EMERALD DUNGEON - A story in the 1-800-DOM-help series by Kathy Kulig

Dana's summer job as a musician in an Irish castle takes an adventurous turn after she witnesses a BDSM scene in the dungeon, and her submissive side awakens. Jack is a sexy Dominant who recognizes the sub smoldering beneath her demure exterior. His skillful commands take Dana beyond her darkest erotic fantasies.

Whips, restraints and increasing levels of pain heighten her passion, but complete surrender and ecstasy are out of her reach. Secrets and strange events around the castle only add to the couple's troubles. Will a summer affair be enough to find what they both need? The appearance of a mysterious business card may help guide them. If Dana can accept Jack with complete trust and surrender, then ultimate pleasure and true love are possible.

  4. Congratulations on the release.

Setting a BDSM book in an Irish castle's dungeon is a great, atmospheric setting choice. Why/how did you come up with it?

  6. Hello Kathy!

Congratulations on your new release! Your EC bio lists so many accomplishments and hobbies. How on earth do you find time to write?

I read the excerpt on the EC website. Wow that is some way for her to meet the Dom! I think it is very fitting to have the BDSM take place in an actual castle dungeon. How often does that really happen? LOL

I think The Emerald Dungeon sounds exciting!

  9. Kathy, this sounds quite a very exciting read! Do you have any more for this series planned? Or any others set in Ireland? ;)

I love the sounds of Desert of the Damned, should I be so fortunate!

  10. Hi DeNita, thanks so much for having me today. This was a fun book to write and I love being a part of the 1-800domhelp series. They have a number of great stories. I don't have computer access here at work so I can go into detail later. Tough typing on a phone lol. Yes there is a mysterious side to the story. Strange things are happening in and around the castle and Dana isn't sure if she's in the middle of something evil.

  14. Hi Elizabeth, I answered a number of questions for Delphine Dryden (who made the book trailer). I gave her an idea what I wanted but let her have at it with the video. She did a fab job.

Hey Amber, Thanks so much for stopping by to help me celebrate. :) Love your books too.

Anne, Thank you. I took a trip to Ireland last fall & visited Bunratty castle. I have a pic of that castle up on my blog. http://www.kathykulig.blogspot.com

Hi Mary, Thanks so much. That's so sweet of you. My books are on my website or at the Ellora's Cave site.

  15. Hi, Kathy.

You're a new author for me but not for long!

How much influence did you have in creating this book cover?

    Thanks,

  16. Stacie, Hi and thanks! Time to write? Ha! Whenever I can squeeze it in bec. I have a day job. Evenings and weekends mostly. I don't watch much TV. As to how often BDSM scenes occur in castle dungeons in real life? Who knows? :) This story is all fiction.

Hi Sarah, Thank you. Good question about the say on covers. We always fill out a cover request form and have to give details about characters, setting, mood, blurb, etc. You can request specific things but it's not always possible. EC does a fab job on their covers.

Carla, Thanks so much. I like to think it's Hawt. :) Love those green shoes.

Flchen1, I'd love to set other books in Ireland, or even in the same castle if this story is popular. Desert of the Damned is a good choice-my demon/shapeshifter series.

  17. Hi Jean P, it's hard not to add a little mystery when a castle is almost 600 years old. :)

Lindseye, Thanks. I too, enjoy trying to figure out mysteries while reading. Enjoy!

Hi Elaing8, Thanks. Wow, good question. I like different scenes for different reasons so it's hard to give a favorite. The dungeon scenes were fun and each showed a different aspect of a BDSM relationship. The scene in the club was v. hot and emotional too. Quite different than the dungeon.

Hi Booklover, I mentioned the book cover before. Gotta fill out a form for the art dept. I've been very lucky with my covers. The key is to fill out the forms completely and hand them in on time. :) I leave the artistic stuff to the artists.

  18. Congrats on the release of your new book.

What kind of research did you have to do for this book?

Would love to have a copy of Seducing the Stones if I win.

  19. Hi Estella, Spending time in Ireland helped with the setting. I did some research on harp playing-not that there was much needed in the story. But I did quite a bit on the BDSM, namely a Dom/sub relationship. I read a number of books in addition to books I had read in the past like "Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns" also a number of fiction books in that genre.

  20. I love the 1-800-DOM-HELP. That's great! I see that others have asked about the trailer and the cover, so I won't repeat. When you sat down to write this book, did you envision the book you ended up with or did it form itself as you wrote it? BTW, I think the concept sounds great.
