HAVE YOURSELF A FAERIE LITTLE CHRISTMAS by Michelle L Levigne

Maurice- the exiled, shrunken Fae with wings even Tinkerbell would scorn--has one wish: to be real for Holly, the librarian. In her dreams, they are in love, but she doesn't remember or see or hear him when she's awake. He is only allowed is one day, four times a year, to be full-sized, able to talk with her and try to win her heart. Christmas is coming, and his next day as an ordinary man. As he waits impatiently for his rendezvous with Holly, life goes on in Neighborlee, Ohio. Albeit, life in Neighborlee isn't what most people would call normal. Especially when three couples come to town with various magical dilemmas to resolve.

Bethany is a local girl who became a Hollywood starlet. All she wants is an ordinary Christmas, sans paparazzi. With the help of Harry and his malfunctioning invisibility spell, she just might get it. And a lot more.

Wilfred and Philomena are best buddies, and their Fae relatives want them separated so each one can find their true love. But what happens when your true love is under your nose, and you can't convince him -- or her -- of that important little fact?

Lori is allergic to mistletoe, and on the run from her aristocratic relatives who want to pair her with an "appropriate" Fae man. She hides out in Neighborlee and meets Brick, who has some romantic interference problems of his own. He believes in magic -- but can he believe in Fae or think she's insane when she tells him the truth?

Christmas is the most magical time of the year -- especially for Fae in search of love in Neighborlee, Ohio.

  4. Hi, everybody!

Thanks for showing up so late in the day.
Some technical difficulties at the beginning of the day ....

Yes, I have more books planned, centered around Divine's Emporium, as well as the people you meet throughout the freaky little town of Neighborlee.

I've hinted elsewhere that Angela, the proprietor of Divine's, has some magical "problems" in her background, and in a book I hope to write next year, "Divine Knight," her knight in shining armor finally finds her, after centuries of being separated by an evil curse.

At least, that's what I have planned NOW. You never know how a book is going to change between the initial idea, the first draft, the final polish, and getting it out there for people to read!!!

  5. The first book, "Divine's Emporium," came out in the middle of November. We saw most of Maurice's 1st year of "exile," as he gets used to living without much magic, and essentially being invisible to anyone who doesn't have magic.

"Faerie Christmas" starts on his 1st anniversary at Divine's Emporium, continuing his lovelorn problems, and brings in some other Fae with problems of their own. There's pretty much a happily ever after -- or at least the PROMISE of happily ever after.

In fact, I just finished the first draft of a new "All's Fae in Love and Chocolate" short story, which ties in some of the people you meet/met in the original three short stories, as well as "Faerie Christmas." It's titled "Death by Chocolate," and starts with ... well, the Fae queen is dead, apparently of eating too much chocolate. And if you know anything about the Fae, dark chocolate is like the miracle drug for them. Nectar and ambrosia for the Greek gods, so something definitely is very wrong with that chocolate.

And you'll have to investigate with our heroine, Epsibella -- who is a friend of Lori, one of our heroines in "Faerie Christmas."

    Enough tempting?

  8. Right now I'm working on revisions for my 9th Tabor Heights novel. The Tabor Heights books are contemporary, inspirational romances. Book 7 came out in November, "Behind the Scenes." Book 8 is "Firesong," which comes out in February. Books 9 is "Forgiven." I believe it comes out in May.

  9. Wow, this sounds like it builds on the last one. Are they stand alones or do we need to read them in order?

    Congrats on the release!

  10. Hi, Vicky -

If you check back. (By the way, what are you doing up so late???? Aren't you worn out with Christmas shopping? )

Yes, at least for the Maurice stories, you do need to read them in order, just so you know what has happened efore. The other/future Neighborlee stories ... not so much. People you meet in one book might just show up with their own adventure in a future book. Right now, there are only these 2 Neighborlee stories, although I must admit that my YA fantasy series, The Hunt, ties into Neighborlee, because Dawn comes to live in Neighborlee, and the 4 runaways from Quartet come to find sanctuary in Neighborlee.

    I'm sneaky that way ....

Merry Christmas, and thanks, everybody who stopped by yesterday!
