Celebrating A Hot New Paranormal Romance From Sam Cheever

Today on our Cyber LaunchParty Blog we're celebrating the release of DREAM LOVER, a hot new paranormal/fantasy romance from Sam Cheever.

Sam writes fast paced fantasy and romantic fiction with feisty characters who deal with life's little challenges in unique and often hilarious ways. As a reader Sam is very impatient. She quickly loses interest if a story doesn't have a good pace and snappy dialogue. Sam's inability to focus in a backwash of human angst and subtleties works out well for her readers, since she writes the way she likes to read.

In her real life, Sam lives on a hobby farm in Indiana with 10 dogs, 4 horses, 2 barn cats, 2 daughters, and one husband. Not necessarily in that order.

  1. What a great week for you aye??

Glad we could celebrate another release for you this week - Dream Lover sounds fantastic - sexy, suspenseful and magical! Doesn't get much better than that!

Tell us all about this book and will we be seeing these characters again?

Best of luck with the book - hope it's your biggest seller yet!

  2. Hey DeNita!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for finding time on your very busy schedule to help me scream about this book! #:0) Dream Lover has been an unfulfilled promise for a couple of years, while I worked my way through several other books I needed to write. I'm so pleased to finally get to share it with readers!

At this point Dream Lover is not part of a series, but you never know. I'd actually love to write more sexy genie stories. The premise was great fun and there aren't a whole lot of them out there.

In a bit I'll post another short excerpt of the book.

    Thanks again!

  3. Congrats on the new release! Dream Lover sounds wonderful!

  5. As promised, here's another little taste of the book:

Soft lips slid over her shoulder and trailed down to her breast. A hot tongue licked the rounded top of one quivering mound and traveled across to the other one, pulling a hard nipple into soft heat.

Esme gasped in sheer pleasure, arching into a long, hard body. Soft strands of hair fell across her face and the heated caress of lips feathered over her chin, her cheeks, her eyes. Esme plunged her fingers into the silk of long, straight strands and pulled the exquisitely soft mouth to hers.

His breath was gentle on her lips, the musk in it bringing a flush of pure lust to her skin. Esme’s tongue came out to slip across the slightly parted lips, causing him to groan with pleasure.

Filled with ravenous need, she lifted her legs, opening them wide in unmistakable invitation. Her lover sighed as he slid into her.

His lips fell on hers, all signs of gentle persuasion gone as the heat of their joining spurred them to the next frantic level of lust.

His body started to move against hers, slowly at first, and then increasing rapidly in tempo and intensity.

Gooseflesh sprang from her skin and she began to shake uncontrollably against the tide of lust building within her.

He groaned her name against her lips and Esme sighed. She felt as if she’d waited her whole life for his touch, the sound of his passion drenched voice, the drift of his heated breath against her skin. She threw her head back as his body teased her closer to that elusive peak, playing against her erogenous zones with the practiced skill of a maestro in front of the world’s finest orchestra.

Her body climbed toward a maelstrom of incredible sensations and she reached to pull him closer, her hands wrapping around hard, round buttocks to bury him as deeply as possible inside her body. He groaned and increased his tempo.

Esme’s breath locked in her chest, her head fell backward on a gasp, and her body surged toward his before tightening in spine bending release.

His head lifted and he cried out, screaming her name into the darkened room. Esme felt him pulse inside her, pulling her into another powerful orgasm as he plunged deep and fast into his own release.

As they softened downward in gentle pleasure, his lips found her face again and worshiped there, trailing across her lips, her cheeks, and her eyes. He placed a gentle kiss on each quivering eyelid and sighed. “I’ve waited so long for you, Esme. It is time we are together at last.”

His words drifted away on a sigh and Esme suddenly realized she’d lost his warmth, his gentle touch against her fevered skin.

With a gasp she surged upright in her bed and was fully awake.

She looked around her empty room, blinking in confusion. Nothing. She was alone. It must have been a dream.

A dream? That’s wasn't possible. It had been so real. Her body clenched and moisture slid from between her legs. “That was some dream.” She murmured softly, licking her dry lips. Then she lay back down and closed her eyes on a sigh, smiling as she slid again into sleep. At the last moment, just before she fell into sweet oblivion, she heard his voice in her mind.

"Sleep well, my love. We’ll soon be together again."

Then black velvet darkness pulled him away from her.

  6. Congrats on having two new releases to tell us about this week, Sam.

I don't recall reading many stories/books (except Rachel Caine's Weather Warden series)about genies, especially romances. What gave you the idea to write about one?

    Ohhh, nice excerpt!

  8. Congrats on another new relase. This book sounds amazing. Actually, all your books sound amazing. I have some catching up to do :)

  9. Hey Anne!

That's one of the reasons I wrote a story about a genie. There just aren't that many out there and it's always been a fantasy I've been fascinated with. What's more fun than a sexy magical guy who wants to grant your every wish?

Thanks for stopping by again Anne, I'll bet you're starting to get sick of me, eh? You don't have to answer that! Snort!

  10. Hey Jolene!

Thanks so much! That's music to my ears. I'm sorry to create so much work for you but...well...I'm not really all that sorry. hehehe.

Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!

  11. Congrats Sam on the new release.it sounds really good. Thanks for sharing a snippet of the book.

  12. Thanks and you're very welcome! I'm always happy to share. #:0)

  13. Congratulations on another new release. This sounds like a very good story. I've read a few books about genie's and really enjoyed them. Will you write another book about genie's? Have you thought about writing books featuring other supernatural or paranormal beings?

  14. Congrats on another new release!

What is a wish holder and why is there a time limit on their wish?

  15. Aloha Sam!!=)

One of the very first questions to post into mind was... why genies? But since you already answered that I would love to know how you decided upon your character names. I love names and the reasons behind it.

Interestingly, I will be reading and reviewing my first Genie book soon. It's a title by Misty Burke and I'm really excited. Even more so today since learning of your title.

=) Love the Q&A and the premise to Dream Lover.

  16. Sorry, I forgot to click for email updates to see your response to my Q.

  17. Do any of the challenges your characters face come from life experiences?

  18. Hi, Sam.

I've never read a novel featuring a genie; I look forward in reading Dream Lover.
