Celebrating A Hot New Adventure Romance From Robin Leigh Miller

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog we are celebrating Robin Leigh Miller's new Ellora's Cave Aeon release MARAUDER.

Robin resides in central Pennsylvania with her husband, three children, German Shepard Tae' and mutt hound Bailey. She now lives a quiet, subdued life in comparison to her younger years of dirt track racing in stock cars. An adrenaline junky, these days she enjoys putting her characters through their paces.

Action, adventure and a touch of paranormal can be found in her books. "Enter a world where anything can happen...and usually does" is her motto and reflects her writing style. Sometime the mundane can become insane. Take a walk on the wild side and join her heroins as they muttle through the twists and turns life throws at them. And of course, there's always the hunky guy to catch them when they fall.

MARAUDER by Robin Leigh Miller

Nothing mattered in Evan Duvall's life as much as his sexy, timid Priscilla. Her touch could destroy and resurrect with one feathery stroke. Pleasure was all they could give each other - and Priscilla gave freely. Her presumed death annihilated Evan and brought to life Strafe, the notorious road pirate.

After years of loneliness, Strafe finds Priscilla alive - and changed. She's feisty, independent and sensual as hell. She may be wary of the new Strafe but her body responds with a hungry need he finds impossible to ignore. Waiting for her capitulation becomes torture, so he begins a series of inventive, erotic teasing sessions that keep her in a constant state of arousal.

But to properly care for Priscilla, as well as those who've come to depend on him, the pirate must strike again.

Congratulations on your new release. Loved the blurb and the cover. That is a truly great cover.

I went to your blog and checked out some of your other stories. Love the cover for Country Loving too. And I agree with you about that self-pubbed author and her meltdown. Oy.

  3. Good morning everyone! Thanks for stopping by to celebrate my new release Marauder and special thanks to DeNita for helping me promote my latest release.

Marauder came about when Ellora's Cave called for submissions for a pirate themed short story for their Ahoy! series.

My mind quickly went the path of futuristic pirates. Not too far into the future, but only about twenty years or so. With the way the world is going these days I pictured a country not progressing, but falling apart because of greed, taking several steps backwards actually.

I invisioned money no longer being the way you obtained the necessities needed to exist outside the cities where the rich and greedy thrive. So how do you cloth yourself and eat? You trade or take what you need.

Enter my version of pirates. Add in a menacing bad ass black rig driven by a man who'd lost the only thing in his life he considered valuable and you have Strafe the road pirate.

His once open heart is now shriveled and withered and he decides to gain revenge for his loss at the hands of the greedy. The best way to do that, take away from the cities by hijacking their trucks full of food, clothing, medicins and anything else they carry.

Running a cargo truck off the road in the dead of night reveals the woman he loved, Priscilla, was still alive and Strafe decideds to add her to his crew.

Priscilla is shockd to find Strafe alive and changed. Then again, she's changed as well. Strafe has to convince her to stay with him willininly, but he will keep her either way. His erotic methods of convincing her to stay keep Priscilla on a sexual tight rope.

It was fun writing this story and here's a secret. I blew away two rough drafts before fine tuning Strafe and Priscilla. Once I got them just the way I wanted, the story flowed like a breeze.

I hope you like my version of pirates and again, thanks for stopping by.

  4. Hey Stacie! I LOVE the cover of Marauder. I think the rig adds a little something to it, of course that sculpted chest and six pack aren't hard to look at either.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and the launch party.

I'm working on a couple different things right now. One is about an organization charged with the task of protecting what they call psy's, people with special unexplained abilities. The other is a about a female race car driver who's being influenced by the ghost of a dead driver.

  17. Sounds good. How difficult was it to keep Priscilla from falling back into her previous actions/activities with Strafe? Did you make a list of characteristics for Priscilla pre-death vs. post-death?

  18. Estella:
    Thank you for stopping by?

    She:
I guess you could say I have a list. My outline includes everything about my characters, even some things that don't always make it into the story.
    Thanks for checking in.

  20. Good morning Debby:
I'm delighted you enjoy my work, that's what's all about for me, entertaining people. At this point this won't be a series, just part of Ellora's Cave series written by many different authors. There will be more pirate stories releasing in June. I got lucky and was chosen for early release.
