well.

But it wasn't long until Erin started writing about true love and that's where she's been ever since.

She's so thrilled to be able to share these stories with you and hopes that they make you smile, sigh, maybe even choke up a little. Most of all, She hopes that they help you believe in magical things like first kisses, the spark of passion, and the power of true love.

Erin loves to hear from readers! Please write her at Erin@ErinNicholas.com

ANYTHING YOU WANT by Erin Nicholas

Suppose the solution to all your problems is the one thing you never wanted...

It figures the one time Sabrina Cassidy is determined to do the responsible thing, karma kicks in. After four years on the road chasing her musical dream, she's stranded six hours from home with no money, a ruined credit history - and morning sickness.

Out of options, she swallows her legendary independent streak and calls the only person who won't hang up on her. Luke, the man she left behind.

Marc Sterling's first instinct is to protect his business partner and best friend from another broken heart. That means letting her think she's talking to Luke, then finding a way to send her in the opposite direction.

When he shows up at her hotel room, there's something in the air beside their customary insults. Sure, her rebellious attitude, smart mouth - and purple panties - still drive him crazy, but now it's a different kind of crazy. The kind that has him driving her home instead of to the nearest airport.

And when Luke offers to solve all her problems if she'll only say "I do", Marc realizes he's just crazy enough - about her - to forget whose heart he wanted to protect.

Warning: Contains two people who don't like each other very much, a Toyota that can't quite handle the road trip home, and a spontaneous proposal. Or two. Or three. And foreplay with - what else - pie filling.

  1. Good morning Erin and Happy Release Day!!!

Your new book sounds great! It sounds funny and touching and very romantic. What can you tell us about it without blowing the ending?

Is this a stand-alone or will it be part of another series for you?

Hope it's your biggest seller yet!

  4. Darn, I was going to ask if this story is part of a planned series? My other question is, what made you decide to write a love story about two people who hate each other? I have read books about couples that spar and rub each other the wrong way but end up in love. This story sounds like maybe the feelings run deeper. Thanks for the contest and the blurb. I always love finding new authors.

  10. Hello Erin!

I love romances that start with the couple disliking each other. I enjoy the tension and bickering along the way to them falling in love. I am also intrigued by the pie filling teaser. LOL Congratulations on your new release!

  18. Hi Everyone!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I love answering questions (so much more interesting than me just blah-blah-blah-ing) so here we go!
What I can tell you without blowing the ending is... sometimes you really can have it all :)
As for other books-- as a matter of fact I'm finishing up a book that will follow this one with characters you meet and get to know pretty well in AYW. But I think it's just going to be two books. Though you never know...
As for my favorite scene-- honestly, the pie filling scene was pretty fun! *g* because it surprised me too! I didn't know they were going to start a food fight first!
And yes, their dislike of each other is a little deeper than just general annoyance. Sabrina and Marc have known each other for a long time and the main source of their conflict is their mutual friend Luke-- who's ben in love with Sabrina for years. Yep, he's the third corner in our love triangle! ;)
I do love to jump into the next book. In fact, I usually have at least a couple "in the works" all the time. So even by the time I submitted this one for initial consideration, I had the next underway.
Love the question about what I like best about these two! For me, I love the fact that Marc is hesitant to get involved but can't help caring and being protective of her. Sabrina is one of my favorite heroines because she's this person who looks at her mistakes and bad decisions as learning experiences. She doesn't hesitate to jump into new things and challenges. She's much braver than me! :)
Paranormal huh? Well, maybe! I've read paranormal/ fantasy (both romance and non) for a long time and love it! Again, you never know!
Robin, *I* think there's humor in my books! *G* Yes, there are funny parts and I love including that. Hope you find that to be true too ;)
How long does it take me to write a book? Well, that's an interesting question :) Yes, they're all a little different and if you're talking full first draft then about two months. If you're talking about completely polished and "perfect" (ha!) then probably more like four. Depends on how cooperative the characters are being! (This one, they didn't cooperate AT ALL!)
And as for covers-- I really love this one too! Probably this one or the one for Just Like That are my favorites-- but the Samhain art dept does a fantastic job always!
Whew! Thanks for the questions all! Keep 'em coming!

  20. Hi Erin, happy release day! I love a good romantic comedy and I will have to check this one out. I am sorry to say I have not read your books before but I think that is going to have to change. Thanks for sharing with us today.

  21. Hi, Erin! Happy release day--I have to say I do love a story that starts out with some NOT-love :) It's always fun to see how the characters change and grow and how their relationship changes along with them!
Plus I really like those sort of reluctant heroes--ones who are dragged to their destiny, kicking and screaming ;)

Sounds like Marc and Sabrina have an awfully interesting journey ;)

Doing anything special to commemorate this release?

  24. Thanks for coming over ladies!
Virginia, I hope you'll take a chance on this book and let me know what you think!
As for where the idea came from-- I "met" Sabrina first. While driving alone on a long, deserted highway like she finds herself on in the beginning of the book. A lot of "what ifs" got me going! :)

  28. Hi smiles! Do I have trouble with my plots? HA! Do I ever! Usually it's because my characters take off in a direction I didn't anticipate! (usually it's fun... but not always!)
Debby, Thanks!! I love the cover too! Yes, I have input into my covers but I'll be honest-- I didn't change anything but the color behind the title on this one. They really nailed it first time out!
