Celebrating Marie Treanor's New Blood Hunters Release

All day today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of book three in Marie Treanor's dark and sexy Blood Hunters Series.

BLOOD DESCENT by Marie Treanor

Blood Hunters Book Three

A child is born...into the final showdown of Vampire and Hunter

The face of a killer, the heart of a lost child… Konrad once led the legendary first team of Hungarian vampire hunters. Now, refusing to ally with the undead, he goes his own way, slaughtering vampires across the length and breadth of Europe.

The dying thoughts of one such vampire send Konrad to Britain in search of a dangerous instrument that might be just what he needs in his obsessive war with undead overlord Saloman – a war he’s determined to win at any cost. The only being who can lead him to the instrument and its current, evil possessor, is sexy, mysterious, young Glaswegian vampire Maggie, who holds herself aloof from her own kind.

Maggie sees much more than Konrad’s anger and cruelty. She makes it her mission to reach beyond the horrors of his past and find the man he should have been. Difficult, when he threatens her heart as well as everything she believes in; and when her whole being clamors for his body and his blood.

While journalists circle, about to break the news of vampire existence on mainstream television, Elizabeth Silk labors to give birth to Saloman’s daughter, and Maggie plays a dangerous game that risks everyone for her belief in one troubled man.

Marie Treanor lives in Scotland with her eccentric husband and three much-too-smart children. Having grown bored with city life, she resides these days in a picturesque village by the sea where she is lucky enough to enjoy herself avoiding housework and writing sensual stories of paranormal romance and fantasy.

Marie is the award winning author of nearly forty sexy paranormal romances - Indie, New York and E-published. She is represented by Robert Gottlieb of Trident Media Group.

  1. Good morning Marie and super congrats on your new release!

For those not familiar with your Blood Hunters Series, can you tell us more about it and how the books fit together?

And tell us about your massive Book Tour you're doing to celebrate the release of BLOOD DESCENT.

Thanks for the giveaway and I wish you much success with the new book!

Enjoy your party today and your book tour!

    1. Hi DeNita! Thank you! It is pretty exciting :).

Blood Descent is the third in the Blood Hunters series, which continues the overall story begun in the Awakened by Blood trilogy (BLOOD ON SILK, BLOOD SIN and BLOOD ETERANAL). The first trilogy was all about the reawakening of the Ancient vampire Saloman, his rise to power and his intense relationship with his accidental awakener, Elizabeth Silk.

The Blood Hunters books continue the tale from the point of view of Elizabeth's friends the vampire hunters, namely Mihaela, Istvan and Konrad.

Konrad, the troubled hero of BLOOD DESCENT is perhaps the most interesting of the hunters, because he hasn't bought into Saloman's alliance with the hunters at all! He believes all vampires should be exterminated. And then he meets the glamorous, curiously human Glaswegian vampire Maggie, who forces him to see things just a little differently :)

Anyway,BLOOD DESCENT is a bit of a milestone since it completes a few story arcs that have been building throughout the series, so a blog tour to celebrate the whole series seemed in order :). It's been organized by the very wonderful Bewitching Book Tours, lasts for two weeks of guest blogs, reviews, features and a tour-wide prize :). Hope to see everyone there too!

  2. Congrats! Do you have a favorite place in Scotland to visit?

    1. Thank you! Favourite place in Scotland? Well, I have a soft spot for Glasgow, my home town - I'm just back from there, visiting my brother - and it is, co-incidentally, also the home town of my vampire heroine Maggie :).It's big city, full of noise and unique character, and I do miss it!

I also love St. Andrews in Fife - home of golf, a fine university, a ruined castle and an equally ruined cathedral :).

They're personal favourites because I know them so well, but I suppose netierh has the beauty of the Highlands or islands :)

  3. Woot, Marie! Congrats on book 3! Does this wrap up this series? Or do you have new directions for us coming up? ;) (No need to include me for the draw--woot!)

    1. Thanks, Fedora :). No, it is a milestone in the series, but I'm hoping to do another three books before the end! Thanks for asking :).
