Celebrating Maxine Sullivan's New Silhouette Desire

Today we're celebrating HIGH SOCIETY SEDUCTION, a brand new Silhouette Desire Release for USA TODAY bestselling author, Maxine Sullivan.

Maxine credits her mother for her lifelong love of romance novels, so it was a natural extension for Maxine to want to write her own romances. She thinks there's nothing better than being a writer and is thrilled to be one of the few Australians to write for the Silhouette Desire line.

Maxine lives in Melbourne, Australia but over the years has traveled to New Zealand, the UK, and the USA. In her own backyard, her husband's job ensured they saw the diversity of the countryside, from the tropics to the outback, country towns to the cities. She is married to Geoff, who has proven his hero-status many times over the years. They have two handsome sons and an assortment of much-loved, previously abandoned animals.

Maxine would love to hear from you and can be contacted through her website.

HIGH-SOCIETY SEDUCTION by Maxine Sullivan

A question of lust or loyalty....

He needed a mistress. A pretend mistress, that is. So when Jenna Branson confronted playboy billionaire Adam Roth, demanding he return money his brother stole from her family, Adam saw his opportunity. He'd look into her accusations, but she must act as though they're involved - intimately. Anything to rid himself of the unwanted attention of his best friend's wife. The proposition seemed simple, but soon their game of seduction was no longer just for show. Then a high-stakes confrontation forced them to choose between family loyalty...and the chance of forever.

  2. Hi, Maxine! Whoo-hoo! Glad I could join you at your party!!! I just had to mention how much I loved "Taming Her Billionaire Boss" and "His Ring, Her Baby"! Your story lines are both sensual and sentimental, tempting and touching! Your heroes are hunky, but they also have great heart : ) I have ordered your "Australian Millionaire" series--oh boy, can't wait to get my hands on them ; ) "High Society Seduction" sounds like a fabulous, "sparks fly" romance! Have fun at your party, and save me some cake and champagne!

  6. DeNita, thanks so much for organizing the cyber launch of my latest book today. 2010 has been an exciting time for me with 4 releases this year, making it 11 books published since I sold my first book to Silhouette Desire back in 2006. I’m still pinching myself. Of course, hitting the USA TODAY bestseller list with my April and June books has been the highlight of the year so far, and I’m hoping I might make it a third time with “High-Society Seduction”. That would be truly wonderful.

  7. Virginia, hi! How nice to see you here. And thank you so much for your lovely words about my books. I try to write warm and sensual stories, so I’m pleased that’s coming across in my stories. I hope you enjoy the Australian Millionaire’s series when you get them. They were my first babies.

It’s early morning here but once I wake up properly I might have a cake and champagne breakfast. Thanks for the suggestion.

  11. Nedma, thank you for your congratulations. And I hope you’ll get the chance to try High-Society Seduction. Even though it’s the second story in the Roth family series and is about the second brother, it’s a standalone book and can be read without reading the first book in the series, High-Society Secret Baby. Of course, I hope you’ll read that one too.

  12. Marilyn, it’s great to see you here. I love the reviews that you do for so many romance authors. You always make us feel good about our books.

I’m so glad that you loved Dominic’s story in the first Roth book (I loved that one too). Adam and Jenna’s story in my latest book was also an exciting story for me to write. Yes, you can bet there is sizzling chemistry between them.

I’m glad you entered my koala contest. Good luck!

  21. Congrats on the Launch Party! I know you'll do well with the release!
They said to ask questions, so...do you ever have problems writing 'slang' when dealing with different markets? once in a while, some authors confuse me with local or time (Rengency) slang. Of course, it helps sent the mood and helps me learn the culture, so not complaining per say, but sometimes can be hard to figure out, lol.

Anyway, thanks for the cool conteat on you site (already entered that one) and for this one!

  23. Marybelle, Chey, Jessica, Flchen1, Victoria and Nas Dean, firstly I must apologize for not getting back to the party yesterday. I’d been suffering an allergic reaction for days and I ended up with a mild migraine and had to go to bed.

Anyway, I was sorry to miss most of my cyber party, but I do appreciate you all dropping by and leaving comments about my writing and my latest book. It has such a gorgeous cover that I hope it leaps off the shelves.

  24. Victoria, you asked about whether I have problems writing slang. Yes, sometimes. But the Desire editors are great and they like to leave some of the flavour of our Down Under stories in our books, as long as it isn’t something too indecipherable for a reader.

    Great question. Thanks for asking.

  27. Robbie, thanks so much for buying my latest in Australia, which is my Jarrod dynasty book that's set in Aspen. Confusing? With 4 books out this year, and with both an Oct and Nov book that isn't connected, and then we have the same books released Down Under a month later, my head's spinning! I have to make sure I'm talking about the right characters when I blog. LOL!

Robbie, thanks for dropping by. Linda Henderson won our 3 Outback Billionaires & Babies books, and she's in for a treat with yours, Paula and my mini-series. And hey, congratulations on reaching the Borders Bestseller List last week with your latest book. Yeah!
