Celebrating The Release of Liia Ann White's Debut Romance

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of ELORA'S MATCH, Liia Ann White's debut paranormal romance with Silver Publishing.

Liia Ann White's first name is pronounced "Lee-Ah" - a bit odd and unique, but she thinks it suits her just fine. Liia is a regular 25 year old Aussie, born and raised in Perth, Western Australia - the best city in the world according to her.

Liia loves all things paranormal and spent her childhood and teen years watching shows like 'Unsolved Mysteries' and reading books on witchcraft, fairies, demons, ghosts, banshees, succubi and mutants - yes, she LOVES X-Men!

She first started writing when she was 15 and had her first short story published. After taking a break from writing, she's found her rhythm again and can't imagine life without it. Now she writes more than ever and loves it!

Liia is a complete geek, if she's not writing, she'll be reading, playing video games or spending time with her adorable doggies. She loves all things Disney and Star Wars. She's a big animal lover and activist, vegan (although she tries not to preach) and total greenie.

Currently, she lives in Perth with her family, which includes two adorable dogs, two birds and a handful of feisty fish. She's always interested in meeting new people, so drop her a line at her facebook page or twitter.

Liia is a member of Romance Writers of America, Romance Writers of Australia, Passionate Ink and Young Adult Chapter of Romance Writers of America.

  1. Hey Hey Hey!!! Happy Release Day Liia!!!

How exciting to be able to celebrate your first book release with you today!!!

I loved the excerpt for ELORA'S MATCH and can't wait to read it.

Tell us about your new book and about The Different Saga - how many books do you plan for it and how will they connect?

And most importantly, how long do we have to wait fot the next one? :)

Enjoy your very special day and I hope ELORA'S CAVE is a HUGE bestseller for you!

  2. Hello Liia!
Congratulations on your new book! I read the excerpt and I have serious doubts that the people that raised Elora were her parents.

I have a ton of questions about this story. Were they guardians or kidnappers? Why did they disappear etc. Of course you can't answer my questions because it would ruin the story! I am very curious as to why Elora is so important. It sounds like an exciting read!

  4. For Elora's Match, I've created a new race of supernatural beings. They live longer than humans, have incredible beauty, strength and supernatural abilities. They're known as 'The Difference' or, singularly, Different.
Elora is an incredibly powerful 'Different' one. After her parents disappeared, she began travelling the world, trying to find out what happened to them. This journey leaves her empty, inhuman and having no thoughts or cares for others, except her best friend Caleb.
She moves to a permanent home to lead as human a life as they can. Elora has a series of visions of a mystery man, cue Kadin (who's totally hot btw) and her life feels complete.
She then has to deal with a demon Elder trying to capture her and steal her powers.
It's got romance, drama, supernatural fights and hot characters; what more could you want?

The Different Saga will follow Elora. I've already got the next 4 books planned out! As long as she tells me a good story, I'll keep writing about her.
I'm working on the sequel currently, and hopefully that'll be out in no time ;-)

  5. Hi Stacie,
    Thanks for dropping by!
Elora is the most powerful being of her kind in known history. It may sound like a cliche, but you'll find her to be a very different heroine.

  8. Thanks so much Sharon! :-) I really appreciate it.

Estella, thanks for coming. When Reese the cover artist sent me the cover mock-up, I couldn't have been happier. The only thing I changed was the colour of the title! The cover was exactly what I'd asked. Reese is a great artist.

  11. Elora's Match sounds good. I noticed in your posting that you are a vegan. I'm not but I did enjoy the opportunity at my local book store (closed now, unfortunately) of joining a vegan cook book potluck club. We'd all choose a different recipe from the same cook book, make it, then bring it to share and talk about the cook book (good, bad, indifferent, etc). When did you choose to be vegan? Have you found any cook books that you find particularly useful? I always like Sarah Kramer's vegan cook books. You could usually find most the of ingredients easily. Supermarket Vegan was another great cook book. All the ingredients were in the local supermarket. Congratulations on your release!

  12. Liia Congrats on your first release hunny! I am so happy to be here to celebrate with you today!
I plan on reading Elora's Match so I have no question about the book itself...well maybe after I read it I will... but I do want to know one thing...
When you are on your fiftieth release do you think the same feeling of euphoria will be present? And yes, I do think that day will come for you. Perhaps sooner then you expect.

You are a brilliant writer and I just know this new race of yours is going to take off into one heck of a series. I for one look quite forward to reading them all!
Blessed be my sweet. Way to go!

    *kisses*

  14. Hi Marybelle! Nice to see a fellow Aussie here :-) Thanks for coming! I love Perth, I'll never leave. I've travelled a lot and there really is no place like Oz.

Hi She, I've been vegan for a little over a year, vegetarian for a year before that. I follow The Kind Life book - Alicia Silverstone wrote it and it's fantastic. A great way of life, really.

Hi Gina! Thanks so much for your sweet words! :-) I think when (hopefully) I make it to my fifteenth I'l be just as excited as I am today honestly. If I ever start taking things for granted I'll need you to yell at me lol x

Hey April, thanks for coming today! I come up with most of my ideas from dreams. Elora hassled me for a few weeks, constantly popping up in dreams and nightmares, she still does, wanting her story to be told. I hope she doesn't stop for a long time :-)
