Celebrating A New M/M Story In Cheryl Dragon's Raider's Bodyguards Series

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a new release in Cheryl Dragon's  Raider's Bodyguards Series with Resplendence Publishing, a hot M/M called BACKING BRIAN.

A lover of unusual things, Cheryl Dragon enjoys writing unique stories with sinfully hot erotic romance or suspenseful mainstream paranormals. Never at a loss for ideas, there are plenty of stories in her brain waiting to be written. Her two favorites book settings are Las Vegas and New Orleans...where anything can happen!

Cheryl lives in the Chicagoland area with her deaf albino cat. By day she crunches & analyzes numbers as an Assistant Controller for a division of a large international conglomerate which leaves the creative juices free for her erotic romance and paranormal suspense novels.

BACKING BRIAN - A Raider's Bodyguards Tale by Cheryl Dragon

Once a Texan, always a Texan and Brian Beaumont has come back home to open his high-end western wear shop. Not everyone is thrilled with the gay son of a Texas millionaire opening a clothing store. Lucky for Brian, his new brother-in-law sends protection from Raider's Bodyguard Service. If only Brian could resist the hunky muscled Texas native assigned to guard his body day and night.

Jones never wanted to go back to Texas. He left at eighteen for many reasons, but his career is more important than the demons of his past. Always a professional, he meets his match in the tempting Brian. The line between business and pleasure vanishes when their mutual love of sex, rope and power play takes over.

  1. I'm so glad to see that Brian has a book telling his story. This character jumped out at me when I first saw him in the excerpt for Pushing Penny. Now I can read both books back to back.
    Congratulations on the release.

I enjoyed the excerpt, not only did it make me want to read Backing Brian, but also to read Penny's story.

  15. Genre stuff...

    Interesting questions....

For me, menage is probably my strongest seller. I can't explain why but it seems to be what readers like best from me.

Writing M/M, I started writing it a while back. I sprinkled it in with the other genres I write. Too much m/m and I get testosterone overload:) I need balance...but I have several m/m titles. two men together is hot and when the right characters show up...it works.

F/F...I actually have one out. It's called Sorority Girl Pledge Time and it was released by Loose Id. It recently got picked up on a listmania list at Amazon which is great! It's available and ARe, Fictionwise, and so on....

Cowboys...I think cowboys are hot because its a physical job. even though these two don't make their living on the range, they do rope and ride like the Texas natives they are. it's also the attitude, the loner style, and the leather and rope!!!

  16. Playlist? No...I'm not one to listen to music while I write. I use TV as background noies and I normally get so into the story I just tune it out.

  17. Raider's Bodyguard Service Series...

Backing Brian is book 3. For those of you eager to check out Penny, her story is out and available at ARe, Fictionwise, Amazon,etc...

The premise is simple, a family named Raider owns a bodyguard service. They are the best! The bodyguards really get into their work and tend to dominate their charges. Luckily everyone ends up and happy and satisfied in the end.

Book one is Andrea's story...this spoiled rich girl does things her way. But her Raider knows just how to win her over.

Book two is Penny's story, Andrea's college friend. This BBW is not used to such male attention but she's eager to please and explore.

Book three is Brian...and Book four will be out in May. Doubling on Denise is a m/f/m menage about Andrea's cousin out in California.

All are LIGHT BDSM...I don't do hardcore so please don't let Andrea's cover scare you off. The paddling looks a little stronger. Her man isn't overly rough...no worries there! She must just have some really sensitive skin:)

Beyond those four, I'm not sure far the series will go. It all depends on teh readers.

    thanks!!
    Cheryl

  19. Congrats on your new release Cheryl! Looks and sounds awesome. I love the cover!

How do you come up with the names of the characters? Do they take after people in real life that you know? What made you choose Texas as the scene? How did you do the research (personal, interviews, books, newspapers, ect.)?
