Celebrating The Print Release Of Another Rough Rider Book From Lorelei James

Today we're celebrating the print release of book 8 in Lorelei James' Rough Riders Series - ALL JACKED UP.

When she's not squirreled away behind her laptop writing fun, sexy, contemporary erotic romances set in the modern day Wild West, Lorelei can be found reading everything under the sun, practicing yoga until she's a pretzel, shootin' her .22, watching the Professional Bull Riders tour on Versus, and running a kid's taxi service, all in the guise of avoiding housework and rustlin' up vittles.

Why does she have a particular fondness for all things western? Well, she's a fourth generation South Dakotan, living in the Black Hills, which is chock-full of interesting characters, including cowboys, Indians, ranchers, and bikers. The geographical diversity of the surrounding area showcases mountains, plains, and badlands. Living in and writing about rural settings gives her a unique perspective, especially since she's not writing historical westerns. Through her fictional world, she can show the ideals and the cowboy way of life are still very much alive.

She also write a dark, gritty mystery series under the name Lori Armstrong and her novel Snow Blind just won the 2009 Shamus Award from the Private Eye Writers of America for Best Paperback Original!

ALL JACKED UP Rough Riders, Book 8 by Lorelei James

Keely McKay knows Jack - and Jack Donohue is a certified pain in her Wranglers. The lone girl in the prolific McKay family, Keely needs another man giving her orders like she needs a hole in her boot. What she does need is a restoration specialist so she can open her physical therapy clinic - and prove she's left her wild-child days behind. That means dealing with buttoned-down, uptight Jack.

Jack is this close to securing a career make-or-break project, until he learns his lack of marital status puts him out of contention. When the notoriously hot-tempered and hot-bodied Keely begs him for help, he proposes a crazy idea. He'll oversee her project - if she acts the part of his loving fiancee.

Their sizzling lust makes it all too easy to go from butting heads to knocking boots - but outside the bedroom they're as mismatched as ever. The McKays remind Jack of the humble upbringing he left behind, and cowgirl Keely feels she doesn't measure up to Jack's big-city lifestyle.

When the dust settles, Jack and Keely must face the fact they're not fooling anyone but themselves - or they'll risk losing the real deal.

Product Warnings: This book by Lorelei James contains one hot-blooded cowgirl and one cool-headed businessman in a stripped-down, revved-up game of sexual truth or dare.

  27. Can't believe this is the eigth book in the series because reading something from Lorelei James is like starting from the beginning of the Rough Riders series. It all feels so damn spanking brand new. And I love the magic touch that she has because each relationship is so different from every other relationship, but it is still so damn hot. Makes me all tingly. Congrats on the release, Lorelei. You're the only author that I would buy both the ebook format AND the actual book as well. I'm really happy for you.

  49. Lorelei James Rough Riders is my ultimate keeper on my shelf! Love, Love, Love her! I must admit though, I'm a crazy fan with an even crazier way of reading! I refuse to read any of her books on my Kindle (while yes, I do buy them both in print and kindle)! I began this series reading print and I won't read a story until it's in print. (See...CRAZY!!!) The only story I've read that wasn't print was 6.5 and I will admit, didn't get the same affect as a print copy! I know, weird right! But I love her series and have ALL her books (under both names). I always am the 1st to buy a copy at the local bookstore-can't waste time waiting on Amazon or anywhere else to decide to finally ship! So L, keep em coming! I'd love to win this one-signed! As Keely, of course, is my fav and has been most anxiously awaited!
